Actually, it was also terribad in the Aincrad arc. Shit fillers, chars that only matter in the ep they're introduced, etc. No excuses.

I've got another pairing, and it's a really good pairing at that. People who think Asuna x Kirito is a proper couple should read this manhwa, and learn what actual romance is.

Well,it was okay. Much, much better example than anything in SAO, that's for sure. Now if only the dating sim aspect wasn't in the SG anime ...

Stein's power-couple isn't over the top romance, it isn't Romeo and Juliet, it is just a realistic romance. Not SAO's illusionary romance, in which the characters don't really share much, if anything in common, and are creepily forced together as though they are in a Taylor Swift song. Either way, I think sometimes our own favorite couples are nothing more than our own wish fulfilments, so maybe I'm giving SAO too much crap. WHO AM I KIDDING?! SAO SUCKED!

Oh well, I'll just continue this thread with another favorite pair... But by the way, that talk about SAO, I don't really mind about you guys, but I personally liked Kirito x Asuna.

 

Anyway, another favorite pair of mine is Tatsuya x Miyuki. I don't know if that counts though, considering they're siblings. Well, I'm still at volume 7 of the light novel, so I don't really know what will happen in the future.

My favorite couple is probably either Okabe x Kurisu or Faye x Spike, but I think that the weakness of Faye x Spike is that Faye is unable to save Spike from his own sins, and after she learns about her past, she becomes a less powerful female character. Okabe x Kurisu on the other hand was wound perfectly into the entire plot-line of Stein's Gate that I sometimes wonder if it rivals that of the romance in Clannad.
