And as far as the restriction of what is too mature for Batoto? Perhaps I can clarify the restrictions a bit more.
Definitions
Of course, this is just a general outline of some questions you may want to ask yourself when uploading comics. The best bet is to use your common sense and think of the comic as a whole, not just the chapter you are currently uploading. After all, some comics start out vanilla and then take a dive for the perverse later on in the story.

- Is genitalia shown?
- Are children being exploited?
- Are children involved in sexual conduct of any nature?
- Is there sexual intercourse?
- Are there explicit sex scenes (i.e., very little or nothing at all is left to the imagination)?
- Are there excessive sex scenes (i.e., every chapter has a sex scene, or most chapters focus on sexual acts)?
- Does the comic possess redeeming qualities beyond the sexual content (i.e., is it merely fapping material, or does it have an actual storyline and plot)?
- Does the sexual content enrich the storyline, or is it simply for pornographic purposes?
- Do you think that you would be grounded for life, and/or killed by your parents, if you were caught showing this to your 12 to 15-year-old sibling?

Chapters vs. Volumes.
Spoiler
Original topic
We do not have have strict rules on how things need to be uploaded. Chapters and volumes are both equally fine.
However, if we have the choice between chapters and volumes our choice will be in favor of chapter since they are easier to navigate with (and other minor reasons).
But: Since it is unreasonable to force everybody to upload only in chapters (especially for long series) there is nothing wrong with uploading volumes.
This means you are free to choose what way you want to upload.
If you feel you really want to upload something in chapters instead of volumes please read this:

We do understand that even though volumes are easier to upload it still takes effort to do so. I would therefore like to ask you to be prepared to upload a whole series in chapters (or at least very large parts for very long series) before you ask us to delete anything. This will, in my opinion, make it easier for uploaders to accept that their content is replaced.

- You will upload the series in question chapter by chapter as unapproved content,
- After an entire volume has been uploaded, you will contact me*,
- From there, I will review the content to ensure that the entire volume is accounted for and is a quality upload.
- After the content has proven to be acceptable, I will contact the contributor who initially uploaded the volume and explain why their upload will be removed.
- After those steps have been taken, I will approve the individual chapters and remove the original volume.

Watermarks.

Batoto's Current Policy on Watermarks
Typically we do not want them at all.* Since the comic might have been compressed and/or modified.
If there is any way to avoid having them, we try to do so to the best of our abilities.
Yet there are some chapters that are completely lost and only these rips exist for them.
* This does not include watermarks made by the group. This ONLY regarding watermarks not done by the groups themselves.

The standard is allowed until confirmed otherwise. That means if you cannot find their policy, it is safe to assume they don't have a problem with us hosting their work.
If the policy has been confirmed, it has to be followed regardless of the groups activity.

Duplicate Uploads.
Spoiler
We do not consider something a duplicate upload if either the group and/or the language are different. We will keep both chapters/volumes in this case.

Conflicting Policies - Joint Projects.
Spoiler
Original Topic
We will follow the "stricter" rule unless both groups together agreed and stated a rule regarding their joint projects.
Example 1: Group A: 1 day delay, Group B: 2 Days delay => Allowed with two days of delay.
Example 2: Group A: not allowed, Group B: allowed => Not allowed
Exception:
If the uploader is from the releasing group itself, we will host it regardless of the other party's rule.
Example: Group A: not allowed, Group B: allowed, member from group A or B uploads => Allowed

2) uploaded/approved directly by the respective copyright holder (self-publishing with Batoto as a medium)
Direct scans are not allowed unless they fall under rule 2).

Comment Section.

Comments in the comment box (option 3) should be limited to quick observations about the comic itself. It's not policy (nor feasible) for mods to look through every comment posted. Therefore, requests for a comic to be fixed via the comments are usually ignored. The correct place to bring broken comics to our attention is the QA forum / report issue with comic button (which takes you to the QA forum).
Also, trolling, long discussion and rants NOT related to the comic itself is also against our policy. The comment box is for SERIES discussion, not SCANLATOR discussion. An example of this is here: http://www.batoto.co...ve-so-life-r622, where fubuly unapproved about 2 pages worth of non-related comments.
