1. ! I don't know why, but no one mentioned the simplest thing ever. I would try to speak with my mom - she's probably super strong [??? marks].

2. Apart of that - he have 2x strong allies (Sun-Il and Sae-Young) so in his place I'd say: "all drops except skillbooks and unusable for you crafting items are yours, summon me strongest monsters you can, when I catch up with you we form a team to split xp, but for now weakening them for me  so I can kill them"

If I had the Gamer Ability... my head hurts just imagining up ideas to try...

My I tend towards rhythm games, so I feel like that might play into a damage dealer role (critical strike chance). Minute timing, and all...

As far as combat goes, I'd see if there were some way to macro things in such a way that I don't have to verbally call out a command. The ability to hotkey weapons so you can quickly draw them out without having to open up your inventory and select them would be amazing...

That said, I'd probably go for a speed type build, with lots of str, dex, and int. I'd be using my energy (mana, ki, w/e) as an extension of my own body, rather than as a projectile. Combat Mage, I think?

Forging energy weapons

-I have a fetish for Japanese longswords

-Guns, probably a sniper rifle type, so it'd shoot energy out of it

-Countless other things, since the strength of weapons manifested into physical form would be their versatility

Using energy for mobility

-Manifesting physical platforms to maneuver yourself around is a pretty classic, and tricky way to get around

-If there were some way to boost my raw speed through energy, I'd do that too

I'd probably have dexterity as my highest stat, with strength second highest, intelligence third highest, and vitality fourth highest. Wonder about the gear though.

The story that has not yet finished...?

The ability to hotkey weapons so you can quickly draw them out without having to open up your inventory and select them would be amazing...

Love that good way to use voice command effectively especially if you enjoy spell making as i do and find yourself with so many skill you don't know what to do with it, you change them or their orders betwwen fight so the guy who depend on an analysis before your hunt get trolled. So let's see F4 F8, meaning it's Bind spinning mana arrow combination so i raise my magical shield...? what? he inverted it with Chunbumoon inner ki activation and chunbumoon foot technique and is running away while picking is cellphone?

well if i had is power i would'nt have is trouble or bonus. No Chunbumoon or Yunhoonmon pals, no one to explain how the whole chewbacka work (illusion barrier and all that which got him the fundamentals of mana) i like random characters, the master of nothing decent in everithing type. i would go in Omg survival apocalypse mod and heavily use my invetory, stash all kind of junk and material organize it in packs i'll shove in it that i can unpack calmly where i want (tent, food, crafting supplies water, building stuff whatever) i'm naturally a low profile so i would'nt be as easy to spot as him, so i'll have more time to test my ability before being in utter danger.

testing the inventory : (won't state the obvious see if theirs a weight limit and stuff)

1) shove something that rot easily in an inventory slot and watch if it suspend time,

2) put a small animal a couple live fly (male and female) with food in a pierced pot for example and see if it dies/eat/reproduce and if i can put it in it.

3) test the limit of the size and the condition to put in and out object. try to put in and out a boulder (perfect thing to drop from a wall ^^)

my prior assumptions to confirm: supended time (innert and unchanging)/ no live being(constructs and golems not counting as live) /need to be able to physically move the object inside the inventory (and not just touching it while moving the inventory toward it which would make me laugh diabolically)

aside from that if i ever learn the gaia law, i need skill to defend against regular mobster slaver ****** and Abyss mobster slaver ******* cause gaia would punish me deeply if i ever use a fireball on poor innocents mundies who wanted to kill me for a snuff movie scene. i'm paranoid so i would think that from point blank.

The fact of having an ability, and witnessing another guy like black summoner and stuff having it would make me even more weary of the world, and reconsider mythology and sorcery as something practical and not some fun stuff to discuss with friend. I think i would discover magic by myself, but would'nt have the same level as Jeehan of spellmaking cause i would'nt be 50 in int which is sad.

2 build type:

  1. check my natural build (what and how it is naturally distributed) do some basic maths and try to steadily enhance my natural affinity so it doesn't change my style altogether, it just steadily enhance me
  2. there is 6 stats (no charisma sniff sniff) Str; Dx; Vit; Int; Wis; Luck; (i'm happy with my luck as is so no change with that except if i see influence in loot % i'll consider it does here) every level 2 point in Int, 1 point in vit+ (switch 1dx/1str or 1Wis/1Luck)

Jeehan base stat without chunbumoon buff to current level 21 before putting any stat points 10str ;11dx; 9vit ; 8int; 6wis: 9luck +  90 points.

  1. basically Dx = Wis x 2 Luck and vit mid, High mid Str, low mid int. so ( 26  str; 32 dx; 24 vit; 21 int; 16 wis; 24 luck)
  2. 18 levels since base 3 so 36 int, 18 vit 9 the others so (19 str; 20 dx; 27 vit; 44 int; 15 wis; 18 luck)

dunno my natural build type so dunno which i'll choose but as is i prefer the second (but then naturally Jeehan was more a dex type fighter even if he did'nt know it (he really felt good when doing martial arts and enjoyed it better and is whole fighting style is based on hit'n run tactic and dodging, but well if you're slow and unprecise, not really useful)

for skills :

like many others i would check what is already inherent of my gamer class (options/other stuff) and be soooooo happy with the basics i nearly would'nt mind the rest at first (but paranoia will get me back on my feet)

Inventory (oh so sexy thing wich remove the troubles you get when crafting moving furnitures and stuff mighty),

Gamer's body {+sleep which remove afflictions and cure you} (you mean no more asthma? flat foot hyper laxity diseases and risk of deformation of the bones and stuff...no more risk of long terms injury? meaning no more barrier? it even dumb pain a bit? GENIUS, only trouble...does it affect my shape or can i still work out to loose fat? if not shapeshifting form in future skills...am i unaging? if so..well thanks gaia, hope i can still die if i wish so tough immortality doesn't attract me)

Gamer's mind (so my mind can't be blown away by witnessing chaos primordial being and gods and if it gets over my head i won't have the rabbit syndrom in front of a coming car lights full open)

Skill absorptions (Books can be absorbed and all the knowledge from them retained, so i don't have the human limit which make you forget unused or unrecent knowledge...so sweeet... book store checking if i can absorb normal how to books if so great (crafting books are first on my list, i love crafting (enchanting mostly) in game but i'm not really good irl ....if not great disapointment, but still with my inventory i'm a walking library so i'll use my money on them still) i'll buy abyss history books on the auction plus basic crafting books magical science etc (and when i feel cocky enough i'll buy a bunch of skill books)... or if i can from external more difficult to track down dealers.)

Skill creation (or more exactly shortcuts ^^ as seen in the manga jeehan doesn't need voice activation he can create and use skill from the get go which then become skill, example the whole process behind the mana shield take time from the re-creation focus dilate expand shape harden... but then is memorized as a skill with a voice command which then does instantly all the mana manipulation to do so which permit to quickly use the skill faster and also permit to expand one repertoire without having to train continuously to do so quickly. but as sun-il said one who rely on tools doesn't grow as easily, the hard path would actually be stronger in the long term, multiple variable spell change in an instant from various space points and distance without effort on instinct while having a natural conversation with someone else.....godlike. another limitation of the system, except some particular cases you can't name your skill, even when it's your creation like mana arrow, why? is it because it does already exist and is common? one of the first thing i would check when i discover a skill i can name is if their is a rename function if not then i would be really angry for a while, and would name my special skills with catchy phrase i can use in a conversation or during feint and fool's act which are deeply usefull to quickly one shot arrogant guys(which still tend to be skilled so better quickly dispose of them without a fight) if i can i would buy a cool grimoire type of book plus make synthesis printed pdf and list my skills under the name i choose with the description provided by the system plus my own insight on how to use my skill, my synthesis would be short pre chosen associations of skills which i can use for certain effects.    Need further explaination with an example: Mana arrow i would name Ma, not M.A, just say ma, spinning mana arrow Mas, spelling mass, flaming mana arrow maf, spinning flaming mana arrow masof, as masssfff i more difficult to sayre repetivly than masof (mana arrow spinning on fire ^^) the goal is that tough as the skills grow it's more difficult to remember such code than the function clearly stated it's a hell lot easier to say Mas Mas Mas Mas than 4x time spinning mana arrow and quicker with current jeehan spawn of arrows pers spell you can rain arrow on your prey like a full regiment of archer, for more mana consuming ability i'll use codename i like or primary function of the skills on creation or mythological homage, for a powerful and unreal savage fire that consume nearly all my mana to scorch an area quickly in a tiny ash dust, something like Raaïkashh/ Wipe evidences /  promethean fire)

No more inherent stuff:

For skills i would in top priority focus on survival skills for that i would use knowledge i can use on abyss and normal people alike, mundies stuff, various craftings, cooking chemistry, first aid........

Then multipurpose skill for fun (let's be adult, stuff that enhance my sexual skills as well as other skills (yep i'll still think like that while making spells i want unmundie skills for the abyss girls out there, massage, yoga etc...)

to fight: if i can absorb how to books then absorb all kind of normal martial arts and martial books and just train my body example as you cannot sustain long term injury or bone dilatation and deformitys, while you're not yet strong (as braking trees with a fists) and still normal hit hard on really hard stuff a big Rock for example and slam into it so you enhance basic hit/punch/kick mastery while enhancing steadily the resist damage and pain skill.) i like human normal martial arts so i would be content with them and would develop my own synthesis mage style close combat enhanced system upon them later.

if i can't absorb them, then it will be less efficient but i don't care, i'll do stuff i enjoy with friend for my daily life some i already do, larp weapon training with friends on sundays, some cycled 3 month discoverys of style for fun plus regular english boxing 2 times a week. and on my own serious own style and body reinforcment from the get go so i can survive in the abyss. meaning i will more likely use tools or magic but if theirs a magic resist or you're in serious trouble with non abyss people you need to know how to stand your ground.

i would grind as i do in games like oblivion when i make a roleplay character even more so because their ain't no level scaling in the real world, meaning on my own discreetly as possible.

illusion barriers: I wouldn't play to much with illusion barrier or aoe at first untill i have a decent 20-30 level. as as magic is concerned it's easier to spot an area type of influence than a more concise one. so what you do to enjoy some discretion would probably have the opposite effect and be like a light in the abyss (the sea) all the unknown fishies will come for you, if only because they're curious, when i attain that level i'll grind that ability like a madmen all day long while being ready for combat with traps and other stuff because it will attract attention, day and night as long as it take to have high level even if i don't even fight or watch what i can make with it, then with history, and abyss contruction and architecture book (is their abyss schools? when you're high level and ready to fight anyone on the spot) i would then try to create pocket dimensions with conditions, time dilatation, single entry point (like the special room of the chunboomoon) and stuff, not as much for training but more for crafting and sleeping. crafting stuffs take a while, enchanting surely too, and personally i need to sleep 9 hour a day some only 6 or 5 (lucky them) so i would be able to live in a small place which can go with the situation of a person who does little work and earn few coins and still actually live, sleep and play with abyss chicks in a palace in extended space under my conditions when we open the gates, depends how the mechanic works, if i can(t create it on the spur of the moment, as the chunbomoon room seems to be permaent and required skilled enchanters to make and sustain, (they only access it they don't recreate it each time) i would at least make a small password entry 1:2 time hidden shack in which i'll go to craft and sleep, even if it require more ressource and make a spot where ennemies could potentially ambush me.

for spells:

loads and loads and loads, some specialized some multipurpose based on this basis, i like fundamentals and global grasp of things with multiple application. to re use the example of the arrow which we heavily see on the webtoon. he mainly use and upgrade the spinning version. it is efficient, but different from my inherent grasp of thing and affinity. i would have more than one skill coming from mana arrow, spinning, shaterings, exploding, suspended and mana wired triggered for trap, elementaly charged fire, ice whatever, and all those i would'nt really grind, sure they would level when used but i would'nt precisely do so they'll do so naturally, i would grind the basic which they enhance MANA ARROW and grind that only.  Another and better example from the show, the finisher spining mana bot is actually only 600% x the damage of the normal mana bolt, it's more difficult to grind, yet if you grind the base mana bolt you enhance considerably your finisher.

as person have different idea grasp etc.... idea and skills would be different, two difference from the main character let's focus on the skil he trained when he tried to think is build when he didn't yet knew he could do zombie illusion barrier (remember in the mountain, he created mana shield mana arrow and spinning mana arrow) if i limit myself to the same pattern as him, 3 new skill i would have first do so, instead of the mana shield wich i will call mana barrier, i would have made a dense shield like (round like a targe but wider in the center while really focusing on density to make it the sturdier possible) which i can guickly use like a targe on directional angles which is edged on the extremities of the circle, second i would have used the spining on this defensive skill to basically have a circular saw for close range and a shuriken to throw for evading ennemy close range. for long range i would have...(well sorry there will be four skill because of the process of creation of this skill, not the three forementionned) first condensed the basic mana bolt even if it lose a bit of its explosive range area, so i is bullet sized then would have made a mana dense hollow and oblong case around it with a variable level of density more on the front and just enough to maintain the compressed mana bolt insidein the rest. the goal being to have a basic some centimeter penetration which will then have the compressed mana bolt quickly exploding on impact while being inside the target, basic idea being than inside explosion are more efficient than on the skin explosion because their is a dispersion of force, especially if the strength of the explosion is low in the first place, so an exploding mana bullet  which i would call Be, pronouncing béh.

PS: i know my way of writing isn't the most legible or the best quality wise as i don't second check and tend to do a lot of grammatical error on my first draw, but i think it's still enough to explain what i think and isn't so horrible as to demand to redo it..so i'll leave it as that.

what i don't get is why the above posters assume no-one already came up with the 'ask your mom' line, try going back to page 1 of this thread, its mentioned enough times there. seriously...

what i would do with the ability is see how specific my skills can be such as trying to form a useful new skill and then see what the most versions of it i can make or if those new versions can all be done by the original without needing to be made individually.

i would never have used my initial points for str as that had no reason besides verifying he wasn't hallucinating. i would probably not need to raise my int much as for most of my education til now i am in the same situation as that class rep, so i assume my int would be high enough to only raise it by 1 or 2 for sake of triggering mana control (if not already given). The Gamer gives the ability to a person who isnt really talented in any aspect originally meaning he has to spend more points than i would most of us would have to (we would assign points to our current strengths and interests anyways which are likely to have higher initial values than he had) similar to how his friend has lots of stats for his level. would definitely raise wisdom so it is at least 2:1 ratio (int : wis) jee-han is right about life being more important than getting caught  up by a new ability.

i wouldn't have to make the crafting skill or cleaning skills after getting the ability, because if it properly configures to you when it activates it would already have them listed (our schools make you do art enough and i wasn't too bad in it either. plus my mom is a single parent and raised me and siblings to be self-proficient so cleaning and cooking skills already acquired, and we are a maths family which is why i assume decent int) i take after my mom in physical build too so i could probably put some points into vit and dex (might just save your life in an accident)

Spoiler

as for testing the system, i would spend the better part of a day just creating and destroying the illusion barriers, after the first few i would judge what kind of exp is earned from just making the barrier (to the barriers skill level) and then the same for destroying (whether the destruction also levels or is made at max level like jee-hans gamer mind and body). after these first few tests i would then try making some of the filled IB's kill a single opponent, destroy, remake, kill 2 opponents up to 5 see if there's any difference there. regardless of those results i would then do the same over in increasing groups of 5 and after hitting roughly 50 in increasing groups of 10. all of this would test whether or not the IB levels just from being made or destroyed or whether the internal kill count has an effect and which has the best efficiency of exp for time required. all in all this would probably take from the end of a Friday night until the end of the following Sunday to fully check and i'd note down anything worth remembering. all this would be to assist in the creation of high-class/high-tier IB's and internal monsters for the sake of fast leveling and efficient item farming to be tested next or in the final day of this.

i would attempt to first create a form of teleportation, levitation and a few basic close-range, mid-range and long-range attacks. the magic barrier i would make and learn to level 5 and then attempt to make different versions of it. from these i would try to then augment the types. such as how jee-han learned to fire a mana bolt upon learning to make IB's and then made a chargeable spinning version (skipping the just chargeable and just spinning ones in the process) and like how he made the mana arrow then followed it with a spinning mana arrow (i assume he never leveled the normal arrow afterwards)

if my int was at a good high base to begin with, and it didn't require too many points i would invest in getting 100 int to see what effects it has and whether anything unlocked or not (also so i could learn that divine skill before i lost the opportunity to provided i had such a friend and opportunity in the first place). i expect my luck to be pretty much 1 or 0 so i likely wont bother putting points into it even if its a miracle and higher lol.

while i wouldn't end up making the fools act skill (just not in my nature to try something so... moronic) i would probably end up with a lot of the basic skills jee-han would come up with excluding the weapons and martial arts, though i probably would get one or two eventually they wouldn't be from skill books or be a set bonus (need very convenient circumstance for that).

in the ability User Interface i would see what every single button can do and try calling out all the relevant commands and note the layout and setup down on paper. for example when i open the options i wouldnt go straight to disabling dungeon entry but would first see what each of the game, video, audio and settings tabs look like etc. because if the visual settings had the ability to mess with how you see the world, i would want to know right away, same for if the sound/audio tab can let you mute individuals or more specifically turn general sound on or off, if i were to be deafened or already deaf when i got the ability it would be nice to know if there was an option to re-enable it again while ignoring the physical limitations of it.

with the user interface sorted i would know what i can and cant do without skills, and i can then focus on trying t make the skills for things i still want to do. such as teleportation, while it would be cool to find it out from the black summoner how he does it, it would likely be specific to him (as a black summoner) and thus require you learning a bunch of other things before you can learn it, and at worst i could end up with a body like sung-ah's if things go wrong (not a risk i would take). my attempt at teleportation would have to come after making a mana shield/barrier because the way i visualize teleportation would require a similar mana configuration, would try making a flat wall of mana in front of me in the shape of a circle/oval (roughly) and rotating most of it while keeping the center relatively still, i would then try to visualize a location important to me that im not currently at and then push through the center of the mana field i just made. and hope it results in a teleportation spell that warps time-space, if it didnt work as intended it might just project the location instead making a 'magic mirror' for viewing which would be acceptable too, and at worst nothing would happen and i would need to replenish the wasted mana.

as mentioned above Jee-hans base stat without chunbumoon buff's to level 21 before putting any stat points are; 10 str, 11 dx, 9 vit , 8 int, 6 wis and 9 luck +  90 points. personally i get the feeling my own base stats would roughly amount to; 23 str, 15 dx, 20 vit , 61 int, 16 wis and 0 luck. these would be because of personal efforts and my upbringing (which dont use stat points) and genetics (str and int in-hereted from mother, wis and luck from father). though i had to do things as a child that were equivalent to working out as a kid hence why my str and vit values would be higher than jee hans, and i was a smart capable kid most my life before i stopped doing things i had no interest in. this would mean that after leveling up and applying the +90 stats i would probably look something like this:

23 str, 32 dex, 20 vit , 100 int, 50 wis and 0 luck.

this balance might trigger some interesting skill creations or stat balances which could be very usefull. especially after applying any passive effects i manage to learn and level up.

with further level-ups afterwards heading towards lvl40/50 i could evenly contribute to dex and wis, which should help increase my dodge and evasion rate aswell as my survivability, though im not yet sure the effect of raising wis (which is kind of a risk in itself) i would assume it would allow me to make better judgement calls, as a wise and experienced strategist will win war simulations more often than a smart upstart (who just learns things easier and faster)

after all that i would probably just continue by levelling my favourite skills as high as possible until i come up with a way to craft/enchant weapons and equips, and use ice element manipulation (where i would have the most fun experimenting and leveling) as i have an attachment to the ice element. as for fighting style it would probably be a personal mix of melee and magic, which would use heavy magic attached or applying to a physical element (such as sword or fist or shield/armour) while flitting around avoiding attacks.

but most importantly i would make sure never to get bored doing it as it would be my form of entertainment separate from daily life

Raise Int, Luk and Wis to 60 in a ratio of 1:1:1 while practicing Movement Magic (eg. Teleportation, Blink, Speed/Agility Buffs) as well as Crafting. Gather Mana, Compress it, Condense it, buy loads of water, diffuse small amounts of liquefied Mana into said drinks and test effects, attempt to add different traits to the Mana before diffusion (eg. Healing effects, energizing effects, buffing effects.) Open up store and proceed to sell the best drinks on the planet. Profit???

Raise Str, Dex and Vit in a 2:3:1 ratio, train in parkour and acrobatics, train in Ninjitsu. Become a Ninja. Oh, also train in Time Magic, attempt to achieve immortality/eternal youth.

STR
VIT
DEX
INT
WIZ
LUK

I have come to the conclusion that given the stats and my likely end goals (i.e. live forever).. the optimal build would be to focus on VIT, INT, WIZ & LUK. There is no DEF stat, hence my belief (I would test it though) is that the only way to improve something akin to defence would be mainly via 1) equips & items and etc, 2) passive & active skill effects such as damage reduction via mana shield and 3) maybe environment related effects such as having a wall in the way of an attack.

Hence, supposing you maximise defence via the former three methods, you can pump up VIT and be impossibly difficult to kill.

To further make it impossibly difficult to kill me, I would focus on AOE passive/active hp regain skills, life/"mana" steal skills, buffs/debuff skills, status & CC effect skills and stacked DoT skills mainly, while ofc developing decent alternate methods of attack (magic, engineer/craft mechanical weapons and etc, pets, etc).

A fight with me would go something along the lines of:

I stack passive life/mana steal skills specifically doing damage over time.
I stack a whole host of other damage over time skills.
Because I just need to stack and sustain them, I can use other skills then to also deal additional damage during the free zones in the scheduling of my attacks (Because I would have high int, magic mainly but more mechanical stuff would be cool also).
My additional army of pets/automations/party members whatever would help deal dps.
I sustain my hp easily with healing skills, actionable life/mana skills, items and shit, and also the healing over time I get from the life steal skills.
I wouldn't get hit much also because I would have quality equips that focus on damage reduction effects one way or another, and then even with the big hits, my high vit would easily allow me to sustain enough to heal myself quickly.

or in other words,

I just sit there and bleed everyone to death, sleep the more attractive girls and do things with them, while my hp doesn't even go < 90% even when it's me vs many. Would make for fast dungeons also because a lot of my attacks would be usable on multiple targets at once and have large AOE.

Would also make it so I can heal others ofc but initially I would focus solely on my own survivability. I would also find out the upper limits of strength in the abyss, or rather find out everything there is to know about from the abyss via his network. If I know what level I have to be to reach a "comfortable" situation I can focus on dps (I would return to my old plan of action (speed caster)) and other more fun things and abuse my high intelligence to exploit the universe.

considering the broken-ness and OP-ness of the gamer ability, given time its not unreasonable to see jeehan (pff more like one of us) get 100 (if this is the max value though i doubt it) in all the stats, which itself may cause for an interesting situation, though i have the feeling that his stats and levels have no respective limit. though INT would stop having a positive visible effect after a while if his WIS isnt high enough to support it. being really smart but inexperienced causes one 2 stall/second guess themselves and spend ages on even the smallest details. since time is very important for this kind of ability the sooner i get it and the less time wasted after getting it makes all the difference.

jeehan should have told his friend about his situation much sooner, though if he had he likely wouldnt have the yunhon soul recovery (nor even had a chance at acquiring the divine technique lols) and his friend should have offered up the time altering training much sooner, jeehans martial skills would be higher, and through the training so would more of his base stats (non-point expenditure) thus putting him in a favorable situation when people started hunting him down, but enough about jeehan and his friend xD

another realization i had apart from my earlier post is that skills with effects are surprisingly under-rated/rare in the gaming world it seems, and so its unlikely for the author to consider implementing them. which means only those of us aware of their existence would be able to fathom their creation and implementation. i have played 2 or 3 games (wait for it) that feature these types of skills for either half or nearly all their skills regardless of class and build... and i have played over 130 (yup boom) MMO's, some for only a few days others for a few months or even the occasional few i have played for years. in these games casting a spell or using a skill often resulted in a debuff for the enemy alongside its normal damage calculation and effects, a buff for yourself or even the rare one that did both at the same time. sure these skills are weaker than compared to other games to make a balance for them, but there is a certain level of security one can feel by having a row of 10 self-buffs and seeing multiple debuffs on the target.

sometimes the buffs stacked or just reset the timer to full when triggered again (not 100% chance but they were common enough on boss mobs when a full party is attacking and setting them off) but the sheer power of a row of buffs even with small effects can make a massive difference, and i would try asmany combinations of skill creations or leveling to get those additional effects and stats and buffs where i could if i were to have the ability. a plain attack is never guaranteed to hit, harm or defeat your opponent for you, having skills set aside that cause buffs on casting and debuffs on contact can turn the tide in my favour, when even if a power skill hit may not. theres more to be gained by hitting the target with DoT effects or debuffs that hamper their attempts at HoT self buffs/heal spells. being able to cause a burn when using fire magic, frozen moments when using ice, and flinching when using electrical or the previous types (yup people flinch cause of burns and freezer-burns) could give me the unexpected chance at a critical strike when its most needed. also being able to gain various types of speed boost buffs from casting wind magic can be a powerful weapon and a surprise to an opponent.

getting alchemy as a skill to create potions that can trigger various non-combat buffs like increased drop rates and item value would be high on my list to do.

i personally hate physical exertion, but at the same time if its doing something i have even a slight interest i get a high and adrenaline rush like there's no tommorow and suddenly you would think im a completely different person. i would want to enjoy the fights as duels for fun (not to the death preferably) as much as possible while still using the ability when and how i feel like it, be that making more complex skills or levelling them up to increase their effects, or searching for even more obscure limits of the system (just what is strictly impossible when looking at the ability indepth from an analytical research perspective etc)

all in all, i use the ability for my own personal enjoyment regardless of the worries or tensions of the world around me, if that causes clashes that risk my life now and then so be it. but even then i would want to fight with absolute control over limitless fighting patterns and combination sequences. at other times my enjoyment would be of the intellectual type creating new stuff of increasing rarity and power until i eventually enter a realm of power that can no longer be classified by only a human level understanding hehehe

Spoiler

I always LoL'd when mobs would render themselves unconscious, or burst down another with friendly fire.

You know, i still have those games somewhere...!

Haha, Fallout 1 & 2 were really epic games. Me and all of my friends played it at least 3-5 times and still discovered something new.

In the older games like this, you could tell that authors had really a lot of sense of humour. Example:

Spoiler
anyway... All hail the LUCK ! That's what every real RPG fan should skill ^^

PS: I have Fallouts at home, too. Never ever throw away epic games ;)

1. Life:

Life still goes on outside of the abyss. Home, Family and Friends matter the most.

I would get my earth elemental to make me a large island. Then I would use other spells to hide it from mankind. (This is to not effect humans so Gaia wouldn't try to kill me)

On this Island I would make it like Hogwarts: Library of magic, Greenhouses of herbs for potions, magical animal reserves etc... I would raise my family on this island. Live like a king, harem included.

Pay me money and I will raise your children in a safe environment...

2. Stats:

Mage centric, primary Intel, supported by wisdom. Would at least have 50 stat points in all other stats. (Have to be at least lvl 50 with additional training with Sun-Il in Str/Dex/Vit). Yes I could but those 250 total stat points all into Intel and be uber powerful one spell kill all in Abyss fights, but I would want to improve all aspects of my life.... I want to be a Lucky(stat) SoB.

3. Powers:

A. I would have gotten a Messer skill before summons: Illusion magic/Charm/Mind Control

B. Next I would focus on buffs, like cleric and paladins have. Add +10 strength for 10 mana per min. LvL 0. If I lvled up 10 of these skill and kept them all on all of the time... well you get the idea.

C. Utilitarian skills like clairvoince and Conjuring water. These skills are worthless in games, but IRL they would be really useful. I would take much time to learn lots of these utilitarian skills. (Lockpicking, Hacking, Sneak, Tracking, Crafting etc...)

D. A Nonverbal cast skill skill.

E. I would try my hardest to make a copy skill. Maybe Observe at higher lvl can do this. I would want to copy a skill that I see from someone else:

F. Master all the elemental skills because they seem to multiply usefulness

Ultimate Goal for powers would be obtain and master the insane powers. Sun-Il mentions psychic powers.  If you can get all those types of powers like Telepathy, Telekinesis, Precognition, who would care about the skill Life Steal.

Be rich! that's the best thing about the powers. Become rich, travel the world, adventure, learn everything! That gamer power is as close as you can get to the ultimate/number 1 skill.

  • LocationInside a sword.

Probably, I'd go all Planescape: Torment and build my Wisdom to the point of being able to nonbelieve people's existence.

Offense:

I would attempt to control my mana with my feet.

That way I could make hidden spells.

Like send out a line of mana towards my opponent, and they shoot spikes of mana out of the ground.

Or leave traps behind where my foot was, so if my opponent is charging me he will run onto them.

As nice as spinning mana arrow is for killing NPCs/undead spirits, it is to straight foward.

I would rather make Mana Boomerangs (Or a homing missile) so that the enemy would have to take his eyes off me to track it. (Of course he could have some kind of counter)

Defense:

Mana shield is nice and all, but at least put some mana spikes on it to serve as offense and defense. Thorn aura =)

I would brainstorm 3 of 4 different mana defenses to be able to stack multiple ones.

Spinning Mana Shield

Surround the body closely with ki like Sun-Il does.... and (If possible) a super condensed smaller mana shield that auto moves

Mana balls that stay near me and auto attack a nearby enemy.  This allows me to cast a different spell, so 2 spells attack at the same time.

CC:

Mana rope is awesome, could he do anything with mana thread?

Even if it needed to get to a higher lvl to be useful, because the mana dissipates... still way useful.

Mana caltrops... controlling where an enemy attacks from can be useful, especially vs multiple opponents.

Lastly grow mana vines from the ground like roots: If the spell can be cast from my feet rather than hand.

If I could use mana that originates away from my body that would be even better.

That would open up lots of new options. But probably too OP.

You could do something like kekkaishi: So versatile...

Or make mana spikes in the heart....

what could be cool too, and pretty simple is to create a spell that suck itself mana untill it's dry to sustain itself use it as a meta, second meta use life/blood/etc... as a secondary ressource to replace mana, then make a bond that sustain itself with the mana and life of the target with a exponential boost of the sapping effect to enhance the bond. or any effect that cost little to cast but that use the power of what they hit to trigger powerfull effects. but that's the wrong post for that....
