[ANIMA]

hell really is another version of heaven. a version with no loving god who keeps everything peaceful. a place to wreak havoc at your own risk. a place to make plans of invading heaven, that will never really go the way you hoped. or try to take over the throne, not that doing this would make you the new ruler. there are even people who live rather peacefully in hell, just surrounded by items that remind them of the moments in their lives that they regret the most.

That's still different than Heaven and sounds more depressing than what Fay made it seem. 

Anyway, doesn't matter. I don't want to get in to theological debate in RP forum.

Yeah, my bad. I just have a random thought that since it's the bad guys who got sent to hell anyway, wouldn't such a lawless place be a 'heaven' for them? plus since you are already in hell, there will be no more conscience torture, no?

LotR fantasy is my favorite, but I don't mind other genres if setting is interesting. 

 

Still, I gotta ask, what you mean by semi-realism?

i'm not too sure what preferences i have. only tried war, which was supposed to be battle oriented, but... we ended up mixing in some plot as well. and ero, that is fun. but banned here.

If players are allowed rejoining then I don't see a problem personally. I'll be happy to shell out 20 characters for a RP that is active with high deaths rather than for RPs which never take off.

 

So you have one supporter if you every try your hand for Horror RP. I'll surely join.

 

Semi-realism is fun if it doesn't get all Gantz like. As for realism I am up for that too.

Liar once made an RP where half of PCs were dead in the first two pages and people found it amusing before anything.

Sounds awesome. Call of Cthulu was an awesome RPG and you die all the time in that. It's all about the story for horror.

In my experience, such an RP is incredibly hard to pull off. 

Because how does one RP this? Imagine a series of post of you just rping that you are scared shitless. Also, if it's only one victim at a time, how do you keep the other players entertained? You cannot keep the aspect of mystery very long. At least, not this kind of mystery. 

The advantages of high fantasy rps is that put the emphasis on hero character which are easy to translate into an RP. 

Though, mind you, LoTR turned out to be an incredibly lame campaign.
