This manga somehow remembered me of Kashiwazaki Sena (realized, rich, beautiful, intelligent, innocent and with few true friends) from Haganai... I'm really sure that Yozora (more smart and more sadic) submitted Senna to things much worse like it was nothing though. EDIT: Nowadays other characters of similar background should be Kurousagi (who is explicitly abused like Sena) from Mondaijitachi and Stephanie Dola (who at least lose som,e bets first more like Inugami) from No Game No Life...

Now stranding for the original topic...

... There were all the people here (and in manga updates too) raging about the situations that Inugami-san gets confronted by Sarutobi... what seems more like a case that bullying is NOT OK when its a male on a female (link)... making it much worse than it seems. Really like the old ladies that don´t like Fairy Tail and Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi.

The thing with these developments are that the mindset is more like you have to win no matter what type of situation you are put in, and no matter what dirty trick they throw at you... almost like a JUMP protagonist... or the bamboo that bends but not breaks.

In the end of chapter 4 you can see that Inugami is capable enough to win when the conditions are even and fair, what is just her sphere of comfort... With Sarutobi, she is clear forced to step outside of it, and chapter 3 proved that she is capable of fight in unstable conditions, when she started throwing the books instead of bear with the standard that was put the books normally (though Sarutobi is just as adaptable).

She has the smarts and the effort, and the willpower lacking is just a little... after all Sarutobi is always striking where it hurts. About the punishments she is obliged to bear with, I'm standing by the fact that they aren´t even borderline, once its for the sake of comedy... or so I like to think.
