Batoto 

3rd Great Calender Gregorian

Year 207NF February 3rd

 

Around a millenia ago, a way of life was bestowed upon the world of Batoto by someone known as the Pioneer. This way of life created the great city known as Batotia, which spread out, civilisation cropping up in all parts of the world as it did so, until one day, these countries wished for independence. The cities were embroiled in war, and the old city of Batotia was destroyed. With it’s destruction, the Great War of Batoto ended, though with it, came a divided world.

 

Unity slowly and gradually began as it became clear that citizens needed to trade in order to thrive, and amongst this new hope was New Batotia. All was not lost afterall.

Though the idea of unprecedented prosperity was what brought the old city to it’s knees and into it’s grave. Only time will tell if this reincarnation of the once great city will fall to the same mistakes.

• The RP uses the Gregorian calender. "NF" for the year refers to "New Federation", marking the end of the old city Batotia as a result of the war. New Batotia that is located in Labato was founded only 20 years prior to the RP. For those unaware the Gregorian calendar is the one we use most often in day to day life.
• In the past, the Auldrant Calendar was used as the 2nd Great Calendar upon the establishment of the great city of Batotia. It's reign lasted from 0B to 1306B, with the last 50 years embroiled in war, and it was essentially dismantled for the 5 years before officially destroyed in 1306B, which is when the New Federation began, and all countries gained their independence.
• The First Great Calendar is called the Grand Spirits Calendar, all months named directly after spirits, such as Efreet, Sylph, Maxwell, Rem, Gnome, Undine and so on, with days of the week named after elements. The reverence of the spirits may have subsided from the times before Batotia, but they are still regarded as beings of incredible power.

Pacific Batoto Sea

Batonia - Situated in the Pacific Batoto Sea, it currently imposes itself as the strongest superpower in the world, being the leading authority on all matters. As of the creation of the Blades of Fealty they fear it’s influence spreading too far and becoming too strong. It’s capital is Annuncia. Batonia was once split by three factions after the destruction of the original city of Batotia, all of which came from different tribes. After some skirmishes, the most pragmatic of the factions created an Assassin Order, and won the dispute by having the leaders of the other two killed. The current ruler is Emperor Geoffry Grumpus the Third, who runs this monarchy.

 

 

 

Central Grande Ocean

Intrordia - The large country to the center of the Grande Ocean. It’s capital is Gendis and is known as a gigantic social central. As a result, trading is high here, as a result this country is well desired to be in any of the other country’s favor. Intrordia is the largest country in Batoto, and actually spans all the way up beside Labato. There is a bridge that connects the two countries. Intrordia was one of the factions that participated in the destruction of the city of Batotia, however it was only out of monetary interest. The city at it’s rate would soak up the entire world’s wealth and create a horrid economic situation. It opens for open trade with Labato and other countries, it’s oldest governing members see it as their duty to ensure that economy flows normally.

 

 

 

North Grande Ocean

Labato - The home to New Batotia, which is now the nation’s capital, though the original site of the city was on Batonia, it’s old residents moved here and began a new city. It is a place that promotes entertainment and the arts. It is connected on the east side to Intrordia. During the war that destroyed the original city, Labato was inhabited by isolationists. They were artistically talented, and they are the basis for the incredible architecture today.

 

Arc Fantasista - A small island founded by a very, very rich businessman, and has become a place of desire as a resort. It is home to the world’s largest casino, as well as colosseum. Known as the “Island of Games”. Everything is very safe, or so they claim. It is also home to the research into Virtual Reality, which is being funded by governments worldwide to be developed as a way to train soldiers in a more controlled environment. The island was originally uninhabited, but was extended through technology, and turned into the resort we know today.

 

South Grande Ocean

Patoll - A lawless land rampant with crime, known as “hell” to the civilized world, and the home to countless pirates. It’s been so long that imposing any kind of law on them has become impossible, simply because they have become so strong even amongst that chaos. It has no capital, only districts ranging from 1-25, each with their own expertises or conditions.

 

Host Atlantic Sea

The Host Atlantic is the coldest area of the world, most of the year, Sallator Cipher is here, going to other countries each only once every two months on a schedule. The isolation of the Host Atlantic Sea they say is perfect for the things they keep here. It is home to the Central Pole, a phenomenon that controls the world’s weather. People speculate that the Sallator Cipher spends so much time here in order to keep it running.

 

UNIQUE TERRITORY

Sallator Cipher, the Great Floating Libary - This is a gigantic floating library to say the least, it sells books and distributes them worldwide and is said to be home to ancient and most forbidden scriptures, as well as mystic. As a result, it has the Praetorian Guard, who guard it’s most sacred treasures.

STYLE

 

Style is your own unique style of combat. It controls what artes you can and cannot use, it can give you a special core technique, or allow you to modify your artes in certain ways to give yourself even more versatility, or power if you so choose. It can be as simple or complicated as you want it to be.

 

For instance a complicated one may have a mode switch feature or be stance-based, while a simple one may just give access to sword artes and a simple unique parry.

 

Here are some examples.

 

Spellblade: All Spell artes will also have a Blade version, weaker, but also faster, and can be chained easily. This style also gives the user access to a balance of spell artes and weapon artes.

 

Albane Style: The original swordsmanship. Gives access to every basic sword arte. This style gives the user access to a parry that allows them to reset the momentum of a battle once every so often.

 

Sheath and Draw: A unique swordsmanship that uses two styles simultaneously. Sheathed style moves are weaker, but faster, while drawn blade moves are stronger, yet slower. This style has one draw move, and one sheathing move to switch between styles with ease.

 

TP/Technique Points

 

TP is the skill resource for all Tales games. However it will work a bit differently in this RP, rather than your standard TP bar. Artes can cost from 0-5 TP, and everyone starts with 10 TP, unless they have unique traits (which I assign based on your Style). TP is also regenerated by 1. If you want to gain a specific trait, for instance if you want additional TP, having a heavy casting Style would make it likely that you get it.

 

Now then, next is what kind of moves 0-5 TP moves are. Here is a brief scale.

 

0 Cost: Weak, cheap to use, fast and a standard move. While they cost 0, you must have at least 1 TP to use them. Standard Arte.

1 Cost: Cheap, but also decent in power. Standard Arte.

2 Cost: Moderate power. Arcane Arte.

3 Cost: Moderate power, usually with an extra effect. Arcane Arte.

4 Cost: Burst Arte

5 Cost: Mystic Arte

 

Burst and Mystic Artes will be explained in the next section. But above is the general scale of Artes. Please note however the following rules.

1. Cheaper Artes are faster. In the case that both artes in melee range are the same cost, both character’s SKL stats are compared, and the one with the highest wins the exchange.

2. The only exception to the Cheaper Artes rule is a Burst and Mystic Arte, which are just as fast as a 0 Cost Arte, and cannot be interrupted, meaning they will always succeed to go off. They can only be blocked or evaded.

3. More expensive Artes are stronger, and deal more damage. In a ranged exchange, the Arte with the highest cost wins.

4. In the case of a Ranged vs Melee exchange from a long range, the Melee Arte will always fail, however in a Ranged vs melee exchange from close range, the Ranged Arte will always fail.

 

ARTES and ACTIONS

 

Artes are split between two types, Magic and Physical, which are then classed into three sub-categories, Assault, Support and Passive. Very obviously, Assault are intended to inflict bodily harm, Support are intended to help out team mates, or yourself (dashing moves are included in Support), while Passives are a lingering effect, usually buffing certain attacks. There is a maximum of 3 Passives for the average player, while Styles based around Passives may get up to 6-7.

 

So again. Two types of Artes. Magic and Physical.

 

Sub-categories. Assault, Support, and Passive.

Assault: Moves intended to inflict bodily harm one way or another.

Support: Moves intended to help an ally, or yourself, this includes dashes or utilities, but do not deal damage.

Passive: These are lingering and ongoing effects, they activate automatically on queues (for instance using a certain Arte) or continually buff oneself.

 

There are four classes of Artes also, a power ranking.

 

Standard Artes: These cost between 0-1 TP, they are as said, standard, easy to learn, and are core basics to any style.

 

Arcane Artes: These cost between 2-3 TP, they are advanced applications of any given Style, and are usually much more powerful.

 

Burst Artes: These cost 4 TP, these artes are strong, cannot be out-traded except by another Burst Arte which will cause a stalemate, or be completely decimated by a Mystic Arte.

 

Mystic Artes: These cost 5 TP, these artes are a true finishing move and have the highest priority, meaning other than another Mystic Arte, they cannot be out-traded. Like a Burst Arte they can only be evaded or blocked. During a duel, Mystic Artes can only be used when the enemy is in the Critical state. The Critical state is when an enemy is at 35% HP or below. This of course does not apply during boss battles.

 

ACTIONS

 

There are five actions available to any character at any given time, as the basic. Here they are.

• Attack (Without Artes): These are basic attacks and ONLY get their damage directly from Strength, so you won’t be seeing mages attacking people by swinging their staff as a bludgeoning tool anytime soon. Most physical based Styles will allow free regular attacks in-between Artes as part of a combo.

• Block: Choosing to defend, reduces physical damage to 1/10 approximately, in short you’re not going to survive at low health, but you’re going to take much less damage. Magic attacks will deal about half damage instead.

• Evade: Choose to try your luck and do a raw evade. This is going to be based on how you choose to do it, and your Speed, so low speed characters may want to Block or Magic Guard more instead.

• Magic Guard: Same as Block, but damage is turned the other way around. You take half damage from physical attacks, but reduce magical attacks to 1/10.

• Disrupt: This costs 1 TP, but it will eviscerate ANY Magic Guard or Block move, and give the user a free hit or combo if it succeeds. It comes in different forms for everyone as does Attacking. However, it is always a melee attack.

 

HARMONIZE

 

Harmonize is a unique aspect that can be used with one other ally. While Harmonized, both combatants will be able to use combination attacks. These combination attacks are called Harmonize Artes. The amount that duos can have vary with their relationships. The ones that are closer will have more than those without naturally.

 

Although Harmonize Artes are not the only thing it grants. These are a brief list, including Harmonize Artes.

• Harmonize Artes, which combine two artes, one from each participant into a new, devastating combination move. It does not always have to be a damage move, and can in fact be a healing or buffing move too. These are used immediately after a Follow Up that matches the initial move. (eg. Demonic Gale is Demon Fang and Gale, both have to be used as the player’s move and the chosen follow up in any order)

• Follow-Up, normally people are limited to their own moves. During Harmonize you are able to control your ally for one follow-up move to add onto the end of your attacks. Naturally you may only make them use an Arte that they know, and it cannot be a Burst or Mystic Arte except under certain circumstances (see Mystic Harmony Arte/Burst Harmony Arte).

• Mystic and Burst Harmony Artes, which are Mystic and Burst Artes, but done with two people. These are unlocked at the height of a relationship, and are not usable until those requirements are fulfilled.

• Damage Share, while having Harmonize active is a good thing for increasing damage output, breaking the Harmonize link may be the best idea when under duress, as both combatants will share damage taken, and possibly allow enemies to make an easy double KO. Please note though that there is no special action to be taken for Harmonize. Both participants must simply agree and the Harmonize is applied immediately, or broken immediately.

Example I made with Itano earlier. Basically combines two Artes. For instance down here, it's Tiger Blade and Guitar Smash. In order to use it, you have to use one of the components, and your Harmonize Partner chooses to use it's matching component. For instance I post to go in with Tiger Blade, Itano can do a follow-up post where he uses Guitar Smash, and just like that, the move is used. Whoever posted 2nd though, describes the entire action.

 

Notice how the cost is 1 TP, it costs 1 TP for either participant for a total of 2 TP. The level of your Relationship dictates which Artes you may combine, so here are a few rules, after the example.

 

 

Itano [LVL1] A fellow colleague in the Blades of Fealty. He keeps trying to rope Rastia into his band, or so he claims, which doesn't surprise him. Even then they still manage to work properly together.

• Tiger Chord [1TP] Tiger Blade + Guitar Smash. Rastia gets into position and strikes the enemy into the air, then striking twice before Itano comes out with his guitar to smash them down, then the two come down and do a combined final strike.

 

RULES

1. You may only combine Artes based on cost corresponding with Relationship level. For instance you cannot combine two 2TP Artes if your Relationship is only Level 1.
2. While Burst Artes cannot be combined, Mystic Artes can, and that is by reaching a Level 4 relationship. You may only have one of these. Think about what that means in terms of relationships.
3. You cannot cross-combine Artes, meaning you cannot combine a 2TP Arte with a 3TP Arte, and so on.
4. Artes cannot be combined more than once per person. If you combined Demon Fang with Fireball with Person A, you cannot combine Demon Fang with Person A's Energy Blast. This is of course as said, only per person, so you're free to keep combining it, so long as you haven't used it already with one person.
5. You may have as many Harmonize Artes as you have combinations. I'll check them.
6. COMPATABILITY. Support Artes can only be combined with Support Artes, and the same goes for Assault Artes. However in the case of Assault Artes, it doesn't matter whether it's Magic or Physical, they can still be properly combined. Moves like Guardian Circle which are an offense combined with a support are very versatile in these matters.
7. There is one exception to the Support + Support/Assault + Assault only rule, and that is that M.Assault Artes can be combined with Support Artes. Exclusively M.Assault though.

 

STATS

 

The following are the different sats in the RP. Please note that there is no stat for HP, everyone has the same amount of HP, it is the severity of damage taken that is affected instead. Everyone has 35 to spend. All of them must have at least 1 in them.

 

P.ATK: This affects damage with striking artes, and your basic attack.

M.ATK: This affects damage with magic based artes, such as spells, and spellsword moves.

P.DEF: This affects damage taken from striking artes and basic attacks.

M.DEF: This affects damage taken from magic based artes and spellsword moves.

SKL: This affects the trading speed of Artes. See the TP section.

SPD: This affects your movement speed. If you have higher speed, you can easily catch people trying to get away and force an engage. All the same higher speed allows you to get out of range and disengage freely.

RES: Your resistance to attacks in general. This does not reduce damage taken, but it allows you to power through attacks and get your own to succeed.

 

 

 

TIER

 

This is quite simple. The higher your tier the stronger you are. Tier outright multiplies your stats, and nothing more. Tiers only go up to 50 for players, and some bosses may get it to 60. Generally, a lot of the time you will only be given the tier of a boss, rather than their stats and skills. Use the tier given to figure out whether or not you should fight or run.

 

Tiers replace levels in this RP, and are simpler to use. One or two tiers may not be major later down in the RP, because stats are improved multiplicatively, and some of yours may still outstrip others later down the road.

 

Again, all it does is multiply your stats based on the tier. So for instance your Tier is 2, your stats are what they are, multiplied by 2. So if you filled out 6 for your P.ATK, at Tier 2, your P.ATK is 12.

 

To rise in tiers, one must achieve objectives, pull off incredible feats or be a general boon to the team. At most one person can rise 2 tiers per event.

 

 

 

DAMAGE

 

Damage is calculated by your P.ATK/M.ATK and Cost of the Arte plus 1. If it is 0, it is calculated by your P.ATK/M.ATK alone. Cost of the Arte is multipled with P.ATK/M.ATK for the damage, and when applied, the following are calculated.

 

ASSUMING THEY DO NOT BLOCK

 

If damage is higher than P.DEF/M.DEF, you deal full damage (major wounding)

If damage is lower than P.DEF/M.DEF, you deal half damage (minor wounding)

If damage is higher by a large margin, you deal enough damage to defeat them (fatal blow)

If damage is lower by a large margin, you deal damage as if they were blocking (0 damage if they are blocking)

 

When taking an attack that doesn’t break through RES, the damage is halved. For RES to win over, it has to be higher than the damage of the attack.

STORY THUS FAR!

PROLOGUE

 

The Blades start their day with a normal escort mission for Senator Magnus Wiscard, whom is striking the regular annual deal with Sallator Cipher for research and development, as well as attempting to acquire researchers to aid with the Blades R&D. Things seem to go well until the 'Genesis Script' is stolen by unknown thieves, immediately pinning the Blades and Labato for this.

 

The Blades manage to evade capture, the guard teams of Sallator Cipher led by the Warden, who was managed to be fought off. Now the Blades are headed for Patoll to establish a new temporary base, and find the real culprits. The situation outside of what the party knows right now is unknown, but they do know that based on the urgency and over-reaction to the stolen item back at Sallator Cipher, is that it's serious enough to be reported to other nations, making it possible that every other country will also target them.

Name: L. Rastia

Age: 24

Race: Human

 

Cooking Skill: Rastia seems to be rather proficient at frying things, as well as anything involving a blade.

 

Backstory: 

 

Rastia's origins are still shrouded in mystery, and it appears to be his primary goal. He joined the Blades of Fealty under the leadership of Elijah Hawthorne, who asked him to join. There were many incarnations of him it seems, and Elijah once knew one of them, each one inheriting similar skills, but all wind up with the same name. Although a background check revealed that he doesn't exist in this world, so in hopes of finding out his own origins he joined the Blades.

 

He was one of the founding members, when the Blades were just beginning to get on their two feet and establishing themselves as a military force. It was requested to be hand-picked warriors only, headquarters were almost deserted when they first started up. Being responsible for overseeing some of the recruits, he slowly became known and respected. Today he is promoted to be second in command under Elijah Hawthorne. Not to be mistaken for simply a promotion out of familiarity either. Rastia has successfully participated in many tasks, though is rarely seen within headquarters, claiming to be researching into different disappearances and unexplained or nonexistent pasts, hoping to find parallels. His efforts so far have not yielded any modern results.

 

Today he returns to headquarters due to an assignment.

 

 

Relationships: 

 

Itano [Stop Playing Music Afterhours - LVL1] A fellow colleague in the Blades of Fealty. He keeps trying to rope Rastia into his band, or so he claims, which doesn't surprise him. Even then they still manage to work properly together.

Sciutto [Wild Card Recruit - LVL1] A former pirate who joined the ranks under his offer. He was in charge of recruitment at the time, and after regular checks on attitude he felt she was fit to join despite records. She occasionally skimps on work though.

• Dragon Takedown [1TP] Dragon Swarm + Pirate Takedown. Sciutto launches target high into the air, pierces target with the trident three times, and uses the staff to slam them back to the ground. When target hits ground, Rastia descends upon him with multiple hits and slashes.

 

Kaal Ratri [Competent Recruit - LVL1] A mage who was recommended to him by Drexal. After less than a week, she proved to be quite competent, there would be minimal possibility in friction between their team work.

Style Name: Oborosen no Zantsurugi (Decapitating Blade of a Thousand Mists)

Style Description: A style that excels in a relentless assault, and gives the user access to various artes covering all ranges, with an especially deadly arsenal of mid and close range moves, and scarce few long range. The style gathers up Mist Counters, up to five and allow him to use any Arte that costs TP, otherwise without a Mist Counter, he cannot use TP Artes. On the other hand, he can spend multiple Mist Counters to use multiple artes in a single post. Mist Counters are gained through using evasive moves, all of which have 0 TP cost, and he can only use Artes that have 1 or more cost by first landing a Draw Arte (also 0 TP cost) and then immediately following it with the rest of his Artes. Artes that cost TP are called Blade Artes, and ones that do not are either Draw Artes for initiating Blade Artes, and Reaper Step Artes. There is only one exception with Draw Artes, and that is the "Tsujigiri" Arte, which does nothing, costs 1 TP, but because it is a Draw Arte, it allows him to use Blade Artes on that post. The move itself is instant so there is no pause to take into account when he uses it. Finally, he has Executioner Artes, which are much stronger, and do not require to be chained, however they all cost the most (3TP) besides Burst and Mystic Artes.

 

Style Bonuses: 

• Draw and Blade Artes - Each successive Blade Arte used will deal less and less damage, 1st/2nd/3rd, 100%/75%/50%. It stops at 50%.

• Reaper Step Artes - These Artes are all mobility, and produce Mist Counters if successful.

• Executioner Artes - These are all his 3 Cost and higher Artes, and do not require a Draw Arte to use.

Overlimit:

  Thousand Mists: During Overlimit, each Mist Counter is worth twice as much, allowing him to use two artes per Mist Counter, rather than one for one. However this forces him to use Artes in even numbers, with a maximum of 6, meaning he can only use 2, 4 or 6 Artes in a single post not including the initial Draw Arte. TP Costs are also halved if used with Mist Counters during Overlimit.

Tsujigiri[S][1TP]: Does nothing, essentially allows Rastia to use Blade Artes without needing to land a Draw Arte.

Strike [PA][0TP]: A simple horizontal draw slash.

Debilitating Mist [PA][0TP]: A short and incredibly fast dash that strikes the target with the butt of the sword while it is still sheathed.

Gush Stroke [PA][0TP]: Dash sideways of the opponent while drawing the blade and striking with a wave of energy to follow it.

Dragon Charge [PA][0TP]: Dashes through the opponent with a series of slashes.

Reaper Sprint [P][0TP]: Allows the user to dash with immense speed towards the target, but only towards the target. 10% SPD boost when going towards a target.

Phantom Feint [S][0TP]: Dash backwards a short distance while leaving an after-image. If the opponent strikes the after-image, Rastia gains one extra Mist Counter.

Scythe Movement [S][0TP]: A circular dash that lets the user circle around the target and end up behind them. The move is best in an open area as it requires there to be less obstructions.

Triple Shadows [S][0TP]: A unique side-step that creates two after-images in three possible positions. Standing still in the center, the left, or the right. Rastia can be at any one of these after-images.

Guardian Field [MA/S][1TP]: Create a healing circle that heals allies and himself by 10%. It will also deal weak damage to the opponent (25% less than normal)

Moonlight Circle [PA][1TP]: A spinning slash that creates a luminescent circle like a moon.

Gale Maw [PA][1TP]: A dashing stab right through the opponent.

Dragon Swarm [PA][1TP]: A series of slashes and kicks that hits many times.

Split Heavens [PA][1TP]: A simple jumping uppercut slash.

Tiger Blade [PA][1TP]: Slash opponent into the air, strike two times and come down with them as you make a diving slash ending with an additional slash to throw them back a bit.

Falling Star [PA][1TP]: From air only. A simple diving thrust at breakneck speed, showing only a silver glint.

 

Phantasma Flash [PA][2TP]: A double dash slash that drastically changes the user's position. It dashes straight twice.

Ruinous Bloom [PA][2TP]: Stab to make an ethereal pink beam to spout forth and strike. Mid-range and linear.

Shattersteel Swarm [PA][2TP]: Stab ground in front to cause bladed energy blasts to come forth and circle around to the sides of the target.

Thousand Shadows [PA][2TP]: It seems like the blade was drawn only once, only for the target to be struck countless times.

Demon Blade [PA][2TP]: Send a fast-moving wave across the ground much like Demon Fang, except on impact it explodes into a burst of countless slashes.

Rainfall [PA][2TP]: Can be done from air or ground. If done from ground, knock enemy up and unleash a barrage of stabs. If done from air, simply barrage enemy with stabs downward, when done so the user will levitate a bit into the air.

 

Executioner Artes

Abyssal Seal [PA][3TP]: Uppercut opponent into the air and slash them a few times before slashing them back down.

Zantetsuken [PA][3TP]: Iron-cutting blade. A mid-range single slash that covers a large area. Can be in any direction, vertical, horizontal, etc. It makes it ideal for clearing out large numbers of enemies.

Reaper's Embrace [PA][3TP]: Dark energies appear in a large sphere around Rastia, briefly pulling everything close before bursting with dark slashes all around.

Unseen Executioner [PA][3TP]: Disappear and immediately appear above the target and come down with a fatal slash. Unlimited range, meaning he can immediately invalidate distances with this.

 

Burst Artes

Aurora Lotus [4TP]: Dashing forward, if he catches his opponent they'll be slashed four times by four copies of himself making a cross, before they fall down from above also in a perfect cross, slashing two times each, and then dashing through again before a single heavy dashing slash goes through the centre.

Dark Slayer Mist [4TP]: Dashing forward, Rastia will immediately dissolve into mist, and then appear at his former position, sheathing his blade. Once unsheathed, a large area becomes covered in pillars of energy in random directions at the area he dashed to, before they disappear, slashing anything it makes contact with.

Vindictive Executioner [4TP]: A counter-guard move. If struck while in use, user will dissolve into mist and appear behind the attacker with blade unsheathed, as if frozen they cannot move until Rastia sheathes his blade, wherein they will take massive damage as they realize they've been slashed fatally.

Backstory: Drexal was born an everyday city boy who lived bright eyed and dreamed. He always wanted to be a hero of some sort like the comic book characters he grew up reading about. Drexal was a guy who enjoyed many things like sports, video games, puzzles, and music. But, his passion was the martial arts and he was learning Kung Fu as a child. as he grew older and began going to middle school, he paid less attention to his schooling and more to what he called "Fun". His parents were worried that their child would not make it in life because of how much he dreamed.

One night, he got into an argument with his parents on how he should live his life. Everything got heated but then Drexal heard his father yell something that crushed him,

"You are an embarrassment to this family. I wish you were never born!"

A very childish thing to say but, those words ripped through Drexal's chest like you would not believe. That night, at age 12, was the last time he heard his parents voice. He ran away.

For a year, Drexal wandered around stealing for sustenance and unknowingly training himself for his future. Sneaking around and trying to take an apple from the stand and running away without being noticed. Sure, he stopped a man from making profit but, screw it, brotha gotta eat! It wasn't until he tries to steal from a certain old man that Drexal's life changed forever.

This older gentleman was selling some fine Japanese cuisine. Drexal missed the taste of fried rice and sauce. Drexal hid himself for a while, stalking the smell of the food. He waited and waited for the most opportune moment where the old man was vulnerable an the food was free. Waiting and waiting for this man was so tiring. He had been waiting for over a day and Drexal could feel himself drifting off into sleep. Given the situation, the young man fell asleep.

The next day Drexal woke up with a bowl of Ramen in front of him, wrapped in a blanket, and in a warm house. He was startled at first. He did not expect to be in a house at all. Was he kidnapped? Was he the victim of a pedobear? Is he a hostage? All sorts of questions rushed through his mind as he tried to figure out where to go from here. That is when a voice spoke up to him. "You are finally awake child. That is good. Now it is time to grab your destiny." Confusing words to say the least but, as Drexal scanned the house farther, he noticed the art around the house along with antique weapons and pots. This poor old man was more than meets the eye. Questioning the man, Drexal inquired on what the old meant by those words. He was just told by his father that he would amount to nothing. Yet, this stranger spoke of "DESTINY".

Essentially, the old man spoke about Drexal was the first child to ever show such natural concealment ability. Any normal person would have never seen him coming. Master Fang then offered a proposition. Go with him to the monastery and train in the way of the shinobi or live a hard life alone. Drexal was a little apprehensive. With the whole kidnapping and the pedophillia thing looming in his head but, something gave him the feeling that he could trust master Fang. With that Drexal left and began his life as a shinobi.

When it came to growth, Drexal made leaps and bounds. There was not a single concept he could not grasp. It was as though he was born to do it. Master Fang and the other Grandmasters seemed to be proud as they thought they would not see another person who could express the way of a ninja in their very lives. At the same time, Drexal grew to become more comfortable and as comfort grew, so did his normal self. As to the chagrin of the masters, Drexal was a prankster. He ha fun messing with others. His pranks never got out of hand but he did pick on the wrong people every once in a while. And his reasoning for it, "those old guys need to loosen up a bit!!" Yet, all of his punishments helped to unlock more potential in his being.

Despite the antics, Drexal was a very trusting shinobi. Every mission he executed without though though, most if his missions were data collecting, theft and/or retrieval tasks. He kicked many-uh-ass while he did it but, one thing kept him from becoming the perfect shinobi, his large heart. Drexal could not get rid of his empathy for others. He suffered in his life but he never projected those feelings as hate. Still to this day, he wanted to go back home to show his father that he is a man to be proud of. However, the monastery needed people who could make cold decisions in difficult situations. Jobs are black and white and they needed a person who could keep they grey area from clouding tie minds when the job called for a black choice. The elders had kept Drexal from those missions for the most part but, one man was not a fan of Drexal and wanted to rain on his parade. He plotted to get Drexal ejected from the monastery.

The day was a day where Drexal was to gain the title "Lightning Dragon", one of the 5 Dragon titles given to the strongest Ninja in the monastery. Each one commanded an element and Drexal had succeeded in gaining a title that no one had be able to earn in a long time. Add on top of that, he was the youngest dragon ever, at the age of 21 even. As a dragon, he got the missions that were the hardest to complete. This is where he fell.

This was a time where he was to go and kill a man who was the leader of a large organization. He received this man's picture and headed to the location. However, what he found was a flipped situation. The man he was sent to kill was tied up with 2-3 other guys and having horrible things done to them by.......police who were able to capture the guy. I mean so horrible it would make you think he was in jail and dropped the soap. Drexal was infuriated. There had never been a time where he was so confused. He hesitated he second guessed himself. His heart grew and somehow, the crimelord's crimes were non-existent. Drexal violated the terms of the mission and killed the policemen, letting the crimelord live but put him in jail instead. He reported mission complete to the letter though.

Now, mind you, Drexal was not wrong in what he did since, he wanted to do what was morally right. However, it was not the best option. 3 months later, that very same crimelord lead a revolt within the jail and a mass breakout occurred. Thousands of people died because of it. The men were out for blood. Drexal was exposed but, he raced out to right his wrong. He headed down and finished what he should have at the beginning.

Upon killing the crimelord and capturing the remaining criminals, he was surrounded by the grandmasters who appeared out of nowhere. There they stripped him of his titles saying Drexal was too "weak" to be deemed Dragon. Also, because he violated a mission's specs and lied about it, he was booted from the Order. He was alone again.

He wandered home, a failure he could not face his family but, he happened upon a group. Blades of Fealty was its name and its name was famous across the country. Drexal immediately joined and became a staple in their workings. He takes care of special ops missions primarily but there are times where he does other things too like sing and stuff. Still though, there is always the memory of the job he screwed up and the results there of.

Drexal met her at the local bakery that was closed down after an incident that he caused.  She was very nice a pretty but Drexal had a hard time being open about his feelings.  She made him shy and even though he was not a smooth talker, he was never shy when it came to people. But alas he frequented her shop and became friends because of it.

 

The shop incident was tragic but, it was not really his fault though. Drexal was on a mission at night chasing someone.  Sadly, the "Covert" aspect of the mission was completely blown and Drexal was on a chase through the town after hours.  Much destruction was there and the guy had no qualms about which shop was destoryed.  Then Kaal walked out of her shop after cleaning and closing it perfectly.  Needless to say, the guy destoryed the shop to use as a diversion.  Then, he fact eternal pain in the form of an angry baker.  After witnessing her power, he offered her residence in BoF and guaranteed she could keep baking as a primary.  From that point on, they had a close bond at least that is what Drexal thinks, though he still has not told her how he truly feels.........but she probably knows though, he sucks at hiding that part about him.

 

Itano (Band Mate) [Lvl 1]:

Drexal and Itano are like the perfect blend of fun and more fun.  The two of them get into all kinds of messes together from pranking fellow BoF members or destroying half a town due to overdrive mode on support artes. L knew that putting the two of them on any covert operation...........no putting Itano on any covert operation was like telling someone to yell in a library...you just don't do it.......so the Bass Brothers they were with Drexal on the drums and his dexterous fingers and hands allow him to play masterfully.........

 

Remy (Sister Figure/Most trusted Friend) [Lvl 1]:

Remy and Drexal met at BoF when she joined and it was major chemistry instantly.  This relationship is not about attraction or about money or fun, it is about a comfort zone that Drexal feels when he is with her.  He feels like he has someone who believes in him and cares for him like family.  Someone he could die for and all that.  And yes, he and her fight like siblings too so it makes for familiar times.  I mean, Remy reminds him of his older sister in how she carries herself.

 

The Captain Scuitto (All around Awesomeness) [Lvl 1]:

Epic adventures follow Scuitto and Drexal never fails to hold up his end of the bargains.  The two of them act as if they are Robin Hoods, when they steal from the rich guys and give to the needy children.  Sure, they did a few....questionable missions....but happy children are worth the effort and I mean, who is going to tell the Captain No?

 

Vafhurdr (The Smart Guy) [LV1]:

Being part of the intelligence department, Vaf often calls upon Drexal to help him out.  In exchange, they hang out afterwards talking about all sorts of things.  Drexal is pretty sure he shocks Vaf with his intelligence though Drexal is far from a genius.

 

L. Rastia (Fearless Leader) [Lvl1]:

L recruited Drexal because his skills were far and beyond anyone else's in the same field when it came to espionage and assassinations and anything like that.  Drexal made it clear that he will always do the right thing and L assured him that the right thing is all they care about.  Though it is uncertain, it is very clear that L is annoyed by Drexal's pranks but respects him due to his skills and seriousness when working.

 

 

Dan Halen (The Former Rival) [Lvl1]:

Before coming to BoF, you all know Drexal was part of an Order of Assassins, well, this order was not the only group that did covert/assassination jobs.  On more than one occasion, Drexal and Dan had crossed paths either as adversaries or unlikely allies to meet an end.  They have fought and they have helped (accidentally most of the time) but one thing remained constant, they respected each other as assassins. So it was a very awkward atmosphere when Drexal and Dan crossed paths in the Blades of Fealty HQ.  Needless too say the personality of Drexal took Dan by surprise as it is a complete 180 from how they met.  After a few months of talking and one mission together (Dan works alone.......he's so cool), Drexal believes Dan understands the reasoning behind the transformations.

Style Name: The Lightning
Style Description: Drexal is a style that infuses lighting magic with ninja/shinobi artes. (I like spelling it like that.) Roughly, it is ninja arts such as clones, substitution, movement skills, ninja tool techniques, etc with lighting added to it. His favorite is to use his trust ninjato, ninja sword, to inflict harm but hand to hand skills are not out of the question either. Drexal also uses the properties of electricity to its fullest, using it in different ways such as playing with the minds of others creating illusions. More like hallucinations and nothing like Tsukyomi where he can paint entire worlds in your mind and inflict pain etc. Likewise he can increase brain activity as well, increasing perception and reactions of himself and others. Since electromagnetic energy is very present within the human body, Drexal takes advantage of that extensively. But do not think he won’t cast that giant lighting dragon down on you from a storm cloud either.

Style Bonuses:

• Assassin Artes - Gives Drexal access to the skills of an assassin.

• Lightning Artes - A style of combat that uses lightning in both blade and empty hand.

• Drexal's body is super charged as his clothes become dark blue, body becomes a light blue, and his eyes and hair become white. Drexal gains +2 to base Speed, and he gains a Lightning Partner, who can only use basic attacks. It doesn't count as the Lightning Clone, but it trails behind him and adds pressure or damage with additional attacks following up on Drexal's own attack. There is a burst of lighting upon contact with each hit.

Vigor [Support] [3TP]: Drexal can use electricity to increase mental processes in the mind, causing signals to the brain to trigger at a faster rate. This effects are faster reaction times for everyone, making evasion easier and artes to fire off at a faster rate. Gives a 50% boost to skill and Speed for 2 posts for him or everyone effected.

The boy:

The boy, Naiiryn Alphonse Wesselson, was a normal boy at one point, he had parents that loved him and cared for him. He wasn't particularly well-mannered, but neither was he very sloppy. He was a normal, healthy boy. He had friends, He even ahd a girl at one point, but that was nothing but the love of a child. This pretty boring life went on all up to age 12. His parents supported him through everything, but at age 12, they sent him to a private school.

 

The school, situated in gendis, was one for those with magic qualities. Naiiryn had quite some. He was a good martial artist using physical Force to rule the sparring ring. Moreover, when he actually tried to use his mind, he showed a clarity and affinity with the supporting side of magic. He was no longer the normal boy Naiiryn, He was now a full-fledged magic student. Even better, he was one of the few magic students that got permission to study the unstable and dangerous art of Spirit magic. This permission was given to him, without his teachers realizing his rash ways of thinking, for his ways were hidden from even himself.

 

This is where we have to tell the story of the old Spirit, he who is without a name and origin.

 

The Spirit:

The Spirit is far older than Naiiryn, but it would not remember that, even if you asked him. A spirit doesn't have a good way to store memory, and time is but a passing flow. The Spirit was little more than lingering memory of the living past, and a huge pack of arcane energy. In life, he might have been a great sorcerer, or maybe a researcher. In fact, all he seemed to remember were Chaotic spells. That, and a lingering sense of hate to all the world. Wherever he went, he would make magic go awry, throwing sorceres into chaos.

 

Until that day that he met the boy, Naiiryn Alphonse

 

 

That day, Naiiryn was out in the sparring ring again, but just as the fight started, the faintest whiff of spiritual presence caught his sixth sense. The whiff was enough to prepare him for the incoming magic. It was not that it hit him, but rather that the air around him seemed to split apart. He had heard of this, everyone had. The Spirit without name had come, this time to their beautiful city, Gendis.

 

Seeing how both teachers and students alike got into a panic attack, he pulled himself together. While the teachers tried to calm the students down, he was already thinking top-speed. He reached a descision. he had been working on a thesis on Spirit magic, it was a suspicion only, but it  seemed the best way to do it.

 

"Law of Life, Source of being," he called, "That which makes us all the same, and all individual".

"Na arhi go zargg, Na arnh akh zo'ohi" (Unto spirit bind flesh, Unto being bind knowledge)

 

It wasn't an offensive spell, it was meant to absorb the knowledge of the Spirit, and render it nonexistant. But something, either in the magic itself, or in the chaos of the Spirit changed it, warped it. And Naiiryn was bound to the spirit. his thesis had proven true, knowledge was indeed in the Spirit, or maybe he was wrong, and the Spirit was in the knowledge. Either way, the result was the same. A link was made, a contract was formed.

 

Then, Naiiryn was an outcast. His parents didn't know what to do with his random outbursts in which he would curse the whole world. His teachers didn't want to teach him any more, in fear of his newly begotten power. Because neither of the involved parties wanted him, they decided to try and reverse the binding. A logical choice, but you don't tell a 16-year old that. Before they could get him, he got himself on a smuggler's ship and out of their reach. He travelled to the lawless lands of Patoll, in order to study wild magics and to learn more about his new self.

And so, Naiiryn was free from anyone, and definitely lost for the civil world. At age of 16, this boy became a wanderer known as Naiiryn Shadac (Naiiryn Shade-Tamer) in the deep wilds of Patoll.

 

After years in the wilderness, Naiiryn got back, following rumors, tracking shadows.... To end up joining the blades of fealty.

While in patoll, he met someone who is now a good friend to him. He himself was in need of someone who could tell him about the world, what was going on out there. He needed someone who would pass him odd jobs, if he needed some distraction. Captain Sciutto solved his trouble, by visitting every now and then to make him cure herself and her crew. A crude friendship formed, and meeting her at the Blades... It was one of the best things ever.

One other person besides Sciutto once managed to find him, and they set up a... small trading contract on... Special ingredients. This might be the reason that Itano can get someone some substances that no-one else can create. Especially famous is the Blue Magic Mushroom, which is used to make people cast grand magics. The rumors of this being due to hallucinations only are, of course, completely bogus.

Style Description: Wandering around Patoll for a long time, and being able to freely switch between Human and Spirit form, Naiiryn learned to move through the world in both ways. This reflects in the styles he uses. Although he can use all of them in any form, some are more effective in Spirit, and other in Human form.
Spirit – The origin of life, the strength of the soul. Spirit magic focuses on directly affecting souls and life. It can both be used for healing and cursing. This magic is what the boy studied, and how he merged with the Spirit. (Magic Support)
Chaos – This is what Naiiryn mainly uses in spirit form. Chaos magic calls on the power of the void, it is the ultimate power of death and destruction. This is because, rather than darkness, it is not evil. It simply is the power of “what is not supposed to be”. By means of this Chaos, the Spirit entered into the physical world initially. Force – This is what Naiiryn mainly uses in human form. Air-pressure technique invoked by martial arts, it is capable of performing raw shockwave-style attacks. (Physical Skills)

Backstory:

Itano was given life a long time ago in a distant land, that land is now probably long gone along with any truths to Itano’s true heritage. But Itano’s memories still exist to tell about parts to his past, but before we begin i must warn you that Itano is not very sane so his memories tend to jumble around a bit.

 

The first memories he has is of his father who left him at a young age, he said he was being forced to go on some expedition because he lost a bet (damn him and his devilish gambling), so he left Itano in the care of an elf woman as he had no mother, nor would his father ever mention anything about his mother but it did not matter as his father promised to return soon. Itano waited for days which turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and Itano realised his father was never returning, so the elf he was left under care with ended up adopting him (he ended up treating her as a big sister as she wasn’t even really that old) and he spent some time with other elves so he picked up the language and some of the ways they fight which included magic and other things, even some swordsmanship. But Itano found it dull and boring, he needed something with a little more umph and something that was more defining than swinging a sword around or carrying a staff, so he did what any person would do. GO OFF ON AN EPIC ADVENTURE… Probably wasn’t a smart idea to leave with only a sword but hey don’t judge, he ran off in the middle of the night as his sister wouldn’t ever let him go off.

 

So the first week went well, small foes, friendly travelers and easy living, but that only lasted a week as Itano got into a fight with a monster way too strong for him…. it didn’t help that Itano hadn’t really had any defining attacks or anything even close to do any damage, so he was knocked around a bit and ended up being in a life and death situation until some knight and bard guy saved him. when he awoke Itano felt like hitting something….a lot, but somehow resisted as music soothed his soul…. then MUSIC ROCKED HIS SOUL, as the bard guy who was playing the music whipped out a magical guitar and started pulling off some wicked tunes that rocked the in…. literally, he ended up being thrown out of the in because of the way it shook.

 

Itano decided to travel with the bard and knight as the bards way with his strange guitar intrigued him, so as they traveled the bard taught him how to play it and how to use it in supportive combat…. then Itano had a revolutionary idea, what happens if he mixed the magic he learnt with the music he learnt… and even mix in a bit of swordplay. Itano practiced and practiced and eventually he gave birth to a new style, ELVISH METAL. With time and epic music battles (what how else do you think bards battle) Itano decided to set off alone to the horizons over the oceans to the lands of On'Eman'Ga.

 

This is where things get real messy for Itano’s memories, he would appear in one place before pretty much falling off the face of the earth and then appearing in another place. But wherever Itano went there was 2 things that followed him, LOUD MUSIC AND DESTRUCTION. As Itano ventured he met other kindred rock spirits who all had their own unique variations of it.

 

After many years of randomly appearing in and out of places he had met a foe he could not defeat no matter what, his sister. After a harsh punishment Itano was tied up and thrown onto a ship back home with his sister…. And of course they got home and lived happily ever after...NOT.

The ship went straight into a horrible storm that completely engulfed the ship.

 

Itano awoke, he awoke on the shores of a land he did not recognise, and he saw no traces of his sister. He picked himself up and laughed in a devilish manner after escaping the clutches of a true monster, he would later set off on his journey to learn that he was in an entirely new world… not that it mattered much to him as as long as he could continue his journey to become A ROCK GOD. Even later on he actually learnt a bit of the world and somehow joined the Blades of Fealty, he’s also starting up his own band with the preset ‘to boost morale with music’ but we all know thats just an excuse to jam.

Itano now 'watches' fay whenever he can. Even if doing so runs the risk of loosing his life

Style Description:

“ i strike a few chords, and sing a little tune and bada bim bada boom you have a shocking performance”

Elvish metal is essentially musical magic, by singing a certain line or striking a certain chord a certain effect will activate, whether it be a fireball or a moral boost. though Itano does not rely solely on magic, as he is a crazed maniac if he doesn’t feel like using the magic he will just switch to the simple effective attacking with his guitar.

It awakes the dead from the earth and calls them out to rush at the enemy. It could have occurred now but a rock god would not just make the undead attack you… HE WOULD ALSO MAKE THEM EXPLODE… and thats what happens, they explode at random timing.

Itano is ready to take his power to the next level, and he starts with a lighting fast jam out on the guitar... before throwing it in the air. Itano then proceeds to take a stance to punch and does an epic charge up and then punches the enemy, the enemy gets spun around backwards... but does zero damage.... then a huge force of lightning comes down on the enemy.

... What are you looking at? Stop staring at my eyes.. I said stop! You want to know how I get such a weird coloration, you say? Fine.. Let me tell you the tale of my origin then, nameless stranger.

 

It all starts when an angel named.. Angel, however awkward it may sound, fell in love with a deity of other belief named Suiren. From their union, my grandfather was born. His name was Takayuki, though some of you might be more familiar with the nickname 'King of Hell', one of the three ruler of Old Batotia. He was a very.. Typical conqueror, I guess? He built a harem that consist of all sort of females, humans and non-humans alike.

 

Amongst these females, was a tentacle monster that was mixed in. Takayuki was very drunk one night and he accidentally involved himself with an unrestrained act of debauchery with said tentacle monster. The result of such union was a sentient tentacle being that goes by the name 'Primo'. And that, dear listener, is my mother. Hey! Lay those weapons down and let me finish my story. I am no tentacle monster in disguise, I assure you.

 

As I have said, my mother was sentient. She was sentient enough to understand human emotions and moral values, such as love. Which brought her a lot of pain. You see, having an offspring is the very basic instinct of every tentacle monster. Usually, they could just abduct a prey from other races and impregnate them forcefully, as described in many textbooks. In my mother's case, however, she could not follow her instincts blindly because of her sentience. Yes, she refused to engage in an act of rape against any other living being. Then again, nobody in their right mind would marry a tentacle being out of love. Which, as you have guessed, negated my mother of the chance of having an offspring.

 

This saddens her greatly. She spent countless nights wailing, cursing her fate. She traveled far and wide, looking for a suitable mate. She hides in the shadow, watching the people of Batotia with longing eyes. People who knew of her existence and daily activity started calling her as 'The Lurker', and spreads false rumors about her, saying that she is trying to kidnap children to be raised as her own.

 

In the end, she could not find her soulmate. The poor tentacle being stayed single, even today. But her strong feeling, fervent prayer, and tenacity.. Did not go unrewarded. Eventually Suiren, my great grandmother, the goddess of life and fertility, descended upon my mother and granted her wish. She granted her the one gift she wanted the most: a child, me.

 

Yes, I am a Fayth, a being that was born out of one's strong desire and feeling. A phantasmal being that even the demons thought only exist in myths and folklore. Surprised?

 

Now that your curiosity is quenched.. Tell me, have you ever seen my mother? She went missing six years ago when I was still only one years old. My grandfather has brought me here to look for her, but it appears that he, too, went missing on me. He did that a lot. He could not control when or where humans would summon him, after all..

Oh, she is also the person who recommended me to join the Blades. She often stares at me with a pitying gaze. I guess that's what friends do? I don't really get this friendship thingy.. (Friend - Level 1)

• Catch and Release! [1 TP] Zeeth + Gull Talon. Fay launches five magical chains that would ensnare the enemy, and uses them to pull the enemy towards the captain, who is waiting with her trusty trident on her hands, ready to impale and forks the poor target over like a bale of hay. The enemy will be airborne when the combo ended.

 

Remy Antoinette Charlevoix: A mysterios woman who was also aboard Captain's vessel. She exudes a very.. Familiar aura, so to say. Could she be a fellow Fayth? She smells kinda different though.. A distant relative, perhaps? (Friend - Level 1)

• Frozen Light [1 TP] Frost Bolt + Fhauri. Remy launches a destructive bolt of ice towards the opponent. At the same time, Fay transforms himself into arrows of light and charges towards said bolt of ice. Using it as refracting surface, Fay's attack would bounce around before hitting the enemy in impossible angles, right after the original bolt of ice pierced the disoriented enemy. This combo will position Fay behind the opponent, effectively putting him in a pincer attack between Remy and himself.

 

Itano: A strange guy who seemed to be everywhere. In the market? He's there near that fish stall. In the port? He's there, hiding behind the transit office's wall. Even within Blade's HQ, he's always there behind one of the pillars. Weird.. (Stalker - Level 1)

• Don't Stop Me Now! [1 TP] War Nerve + Ammue. Itano starts off the combo by playing a tune that strengthens Fay's offensive capability. Then, the supercharged Fayth would unleash his magical energy in the form of a circular wave (that looked uncannily like a certain dance move). This will totally sweep the crowds off their feet. Literally.

 

L. Rastia: A commanding officer in Blades. He is a very serious and straightforward guy with a rather peculiar name. I mispronounced his name as Ero-kun once, instead of the proper Eru-kun. He slapped me real hard! (Superior - Level 1)

• Vanishing Mirage [1 TP] Void Slash + Faura. L slashes the enemy once, which then causes the area in front of him to be covered in spectral slashes for a few moments. Then, from beyond the mirage, Fay would launch a magical pull followed by a powerful upward slash.

 

Ein Flora Ida Luria: A wood folk I met on Blade's new member inauguration ceremony. (S)he smells like the forest, and exudes a very calming aura. I love hanging around him/her very much. (Friend - Level 1)

• Entangling Light [1 TP] Proton + Zeeth. Ein locks on the enemy with three spheres of light. Using them as a beacon, Fay launches five magical chains that damage and pull the enemy towards the duo. "Oh no you didn't!"

 

Kaal Ratri: A beautiful auntie that seemed to have a broad knowledge about demons and the mystics. She seemed to know Grandpa Taka personally, seeing how her eyes light up when I told her that I am his grandchild. She often treats me to food in cafeteria. I love her! (Benefactor - Level 1)

• Tempest [1 TP] Tidal Wave + Ammue. Kaal summons a gushing wave which Fay rides. Upon impact with the enemies, Fay would unleash his own magical energy in the form of circular waves, creating even more chaos and destruction.

Lucifer Skytte Phadera: A quarter chibi that looks exactly like a chibi from every angle. I think of her as a senior in life, seeing that she has traveled so far and wide despite being just a few winter cycles older than me. She has a lot of fascinating tales from her journey too. Style Name: Implanta, the Divine Tree

Style Description: Implanta is the name of the Divine Tree in Fayths' belief. It is said that the tree grows from people's strong feelings, and Fayths were born when the tree's flowers bloom. The tree itself is believed to have unshakable roots, and would protect those under its shade no matter what. Fay's fighting style mirrors the tree's nature. He utilizes his overwhelming magical energy as a Fayth to overcome any attack that was thrown at him. The image of the divine tree also manifested itself in Fay's artes, as some of them takes form as entangling roots or vines.

 

Equipment:

• Rhaplanca: A dagger that is said to be crafted from Implanta's branch. It emits soft iridescent light whenever it is held by a Fayth. In other races' hand, however, it will appear as a normal iron dagger. It turns simple slashes and stabs into magical attacks (if wielded by a Fayth, of course).
• Traveler's Cloak: A long, khaki-colored cloak that covers Fay's body almost entirely when it is worn, making it hard to spot him in the crowds. Also protects his small frame from weathers and elements.
• Dust Goggles: A pair of goggles that protects Fay's eyes from wind, dust, and the likes. They are slightly tinted, so they also help to hide Fay's weird eye coloration.
• Ribbon: A red ribbon that a certain weird guy gave to Fay. He mentioned something about it "will look cute on you". Oh well, might as well hold on to it. It is bad manner to throw gifts away.

• Naja [MA][0 TP]: An attack that specifically targets opponents that are trying to attack Fay from the back. Using his long cloak as a shroud, Fay launches a stab towards the unsuspecting opponent.
• Famfa [MA][0 TP]: A jumping upward stab. Needless to say, this attack is best launched from under the enemy.. Which is Fay's natural position, because he is so damn short.
• Faura [MA][1 TP]: A combo consisting of a magical pull, followed by a diagonal upward slash. Has a slightly longer reach, but is still a melee move.
• Fhauri [MA][1 TP]: A magic that transforms a Fayth into arrows of light that pierces through the enemy. Aside from damaging, this skill also grants bonus speed when moving towards to the enemy. At close range, this skill will result in Fay getting behind the opponent.
• Ammue [MA][1 TP]: A violent discharge of magical energy meant to be used as crowd control. The waves of magic could easily sweep less durable enemies around the caster off their feet.
• Zeeth [MA][1 TP]: A magical attack that takes form as five chains of pure magic energy that flies at the enemy at incredible speed. Deals minor damage, but it can be used to pull an opponent towards the caster. Single point, unlimited range as long as a clear line of sight is acquired.
• Frreie [MA][2 TP]: A magical pull followed by a point-blank discharge of pure magical energy. Simple yet not as weak as it sounds to be. Has high stun rating.
• Kyll [MA][2 TP]: A counter-guard against attacks from the sides or the back. Fay's ever-present defensive shroud of magical energy explodes upon contact with the opponent's melee attack. Has high stun rating.
• Ousye [MA][2 TP]: A magic that transforms a Fayth into brilliant spears of light that charges violently at the opponent, very much like rays of sunlight that pierces through the canopy of Implanta. An offensive repositioning skill that gives Fay a speed boost, to put it simply.
• Ruinien [MA][3 TP]: A strong combo that starts with a magical pull, followed by a full-powered stab, and ends with a violent discharge of magical energy. Has high stun rating.

• Varda, Birth of the Divine Tree [4TP]: One of the fragment of memories contained within Rhaplanca, the blade of fayths. The arte revives the divine tree's memory of the time it first rose from the ground and tasted sunlight for the very first time. Multiple sprouts will grow from under the enemy, coiling and crushing him as they grow bigger and bigger. Once the tree has grown fully, it will explode into raw magical energy, dealing even more damage to enemies in a wide radius. Unlimited range, as long as clear line of sight to the target point is acquired.
• Salavec, Demon That Rules in Silence [4 TP]: One of the fragment of memories contained within Rhaplanca, the blade of fayths. The arte revives the divine tree's memory of the sacrifice of Lelentas, the legendary fayth who sacrificed her life to support the holy tree. The arte could only be activated as a counter-guard to melee attacks. As the enemy's attack lands on Fay, tendrils of magical energy would seep out from the wound, binding the attacker in place. Then, Rhaplanca would grow into a full-sized sword and with it, Fay would unleash a deadly decapitating slash without giving a chance for the opponent to evade or block.. All while the opponent's weapon(s) are still embedded on his body.
• Infelious, Eternal Earth and Heaven [4 TP]: One of the fragment of memories contained within Rhaplanca, the blade of fayths. The arte revives the divine tree's memory of the prayers of people that nurtures her as a sapling. The arte could only be activated as a counter-guard against ranged attacks. With the help of Implanta's blessing, Rhaplanca would absorb a ranged attack's power, and transforms it to a powerful ray of light that could be shot back towards the enemy with amazing speed.

Cooking Skill: Baking. She is known to bring out the true essence and flavour of the ingredients she puts in all her bakes but she is rather poor at grills and other forms.

 

Backstory: Technically, the one known as Kaal-ratri is not a demon. She was a diety of a cult before it got stomped and annihilated by the self-righteous forces of the monotheistic religion that was establishing itself on newer horizons. She is not off this land too. She arrived in the realm just shortly after the five hundred year war from the alternate realm of Man'gaf'ox. As a divine entity worshiped for destruction it was safe to assume that she was no pushover but being a tender girl at heart she didn't enjoy it. While others of her big family enjoyed ruling by fear and favor, she usually receded in the darkest corners of her realm granting audience only to the most steadfast and persistent of the cultists.

 

But, as the faction of the newer religion won she was amongst the first to be demonized since there was no taming the human curiosity and creativity. The cultists had displayed her as the most ruthless and blood-letting of the deities so it stood to reason that she became a demon according to the new religion. Her days of peace were further disturbed when she accidentally manifested herself in the realm of Batotia rather than her usual realm. Since the pathway was new and the land was rebuilding itself from a recent turmoil, she decided it was best to start anew and settle among the countless curious races. For she had observed the presence of other kindred spirits. Beings of the realm of Chaos like herself and the one of Order like her brother. The angels and Demons of the all conquering new faith also took interest in the land of Batotia and made for an interesting cauldron of interaction.

 

She roamed the land, travelling to different areas and regions. Whenever she had the urge to change places, she would use her potent magic skills to create a flesh puppet that 'died' in conventional terms after a long well-lived life which gave her a decent alibi to vanish out of people's memory. Through her travels she picked up the art of baking and continuously honed her cooking skills to become perfect in it. She could balance the flavours of a plethora of ingredients she liked to put in her baked items. She ran some successful stand-alone bakeries in the Intordia since the high inflow of traders from various regions provided her with a large clientele to work with regardless of the city she ventured in. But, she voluntarily kept herself away from doing business or making her presence known in any Capital cities since the chance of meeting someone who'll recognize her was more, which meant disruption of the peace she had worked so hard for.

 

She had observed the various races of Sylphs from afar not sure whether they felt her presence or not. But she was always close by and wanted someone to share her long journey with.  

 

Relationships: 

 

Drexal Maxie - Good Friend [Level -1]: Of the two times that her shop has been harmed, Drexal was a party in the second. For all its claimed neutrality Inordia still had a few skirmishes with many visits from pirates and equally likely encounters between assassins and targets. On a similar mission, the target in question had the presence of mind to destroy a major chunk of Kaal's bakery. She was lucky that it was during the wee hours and there were no customers in the premises lest there would have been a few deaths due to flying shrapnel. After cleaning up and rightly closing down the shop, Kaal came out and noticed that two peeps were still very much engaged in a battle, with the one responsible for the wreck, mindlessly letting energy blasts here and there. Set right after a lightening bolt pierced his chest and brought about his end, the power of his opponent resonating with Kaal's for an instance as he moved in to slice him up in pieces.

For all his smooth fighting moves, the boy was hardly a smooth talker. Rather he was a bit shy which endeared him in her eyes. She offered him some bagels and pie for supper and he offered her a chance to join Blades of Fealty. She had heard a lot about it, the guild or organisation was going places recently. Plus, Labato was the only place left on this realm that was still unexplored by her. So thinking of new customers and possibly a few people like her she agreed to come along with him.

Although, she isn't certain but it seems that the little boy has a crush on her. While flattering, she hopes that he finds someone his age as her base form is something that would be repulsive to him.

 

L.Rastia  - Taskmaster - [Level 1]: This man is all-business and by the looks of it fairly powerful. Drexal introduced her to him when he had asked her to join this guild. She was impressed with the way he carried himself and his succinctness. he is also the mans who assigns her various missions and two share a simple bond. Regardless, kaal think that she can tie-up well with him in combat should the need arise.  

 

Remy Antoinette Charlevoix - Fellow Kindred - [Level 1]: One of the few people with whom Kaal hit it off instantly when she joined Blades of Fealty. Remy for the lack of a better word is a supreme sorceress, her talent in melding Ice and warping time is certainly among the best Kaal has seen, which is saying that it is rather superb. Through her travels Kaal did manage to get a few hints of the exploits of this elusive Sylph, well at least that's one spirit Remy reminds her off. She wanted to track and make contact earlier but circumstances played the usual spoilsport. From the vibe that comes off her Kaal knows that Remy may be as old as her thus there is another level bonding waiting to be struck, up till now she hasn't bothered Remy with many question from her past and apart from knowing that she is from another realm like herself was more than assuring info she needed to respect her as a fellow kindred.

On a lighter note though, her skill with desserts is what draws Kaal to her, as baker she is always on the lookout to add to her repertoire and desserts seem to be a plausible choice. Apart from the usual cakes and pastries, she usually lets Remy take charge of the dessert counter when she unwinds with cooking. If by chance you don't find Kaal in her room she is usually out dancing or with Remy.

 

 

Sciutto Rittmeister - Business Partners turned comrades [Level 1] The heiress to the most infamous of titles, 'Terror of the Seas' Sciutto is Amalia Rittmeister's only progeny. The first one responsible for wrecking Kaal's wonderful bakery, when on a pillage trip she had the idea of getting her hands on everything that met her eye. Maybe Kaal's nonchalance at her privateer ways gave her off or maybe the young pirate princess could sense her infernal powers. She quickly put forth a deal to which Kaal readily agreed. In exchange of leaving her business alone and giving her some of the rather exotic supplies that only pirates could salvage, it was agreed that Sciutto could choose what she liked at the shop and get 30% profits from the sales of the new goods. This agreement ran for an year or close efore Kaal shut shop to go with Drexal to Labato.

 

As destiny would have it, the young buccaneer was also a member and they soon became comrades. 

 

Itano - Acquaintance - [Level 1]: Uses the less stringed version of her sister's favorite instrument. Kaal usually drops by to appreciate the music that Drexal and Itano produce and thinks that his Elvish Metal is rather good for netting out her more devastating spells. Although she is used to a different kind of music she certainly likes what he does with his guitar and the fact that his guitar is an entity itself is rather amusing, although it never refuses to pass remarks at her body whenever she is around.

 

Geo - Good Friend and Former associate - [Level 1] : A long time friend and a fellow wanderer, there was a certain air of melancholy around his very being. But Kaal usually tries to cheer him up, eventually over time, he warmed up to her company. Geo is an all-rounder when it comes to cooking, thus, even though his dishes won't have the miraculous tastes or super-specialty like Kaal or Remy, almost anything he makes is consistent and good flavored. Whichever town Kaal setup her shop, he usually traced her and spend a few months together adding a new spectrum to her otherwise specialist trade. But, will set out again as if he was trying to atone for something. She senses deep wounds left by time and circumstance in him but tries to make him focus on the gift of present whenever he comes for a visit.

Being an entity that has essence of both chaos and order, Geo is something special and Kaal can attest to the fact that behind the broken mask is a man as fine as the heroes from myths. It was lucky that she met him again in Blades of Fealty certainly saving him a long tiresome trip. All she hopes now is for him to finally find his calling and happiness in fulfilling his talents.

 

Fay - Lovely Kiddo - [Level 1]: The Sylph is an amazing being and truly an entity of the air considering how scatterbrained and confused he usually is. But he is also the most cheerful guy she has seen around here. Weirdly he says her mother is an entity of the Realm of chaos or rather a tentacle monster since he is not sure of her origins. Interestingly, he knows of Takayuki and refers to him as grandpa. Knowing such an elder entity sure means that child has some latent potential. He loves my sweet pies and I love making it for him, adorable little critter.

 

Naiiryn Shadac - Acquaintance - [Level 1]: This Eshu is a bit unique, since it seems he has fused with a human and not possessed him like his kind are known. He is the medical support of the guild and also runs a scamming business with Itano selling Blue Magic Mushrooms with promise of great eldritch powers. It is fun to see them round up hapless guys with big dreams and deep pockets. Apart from occasional group missions they do not know much of each other. 

 

Vafhudr - The Mystic - [Level 1]: The thirst for information and knowledge of the Intelligence chief reminds her of her elder sister, he is also a talented magus with a rather unique ability to form bonds with Ancient Deities and entities to come to his aide in battle. Although both are members of Blades now, their first meeting was in the land of Sylphs many a century back. When Kaal had just arrived in Batotia, she felt rather alone and lost with what to do with her time so occasionally she would venture in the adjacent dimensions into the land of Sylphs or Ifreets whichever she felt like going to and would dance away her melancholy and ennui. On one such trips when she was returning from the mountains of Sylph after a similar session she encountered Vaf, in the most bizarre of circumstances. He had lost his footing and was destined for a long fall which may kill a mortal but something about him suggested that that won't be his fate but still without hesitation Kaal found herself lunging towards his falling form and grabbing him out of the air. Breaking his fall and providing secure footing again. He may or may not have seen her crimson blush as she vanished before he could say a word busying herself with the usual in Batotia.   

 

Lucifer Skyette Phaedra - Adorable Chibi Imouto [Level 1]: When Kaal finally decided to pack shop and join Blades she found Sky at the harbor. Luckily for her the little girl was a seafarer and in return for providing her a bosom to rest and feel good on and giving her some love and food Kaal got a ride to Labato. The girl seemed regular in the beginning but Kaal could sense traces of chaotic energy in her. Her guesses were proven write when she saw her amazing skill at fending of pirates, she knew that instant that her first name wasn't just a mindless name given by a drunk sailor but a reference to her power. They have developed a good bond but knowing her age Kaal feels more like her ancestor than elder sister. Well, unless that is under wraps all can be fine, maybe the little one will embrace her anyways.Sky's skill with desserts has made Kaal confident in teaching her some of her signature pastries and pies and the little one is all game for them.

 

Dan Halen -Special Friend [level 1]: A hitman by profession, and not just any simpleton. He hunts gods or so he says, he came to my bakery a long time ago looking for my head. After some nice bagels and coffee and a long chat he decided that I wasn't a threat which had been painted by his client. So for the first time, he decided against the ends of his assignment and let me 'Live'. Knowing a bit about me he offered a side deal, should I decided to ever shut shop and move places. He'll provide me with a perfect alibi, in the form of a 'dead' body. his rep will ensure that the black market stays off my trail and the style of the so called murder will prove beyond certain doubt that I am not in two places. We met again in Labato, he said that he is a special member of the group I was joining and had a few more liberties than starters. Well not that it concerns me, the guy is handsome and a good talk plus he praises me for my pies, what else do I need? ~giggle~

 

Ein Flora Ida Luria - My Musical Half [Level 1]: Their meeting was entirely by chance. Kaal was letting her hair down in the quiet countryside. Finding a picturesque lake in the middle of a beautiful jungle. As thunder and lightening were her major background score that put her in the groove, the setting couldn't get any better. Well that is what she thought before a beautiful symphony wafted through the area caressing her soul lifting her, filling her with joy, ambient sounds melting away the layers of false identity of her as she returned to her primal nature. Mesmerized, she danced and cried as memories of her loved ones floated into her. Every step was filled with longing and rapture of freedom she had. Once regaining composure she ventured through the forest to find the source and came upon Luria. There was instant connect, Luria shared that Kaal's dance made her keep going and Kaal thought it was the other way. Since then they formed a pact. Whenever Luria is feeling low or Kaal feels under the weather, they'll seek each other and wash away their sorrow and be themselves.

Patoll may be harsh, but humanity still manages to survive despite the savage conditions. Some even thrive. The Rittmeisters of District 18 are one of, if not the most successful pirates in the region. Despite the negative repute of Patollians, not all pirates are brutes– some even have a sense of culture comparable to that of a Batonian scholar... it just happens that they just express their admiration in a non-conventional manner.

 

Amalia Rittmeister was a young gunner when she hijacked her first ship, the Dauphin. The ship hailed from Labato, full of artists and their patrons which meant a good haul in goods and ransom money, not to mention the gold. Intrordian guards were easy pickings for the pirate crew; the Dauphin was a bloody mess by the time they were through. In the chaos, Amalia rounded up a few hostages, famous artists all and took them back with her to District 18. Usually fraternizing with hostages was forbidden, but since her father was the captain, he allowed her this little folly.

 

It didn't take long for one of the hostages to charm her. Amadeus Sciutto Strauss, a travelling warrior-poet, sought to entertain his captors, instead of bribing them with gold and begging for his life. He had a child-like charisma about him, magnetic and enthralling. Everyone became his friend and Amalia fell in love. Soon enough, she was with child.

 

However, even Amadeus could not charm death from his door. As soon as the ransom money arrived, half of the crew rose in mutiny, resulting in a bloody battle where the artist and the captain was killed. Amadeus fell to a stray bullet while her father died by the hands of a traitorous friend who stabbed him in the back... or so the story goes. Amalia was devastated by their deaths, plagued by the guilt of being unable to defend her love and for bringing harm to her only family. She never even had a chance to bury their bodies, leaving the ship as it burned.

 

Since then, Amalia changed. Relinquishing all human emotion, she became a monster. Taking what was left of the crew, she sought to destroy all of Patoll in a war, disgusted with what she saw. When the child was born into the world, she took a week's rest and went back to the battlefield, leaving the child to a trusted friend, naming her Sciutto, in memory of Amadeus.

 

Sciutto grew up with stories people told her about her mother; some of them sounded like epic tales, while others drew her up to be some kind of monster. A horrible civil war was brewing among the districts, with Captain Amalia Rittmeister at the center of it all.

 

It was only when the conflict came to a ceasefire that her mother came back for her. Already fifteen at the time, Sciutto did not know what to make of the woman. Curiosity and a sense of awe drove her to follow Amalia.

 

The captain trained Sciutto as one of the crew, starting her off in the lowest position. It was harsh; the girl was prone to mischief and the severe discipline Amalia expected from her felt suffocating. Her back is scarred from the countless lashings she had received for insubordination and other such offenses. Hatred grew in her heart for the cruel stranger that Amalia was.

 

Yet the woman was wise. Throwing Sciutto into the waters unaided proved to be the best way to teach the girl how to survive. After a few fierce raids on the supply routes that provide Intrordia with its riches, Sciutto knew the ins and outs of most vessels as well as learning the art of combat.

 

Of course, as soon as Amalia felt her daughter was getting complacent, she promptly kicked her out of the crew... but not without giving Sciutto a little ship of her own and orders for her to assault as many districts as possible.

 

Sciutto thinks her mother just wants to watch the world burn, ignorant of her mother's past. The young pirate thirsts for adventure. Already she has set her sights upon the skies, eager for the day she can cast a shadow over her mother's armada. The Blades of Fealty seemed like the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Kross - onee-sama turned rival. [Lvl. 1]

Though Amalia was a horrid mother (at least by Sciutto's standards), she had the sense of hiring some sort of babysitter to look after her unruly child. Kross, a young but talented recruit at the time in Amalia's crew, happened to be perfect for the job. Sciutto looked up to her and thought of her as a big sister; needless to say they were quite close. However, a few years after the mutiny, Kross disappeared, leaving no trails as to where she is now. Apparently Kross attacked Amalia and her men before making her escape; Sciutto wonders whether or not she remains a friend– there are chiling tales of a demon that match Kross' description all too well.

 

Sciutto is both eager and hesitant to meet Kross, but she is one of the reasons why she joined the Blades of Fealty.

 

Naiiryn Shadac - friend and associate. [Lvl. 1]

On one particular smuggling trade in Gendis, a castaway had the gall to sneak onto one of Amalia's vessels. Sciutto found him hiding begind a stack of wine barrels, looking up at her with a sullen look on his face. Amalia would have executed him on the spot, but decided to let him live on account of sensing his hidden abilities. Sciutto quickly took him under her wing, showing him the ropes and helping him understand what it was to live life as an outlaw. Though Naiiryn Shadac was quiet, Sciutto knew he was a formidable ally. The two eventually had to part ways, though they occasionaly met when odd job offers arose. Then one day Naiiryn decided to disappear, prompting her to try to track him down. Yet it was useless, the boy was a master of shadows; he would only be found when he wanted to be found.

 

Of course, when it came to light that he joined the Blades, Sciutto was exceedingly happy. He was the most normal friend she had (again, according to her questionable standards).

 

L. Rastia - superior. [Lvl. 1]

Spoiler

Pirates aren't different from other people; they're just ordinary folk just trying to make a living. After a poorly planned ambush in Labato's main trading port, Sciutto found herself face to face with the law... with a capital L. It wasn't the first time this happened; usually escape was a breeze, but Rastia wasn't just anyone. Sciutto ended up spending a few nights in prison. When he offered her a recuitment in exchange for freedom, the pirate snapped up the offer.

 

These days she spends her time looking for recruits for the Blades, to keep Rastia off her back. Sometimes though, she likes to keep him on his toes with subtle rebellion. Late reports, filching gold from the groups coffers, little things like that.

• Dragon Takedown [Lvl. 1] Dragon Swarm + Pirate Takedown

Sciutto launches target high into the air, pierces target with the trident three times, and uses the staff to slam them back to the ground. When target hits ground, Rastia descends upon him with multiple hits and slashes.

 

Fay - pet friend. [Lvl. 1]

Stowaways seem to be as common as rats on ships. Sciutto didn't particularly mind this one; besides this time it was her ship Fay was sneaking on and not Amalia's. He (or she, Sciutto wasn't very sure) seemed to be a delusional child who claimed he had a tentacle-monster for a mother. Fay reminds her a bit of Naiiryn, but this one is far more lively and delusional than that guy ever was. Since the boy didn't really have anything better to do, Sciutto recommended him to join Rastia's military group. She sees potential in the boy, as well as his mother. The latter would make a beautiful fried calamari dish.

 

Now she wonders if she will ever regret the decision of inviting Fay. The damned kid can't even remember her last name.

 

Remy Antoinette Charlevoix - friend. [Lvl. 1]

This one was actually a paying passenger. The fees were exorbitant, of course, but Remy doesn't need to know that, does she? During a particularly bad skirmish with one of Intrordia's navy forces, Remy revealed herself to be a magi, attacking the opposing ship and essentially saving Sciutto's ass. From then on, Sciutto has vowed never to overcharge this one ever again. After that show of skill, an invitation to the Blades of Fealty was inevitable. The idea of Remy becoming an enemy is far too chilling to imagine.

 

Right now, Sciutto's on pretty good terms with this one. Anyone with the power to make instant ice cream is a keeper in her books.

Drexal Maxie - partner-in-crime. [Lvl. 1]

Not all outlaws are bad... but they are all unreproachably cool. When a pirate meets a ninja, their mere presence warps the fabric of the universe due to their combined badassery. When Sciutto isn't not off carrying out Amalia's or Rastia's orders, she's most often found getting into trouble with Drexal. It's all for a good cause though. Most (not all, of course. Pirates will be pirates, after all.) of their loot goes to the poor orphans of Patoll, where the pair are known as the Lightning Thieves.

 

Drexal also seems inclined to play pranks on Rastia when things get too quiet; Sciutto can't resist joining in on the fun.

 

Kaal Ratri - associate. [Lvl. 1]

Spoiler

Raids are an inevitable part of pirate life. Personally, Sciutto doesn't care much for it, what with all the screaming and burning. But mother knows best. After an order from Amalia to ransack an Intrordian city, Sciutto came upon a bakery, intending to help herself to some delicious bagels. She broke the windows and put on her most menacing smirk, but it was to no avail; the shopkeeper regarded her with an enviable nonchalance. An ominous aura surounded the woman, making the pirate think twice. In the end, Kaal gave Sciutto a pie and a cut of the profits in exchange for leaving her bakery unscathed. The exchange was more than fair; now everytime Sciutto vists, she gets one free pastry of her choice; all Amalia has to do is sell Kaal those exotic 100-year-old fruitcakes that no one wants anyway.

 

Now that they're technically comrades, Sciutto still enjoys mooching off of the talented baker. Not too much though; the prospect of pissing this mage off still gives her the chills.

 

Itano - sempai. [Lvl. 1]

Sciutto actually met this guy back at the Blades headquarters. While wandering around, the soulful tone of a wicked guitar solo echoed throughout the halls; she immediately tracked the noise down. The source turned out to be some kind of demonic musician, his eyes as mad as his music. Sciutto watched, entranced, as he manhandled the guitar. She also watched, entranced, as the guitar told its master to fuck off.

 

Since then, she's been a fan ever since. Sometimes she likes to choreograph her attack moves to Itano's Elvish Metal.

After one too many at one of Patoll's taverns, Sciutto apparently said something about the bartender's mother that displeased him greatly. A horrible barfight broke out. Had Sciutto been sober, then the fight would have been a cinch; however, at her current state, she was in trouble. A stranger stepped in and helped move the odds in her favor, helping her beat the curs to a bloody pulp– all Sciutto could remember about him was a strange mask. He left before she could buy him a drink.

• Scuba Dive [Lvl. 1] False Rain + Diving Impact

Sciutto throws her trident with extreme speed so that there appears to be five, though one is actually real. Geo quickly positions himself and descends upon the target, impaling him with his sword, regardless of whether the target gets hit by Sciutto's trident.

This is the first lesson a pirate learns before he even touches a boat. The oceans of the world are a dangerous place. In order to survive, a pirate must become one with the waters, harnessing the currents and working swiftly to sink the enemy. Sciutto strikes from unexpected angles with blistering speed and shattering strength, relying on surprise, deceit, and precise dodging to win the battle. While empty-handed fights are quite adaptable to this style, Sciutto prefers to use a weighed net and a trident called Leviathan, a memento of her father. The trident allows for attacks from nearly all ranges, as it can be thrown, but is also effective with quick stabs and thrusts.

 

Being a descendant of the legendary Rittmeister clan, Sciutto has inherited an affinity for water. It can be said that her body feels more at home in the seas than on land. The power is more latent than offensive; where Amalia created storms, Sciutto survives them. Beathing under water is a cinch for her, the oxygen in the liquid somehow being absorbed into her lungs. Other than this, in close ranges, she can also control blood and hasten or slow down bleeding, as bodies are composed of 50-70% in fluids.

 

She is not only her mother's daughter... but her father's as well. The Leviathan obeys its master without question, meaning it can be summoned at will, called back to its master's hands. Upon Amadeus' death, its allegiance shifted to the closest blood-kin, which happened to be Sciutto. This renders it unable to be used against her; the trident changes trajectory when thrown at its master.

 

Style Bonuses:

• Trident Throw - Your basic Attack action can also be ranged, and that is by throwing the trident. The trident will reappear back into your hands after the throw automatically with no need for Summon, but it will always come back automatically if used as a basic attack.
• Artes of the Sea - Gives Sciutto access to her unique Artes gained through being a lady of the sea.
• Blood Bound - Being in possession of the Trident gives Sciutto 10% more P.DEF and M.DEF due to it's special properties. This bonus disappears if she is no longer in possession of it.

[3 TP] Sailor's Gamble - Rushes at the target and skewers and restrains him, while throwing the net over the both of them, regardless of hits taken. Essencially a suicide move that leaves Sciutto with 1% HP, used to pin or kill a powerful opponent. Good for 2v2 battles.

[4 TP] Swordfish Dance - Sciutto's movement speed goes to the limit; she appears to multiply and surrounds the target and descends upon him in a series of deadly rushes, essentially tearing the target to pieces. The attack range covers a spherical area of up to twenty-four feet in circumference.

[4 TP] Catch of the Day - a long-ranged attack with deadly accuracy, where the trident is thrown with massive force, hitting the target in less than a second, effectively creating a gaping wound in the target's body, or shattering whatever was used to block the blow, as well as leaving a train of destruction in its path, the speed and force generating a straight shockwave. Race: She calls herself a Sin'Dorei, though in the end all call her a Blood Elf.

Backstory: Almost three years ago, a strange girl appeared within the confines of On'Man'Ga's lands. Everywhere she walked, the weather grew colder, and with it, the sentiments of the immediate populace's demeanor towards her also grew chilled. So, at the earliest she can remember, she could remember the life of a nomad, moving listlessly from one town to the next until no homes were left. Driven out of each home and each little cottage she could try to house herself within, eventually a life on the streets as a beggar seemed her best option. Slowly, she starved, and the more she starved, the more desperate she became. Even resorting to stealing food and goods alike to simply make ends meet, so that she could at least keep moving into the next tragedy.

 

It wasn't until one day that she was on the run from guards that she came into a place called Calibus. A guild of adventureres and misfits just like her. Initally, she was terrified, but she was met with such a warm welcome. With open arms, they accepted her into their home, even in spite of the chilling air she seemed to constantly emanate.

 

Here, in her new home, she had her first encounter with the Silver Tounged Weaver. He whose flames seemed to embrace creation and destruction. Elijah. Spotting the miserable awkwardness in the Elven girl, he took her beneath his wing. Soon before long, they were engaged in all sorts of missions and misadventures both comical and dangerous at times and it is with his careful help and guidance, she gained better control and precision with her magic. To the point where no longer did she constantly surround herself with cold, but welcomed the warmth of the world. It is with his help that she rose to become one of the most powerful Arch Magi in On'Man, famed for both her prowess and beauty alike.

 

With fame came suitors, and she rejected them. 

 

Yet her bliss in finally finding a place she could not call home was still met with tragedy. The world as they knew it was slowly dying. Familiar faces were disappearing into the abyss, and sent out on the most dangerous mission by the Guildmaster, Elijah and Remy found themselves standing at a precipice. In order to continue existing, one of the great three needed to be sacrificed. Elijah, the Flame of Creation, Remy, the Mistress of Time, or Rastia, the Warden of the Earth. Much to her refusal, Elijah stepped forward to be the sacrifice. Clinging onto the first person who had shown her true kindness in what she thought was her final embrace, the Frost Mage made a wild decision in the heat of the moment.

 

She was going to jump with him. 

 

Not removing her eyes from his as she intertwined her cold fingertips about the warmth of his hands, the two jumped into the residual remnants of the world. Their sacrifice being that which bound the world together and put a stay in its prolonged death. Yet as her eyes closed with naught but a peaceful expression on her face, she felt no pain, no burning, no burst of magical energy destroying who she was, there was nothing. In fact, she could feel light, and a warmth upon her face of the sun kissing her cheek. Opening one eye, the Elven girl saw rolling green fields and skies of blue. Could this have been the afterlife she was told existed?

 

No. It was quite far from this fact.

 

It was a completely different world! A land called Batoto with many new faces and friends alike! This time, the awkwardness gone from her poise, she settled in quite comfortably to her new surroundings. Soon she became known as one of the most capable Magi. Yet there was still something missing. Elijah. He was still missing, and once she had grown comfortable navigating the seemingly endless lands, she left the home she had settled into in search of him. For without the Silver Tongued Weaver she felt incomplete, though she could never understand why.

 

 

Relationships:

The Captain - (lvl 1) Currently in her travels, Remy is onboard a ship owned by a privateer (others would call her something as uncouth as a Pirate) known as Sciutto. It can be peculiar to think that she would opt for such a mode of travel, however, the ship was sturdy and fast, even though the price seemed a little steep. The journey in itself was nice and quiet to start, until the ship came under attack by an opposing Navy, intending to capture or kill the Captain of her ferry. The enemy's ship was larger, with more people, and better guns, so Remy reluctantly decided to even the odds. Soon decimating the Ship and it's crew with it, the Magi found herself being invited to the Blades of Fealty, the commander to which Sciutto served being someone she had been searching quite some time for.

 

That, and she really enjoyed Remy's Ice Cream recipe.

 

Fay - (lvl 1) A peculiar boy to which claims that his mother is a tentacle monster of sorts. Obviously being that of the Fae, he quickly befriended Remy through bits of small talk and touches of strange humor throughout the voyage. Though it is little known that he too was about to join the ranks of BoF. Having many questions as to her lineage, the Magi let very little on about her history, as such things she preferred would stay hidden. Only talking of former friends and a guild she had once served, he seemed to take great interest; though scatterbrained as that may be. He was a stowaway on the Captain's ship, which very much surprised the Magi when he wasn't simply just thrown overboard.

 

Drexal - (lvl 1) - A descendant of Walter, though assumingly just as lecherous, Remy initially kept her distance from the man during his time in On'Man. Though as time grew on, the immortal Elven girl eventually befriended the man, and he often took up a rather over protective stance of her akin to an older brother of sorts. Yet she could never understand why, perhaps to amend for the sins of his great-great-great-great-great Grandfather. Even though the Drexal of this universe shares no blood relation with the one she is so accustomed to, Remy still thinks of him as the same.

 

Kaal Ratri - (lvl 1) A fellow ancient, Kaal is a credibly powerful Magi that Remy holds immense respect for. Though she hasn't quite met the Magi face to face just yet, the fact that the Captain's ship is en-route back to the Guild Headquarters means that the meeting between two masters of incredible power is inevitable. So great is her reputation that murmurs of rumor still linger throughout the crew of the ship, leading the Frost Magi to almost be intimidated. Yet, it would not be the first time she'd be in the company of a God, nor it seemed, would it be the last.

 

Dan Halen - (lvl 1) Another peculiarly familiar face in the halls of Blades of Fealty. Unsure of him, his general nature and actions lead her to believe that he is one and the same man that she had known in On'Man! Though she never found the bravery to confront him on such a thought. Often were they deployed on missions together, and quickly they began to work quite well with one another with greater coordination, perhaps without even thinking! Soon, she'll find the conviction to confront him on whether or not he is the one she knew so well from another time and place.

She is a magi that manipulates time, and utilizes controlling and devastating frost magic. Utilizing precise and manipulative Time Magic, she enhances her Frost Magic abilities as she freezes her enemies and in an essence, shatters them. Conjuring what seems to be bolts, lances, and bombs of Frost, Barriers of Ice and the like, she has a tendency to vanish in the blink of an eye only to be seen in the distance fromt he original point.

 

Style Bonuses:

• Frost Artes - Allows Remy to wield her specialized Ice elemental Artes.
• Time Artes - A special range of Artes not normally available to even her magically talented race. This allows her to make use of them.
• Eternal Freeze - A special trait that distinguishes her as the Mistress of Frozen Eternity. All Frost Artes inflict a Slow status effect which reduces the afflicted's SPD by 10%.

 

Overlimit:

• Time Warp - (M.Atk Support)  This Overlimit increases the combat capability of herself and her allies by a significant amount. Literally making it seem as if they no longer obey the rules of time itself as they move and strike with utterly inhuman speeds. Blizzard - (M. Atk Assault) - (3 TP) Remy conjures forth a devastating blizzard with harsh winds and bitter temperatures over a general area. Ranging from a ten yard width to a city block. Causes reduced visibility, damage from hail and shards of ice tearing through the sky and the like. She however, needs to channel this ability to get it to work and to continue to work properly.

 

Support Abilities:

Ice Block - (M.Atk Support) - (2 TP) In times of extreme danger, Remy surrounds herself in a massive block of ice. Of which is impervious to physical and magical blows to buy time.
Icy Veins - (M. Atk Support) - (1 TP) For a brief moment of time, she increases her own personal haste by threefold. Increasing her combat capabilities remarkably. (+2 to base Spd/Skl for three posts)

Ice Barrier - (M.Atk Support) - (2 TP) Conjuring a shield about herself, it is a semi-translucent barrier of ice that can take physical blows. If broken, the shield explodes outward in an Ice Nova.

Ring of Frost - (M. Atk Support) - (2 TP) Creating a massive ring of translucent magic on the ground, any who trespass in or out of it's borders become frozen and encased in ice.

Deep Freeze - (M.Atk Support) - (3 TP) Remy literally freezes a person in place. Encasing them in a block of ice. Holding them imprisoned for a few seconds and making them extremely vulnerable.

Frozen Armor - (M.Atk Support) (0 TP) Remy can create a hardened, transparent icy armor for her own protection. Those who succeed in hitting her are slowed down as the Ice travels down the blade to their body.

 

Shatter - (M.Atk Passive) - Any enemy struck by an Ice Lance while Frozen or Frozen in place suffers a "shatter" effect. In an essence, they take an extra 50% damage from Ice Lance

 

Blink - (M.Atk Support) - (0 TP) Remy ceases to exist in one point of time, and reemerges in another. Ranging in distance from several feet to nearly thirty feet away.

Counterspell - (M.Atk Support) - (0 TP) Twice in any fight, Remy can counterspell an opponent caster. Breaking their cast and silencing them, making them unable to cast for several seconds.

Greater Invisibiliity - (M.Atk Support) (1 TP) Before combat begins, the Mistress of Time can warp the very air that surrounds her, creating an illusion of invisibility for her adversaries.

Alter Time - (M.Atk Support) - (3 TP) Remy alters the flow of time. Creating an imprint of herself in another time, at her will, she can return to that imprint, undoing anything that might've been done to her.

Presence of Mind - (M. Atk Support) - (1 TP) Remy alters her own personal time for several minutes, granting increased casting haste. (+2 Spd)

Evocation - (M. Atk Support) - (0 TP) Channelling her focus for several seconds, Remy rewinds the costs of casting magic. The longer the channel lasts, the more TP she restores. Though it makes her vulnerable, as there is nothing else she can do while channeling.

Frost Bolt Barrage - (M.Atk Assault) - (4 TP) Remy summons anywhere from six to a dozen frostbolts at once to strike her adversary or adversaries with similar effects.
Ice Lance Barrage - (M. Atk Assault) - (4 TP) Remy summons anywhere from six to a dozen Ice Lances and hurls them at a single target. Often used as an execution move.

Frost Bomb Barrage - (M.Atk Assault) - (4 TP) Conjuring multiple Frost Bombs at once, Remy literally causes several to a dozen bombs to detonate at once on a single person. Dealing massive damage to not only her target, but to any adversary that might be nearby.

Original Backstory from Batotia City:

Geo, or originally, Zen Hajin, was a young teen that unfortunately arrived at one of the worst moments of Batotia City. He waltzed in and decided to take a nap in his bench. Unfortunately for two people (*cough* Maia and X *cough* sorry about that) they were encountered by a Geo possessed by an inner demon locked inside of him from his past. He was tortured, experimented, and traumatized by someone he trusted before, it was soon it resulted of the creation of the demon. At his rage, D-Geo was met by another rampaging man (*cough* Inumori *cough*) and he was freed from the holds of the demon.

Turns out The Demon was an infected guardian angel next to the second one within Geo, who both originated in a large array of floating chunks of land in the sky, the Arid Badlands. Now with the power of The Angel (light) and The Demon (darkness), he does his best to defend the people of batotia city without killing.

 

An offspring between an angel and a human, a love that couldn't really be successful. After his birth, the angel had to leave his family for good. He really didn't know who his father was, but it didn't change his life that greatly. Once he finished his highschool and was able to leave on his own journey for his own, he left to go to Batotia City.

 

An original resident of Old Batotia and was greatly involved with the Great War. He was normal before the events unfolded, a happy-go-lucky guy who was emotional at times. He was a good friend to be with at least. This all changed once the demon, Drev, that resided inside of him finally decided to wake and take over his body. He was destructive during that time and had no control over his own body; it lead to him being quite hated among the many people that also were involved with the Great War. He definitely had friends who did understand his problem, but the demon ended up backstabbing them. He doesn't know if those friends forgave him, because he left to avoid them.

 

During the resolve of the Great War, Drev finally emerged from the body of Geo. His intent, was to defeat him and take full control of his body and wreck havoc with full force. The battle was long and tedious, but at the conclusion of the battle, Geo won and the two soon assimilated into one being. He was finally back in full control of his body for good, but the essence of Drev still remains in his body to this day. The thing was, he was never the same since, with the essence of Drev in his body, his lifespan is greatly expanded alongside his already large lifespan from being a half-angel. Once the assimilation was done, he had a feeling like he can never go back to his happier days. Soon afterwards he roams endlessly around the world that was building around him, as a very negative person. Who knows if he can truly atone for the deeds Drev had committed during the war or if he ever is going to see his father.

 

For 500 years, he has roamed around trying every little thing to help others; it is the least he can do to others. It wasn't enough to feel at peace with himself, but he feels everything counts now.

 

Geo still holds his original blank mask he had carried from the past as a memento of his old times. The times that were good, and the times that were bad, but it was all the same to him now. It was now his old brand that reminds the people who he was before, and someday, he will finally remove his mask for good. Even if it takes an eternity walking nowhere. That walking lead him to join the Blades of Fealty; working with them might finally atone his sins for good.

 

Relationships:

• Everyone: Some people who lived at his time remember his deeds, many people have read the magnificent recorded stories of the city's destruction caused by Drev. There are some people who somehow crossed paths with him during his timeless walk of shame; never to know that they encountered someone who was a large influence of the Great War 

 

• Captain Scuitto [Aided Stranger] [Lvl 1]: Geo's wandering lead him to the unlawful area, Patoll. Wanting to take a nice little break, he decided to have a little drink to drown his lingering sorrows again; only to see a tipsy woman in a middle of an unfair bar fight. As usual, he stepped in to help her beat the other drunk idiots to a bloody pulp. Knowing that he did enough damage for today, he left quickly, only to show a glimpse of his mask to the woman who he helped. She seemed like a nice lady.​

 

• Kaal Ratri [Rare Friend/Former Associate] [Lvl 1]: For Geo, Kaal was something else. She was one of his very rare long time friends he had, and was also a fellow wanderer like him. When they first met, she tried to cheer him up, despite him not wanting to in the first place. After awhile, he warmed up to her and enjoyed the company she gave. Her baking skills was something from another world, but she lacks the ability to cook something else that does not involve baking.

  Whenever Kaal sets up her shop in another town, he finds a way to end up encountering her once again. He spends some time with her to help her out with different kinds of food to broaden the spectrum of taste. Eventually, he has his past finding a way to haunt him as usual, and he eventually leaves once again to atone for his mistakes, done many centuries ago. In the end, he knew deep inside his heart, they will cross paths once again as always do every time they depart.

Dark elemental attacks have good synergy with darkness-based attacks from allies (e.g. Demonic).

Physical Mystic Arte - Reaper's Bounty [Dark]: Geo's body gets enshrouded by a cloak of eternal darkness and chains. The opponents gets caught by the chains as Geo conjures up a scythe and very quickly dashes towards them with a barrage of slices and cuts. Attack finishes it off with claws digging deep into the foe and ripping essence forcefully.

 

Moving on Route:

 

Magical Mystic Arte - Requiem of Redemption [Light]: Geo's body glows intensely as ten tendrils of light and wings of light sprout from the back of his body. Flying straight up; he throws an all out barrage with the tendrils and balls of pure intense light. The Arte finishes it off with a large bomb of light thrown at them with a great dazzling explosion.

 

Note: The pure light stuff aren't really bright at all, they're pretty dim. Mixed elemental Artes are grey in colour.

Backstory:

Nothing is really known about her childhood and even little about how she lived prior to waking up in a nearly demolished warehouse in Patoll,10 years ago. When she woke up, she was met with a piercing headache and blurry vision. Getting up would prove to be worse, as she barely managed to sit upward with each part of her body feeling dead. Her clothes were completely shredded, which revealed a body covered in disturbing scars from head to toe along by burn marks all over her arms and legs. Looking around she could see the area was filled with what looked to be the corpses of bandits, seemed fitting considering how hideous they were. Blood was also splattered everywhere, so whoever cut them down surely enjoyed themselves.

 

After resting for awhile, feeling in her arms and legs started coming back. Still struggling to get up, she managed to stand for a few moments before being forced to drop to a knee. With a grimace, she noticed a strange looking sword that was seemingly under her all this time. It was a crimson blade with strange markings along with a cross with an "X" engraved over it on the hilt. Underneath a nearby corpse was a near identical blade with the same "X" on the hilt. Picking them up, she noticed as drops of blood trickled off the blades. Trying to patch things together, her thought process was interupted by loud sound of yelling with footsteps coming closer. Within moments, not long after picking up the blades, found herself the center of attention of a group of 6, no 7 people, that bore likeness to the corpses on the ground. Well, their outfits anyways.

 

As per usual in situations, they weren't exactly pleased with that they were seeing. Dead comrades and a girl wielding twinblades dripping in blood would do that, not like the state her body was in made her stand out even less....In no time, all of them but 1 charge in with the 7th, presumably the leader, stood still and kept a close watch on her. As she took out one grunt after the next, the leader, whose face was hidden, kept observing and didn't budge an inch. After the last one was killed, he started to move but instead of charging in, he took his time. Taking her stance, she was thrown even more for a loop when he stopped, raised up a hand and instead had a proposition.

 

Soon after the "incident", she found herself in the company of the very same men she slain. Surely couldn't have been easy for the others, sitting with the person that probably (sure thing under their eyes) murdered your teammates and friends. But they'll have to suck it up and move past it, especially if they're supposed to be pirates. The strong survive and the weak are to be weeded out, eh? A turn of events that she surely didn't expect. It's not like she had a reason to turn the offer down. Not like she had anywhere to go back to. Not a having a name or a single damn memory is quite frustrating. On Impulse she gave him the name "Kross", After the cross on her blades, With "X", also after the engraving off her blades, settling as a nick of sorts for those who deem it being easier to remember. Not like it's her real name, no reason for her to care what she's called. 

 

After so many years of adapting to the 'pirates way of life' or some blood thirsty brute pretending to be one anyways. Some have even taken to calling/comparing her to a demon out of the way she goes about things but mostly it's because she hasn't aged in the last 10 years. But really, who in Patoll isn't? Especially "District 13"? Out of all the districts, "District 13" is said to be one of the, if not thee, most barbaric and brutal of Patoll's 25 districts. Not to mention the most troublesome, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone in Patoll that hasn't heard of them. After all, "District 13" makes it their makes it their priority to get involved in every deal they can, which doesn't really go down well with the other districts. It's as expected after all, they do plan to take full control of Patoll. A lofty dream indeed, but a goal to strive for nontheless. "Uniting All of Patoll" has been uttered so many times it's gotten irritating. Don't misunderstand, while they say "Unite all of Patoll" Doesn't really mean they're all noble or anything, just aiming for more and more power.

 

After nearly a decade (Around 7 years) of pillaging, killing and laying waste to nearby districts with the Pirates of District 13, she took her leave from Patoll. While nothing against them, she felt it was time to move on. Remains on good terms with them. Within a few months, she made her way to Laboto as she happened upon a "group" of sorts calling themselves "The Blades of Fealty". While no real initial interest in joining, her mind changed when word started going around and they became more widely known. Seizing the oppertunity, Kross officially Joined The Blades. 

 

3 years later (After joining BoF), It's a new day, which means time for a new mission.

While she has never personally spoken to her, Kross would often catch the girl staring right at her only for her expression to turn into a stinging glare before going about her business. While she normally doesn't seem to care about things like this, this is just irritating!

 

Vafhudr - Warrior Of The Winds [Level 1]

He is one of the founding members and a commander of the 'Blades Of Fealty' and also known all over as the 'Warrior Of The Winds', in short, one of her superiors. While they never talk nor know much, if anything, about each other, she does often see him around BoF HQ. Though curious to see him in action, she has no interest in conversing with him.

Style Description: A fast paced style that sacrifices defense in favor of speed and power, that constantly pressures the opponent. While able to hit in a variety of ranges, it favors close combat and mid-range attacks. The style also allows the user to Wield "Twin Blade Artes" and "Demonic Artes", giving her a vast arsenal of Artes. The "Bloodlust Arte" is essentially the same as the "Pinpoint" Arte, except rather than follow up with a repeated Arte at half damage for no cost, given "Bloodlust" was used in a previous and the effect hasn't been used, the next Arte she lands can instantly change into a Demonic Arte, cancelling the original Arte, but transforming it into the stronger "Demonic Arte".

 

Style Bonuses: 

• Twin Blade Artes - Gives Kross access to Twin Blade Artes, as well as the unique Pinpoint and Bloodlust Artes.

Tiger Rage [PA] [2TP]: slashes upwards to launch himself into the air with the enemy, twisting in the air to slash the target at least twice more, before ending with a final downward slash while landing.

Double Demon Fang [PA] [2TP]: A ranged attack that sends two projectile waves to the enemy in quick succession. It's activated as an extension when Demon Fang is used twice immediately, granting the second projectile with more damage capacity than two Demon Fang attacks used separately.

Senkuu Souhazan [PA] [3TP]: The attack begins with a spiralling slash upwards, two up and down sets of slashes in mid-air, and then a thrust going diagonally into the ground with a short distance. Combination of Tornado Drive and Tiger Rage.

Majin Kuugashou [PA] [3TP]: The user swings the sword forward sending a shockwave along the ground, before thrusting the sword forward to stab the enemy. Combination of Demon Fang and Shunjinken.

Majin Rengazan [PA] [3TP]: Demon Fist and Demon Fang are combined and followed up by a simultaneous shock wave-inducing finisher.

 

Burst Artes

Zankoushigure [PA] [4TP]: The target is showered with several rapid thrusts, followed by a strong upward slash and a final blow in midair.

Tenroumetsuga Saiha [PA] [4TP]: Has Kross creating a fissure, and then plunge her sword into the ground raising several rocks that damages the enemy.

Makoujin [PA] [4TP]: A Technique in which Kross spins her sword around in a circle at a blinding speed, before slamming it into the ground to create a Mid-range shockwave that hits all enemies in a large arc in front of the character.

Race: Human, but some wonder from time to time...

Backstory: There is a place in the world of Foruumia that belongs to no sovereign nation. It does not belong to Batotia, nor to On'Eman'Ga, or even to Quatrechan. It is a vast chain of islands, filled with dark, foreboding jungles that hide a multitude of creatures, strange locales, and artifacts within their leaves. Most know this place as Kaiga Mori- the picture forest. And for those with enough bravery to challenge its daunting expanse, enough cunning to navigate its winding paths, and enough strength to fend off the monster within, this place where none rule but nature can yield treasures and specimens aplenty. Enough so, that some have chosen to make their living off of doing this. Dan Halen is one such man. Nobody quite knows where he came from or what he used to do. Many would be sworn he used to be a hitman or Special Forces Commander, but they don't have anything concrete to use with it. Others would declare that Dan was once the messenger of a goddess, the go-between for his deity and the people under her care... and the angel of death for those that earned her wrath. However, many find this laughable; after all, if he was a servant of a goddess once, why is he not now? If she had "died" her killers would've surely slain him first, and if he had angered her somehow he wouldn't be standing there for them to discuss, now would he? Still more will hold fast that he is little more than a hired gun who would do anything for money, even slaying his own sister, but they don't dare say that in front of him. All that is really known is that Dan Halen is an incredible fighter and marksman who walks into and out of the Kaiga Mori on a daily basis nearly unscathed, usually on a hunt for someone else's benefit, after some picture or theme song or another, and that he's always more than happy to share a particularly good bounty with those he calls friends. And if you pay him enough- or have him on standing commission, like the Blades of Fealty do- he'll happily hunt down something (or very possibly someONE) for you.

Drexal Maxie ("You're adorable, kid.") [Lv 1]

A guy with the air of a street rat who fancies himself a ninja assassin, Drexal started off as "An annoying little puke that the employer wanted me partnered with for heaven knows what reason and who I'd love to shoot", but following through on that would have been unprofessional. So he tolerated the little shinobi and his loud mouth. Eventually, through who knows what reason, tolerance turned into something that could be called proper regard for the guy. Life is weird. 

 

Remy Antoinette Charlevoix  ("What is it about her...?") [Level 1]:  On the rare occasion that the two cross paths, Dan acts a bit strange around the Sin'dorei magus. He tends to act very reserved around her, more so than usual, almost as if he's not sure he can trust her. And yet, when the two of them are thrown into the fray together, they seem to instinctively move in unison, building off one another as if they'd fought together a thousand times...

 

Kaal Ratri ("Well, this is new...") [Lv 1]: Probably the single oddest case Dan's ever taken, Kaal was painted up by his client to be some sort of world-ending terror that needed to die before her evil plans came to fruition and all that jazz. But after a bit of investigating, he came to determine that unless those plans involved drowning the world in chocolate cream pies, it wasn't gonna happen. Truth be told, she's one of the nicer people he's ever met, so he gave her an offer; if she ever wants to pull her death and resurrection act, she could ask him to provide the cause of death and he would happily agree. Plus side, her pies are delicious. Now, if he could only figure out why the ice cream tasted so familiar...

-The Gravedigger: A large metal coffin that Dan carries around with him. Inside is a small armory of firearms, from pistols to shotguns to sniper rifles that he can take out and use at his leisure. While horribly impractical to the point of uselessness for offense, in a pinch the Gravedigger CAN be used as an emergency shield, but repairs are costly so he tries to avoid that.

 

-Chishio Bara: A specially engraved revolver with a red lacquered rosewood handle, this weapon is a sentimental keepsake for Dan that he carries on him at all times and is only used for his most powerful attacks (ie Burst & Mystic). Trying to take it from him is colloquially listed as the 3rd most surefire method of suicide.

 

-Trusty Machete: Exactly what it sounds like. Never leave home without it.

 

Style Name: "The Hunt is On"

Style Description:

"A poor hunter is doomed the moment his prey escapes his ideal range. A skilled hunter can herd his prey into the range he wants. But the greatest hunter does not need such things. For the greatest hunters, there is no such thing as a range that isn't ideal."

 

Dan's style of combat is one that revolves around the use of firearms, as most would suspect by his arsenal. What they would not expect, however, is the fact that he does not fight like a normal gunman. He doesn't seek a place of cover from which to fire at long range, he stands out in the open, almost as if he is daring his opponent to try and close the gap into melee with him. Once they do, they are often surprised to find that not only is Dan able to use his guns effectively at close range, he is arguably all the more deadly when he does. He seems to specialize in a form of Close Quarters Combat that combines martial arts strikes with rapid pistol shots to ruin any opponent foolish enough to get in close. In addition, this style allows Dan to channel his willpower into his guns to serve in the place of bullets, instead firing blasts of force that he can redirect to varying degrees while in mid-flight. This combination serves to make him an incredibly lethal opponent at any range.

 

Style Bonuses:

• Gun Kata Artes - The special form of combat with guns, rather than standard marksmanship.
• Trick Shot - Gives access to Will Bullets, which allow 1-3TP Artes to change direction once after firing.
• Dual Wield - Allows Dan to wield two guns, allowing him to aim two targets simultaneously, while he can only use one Arte even then, he can use his free hand (depending on Arte used) to fire a basic attack at the 2nd target. He cannot basic attack the same target in this instance.

-Reap My Boot: Dan delivers a brutal roundhouse kick aimed at his opponent's neck. Melee, Physical.

 

-Die Standing: Dan dashes inside an opponent's guard and presses his gun right up against their body, then fires several rounds into them at point blank range. Melee, Physical.

-Raining Chaos: Dan fires a series of shots into the air, which then alter direction at and come down on top of a target area in a hail of pain. Range, Physical.

-Trophy Taker: A brutal swipe with the Trusty Machete or a hand chop that hits with enough force to take a target's head off. Melee, Physical.

-Collateral Damage: Dan surges his Willpower bullets, not into a gun's chamber, but into the gun itself. Once filled to bursting, he hurls the gun toward a target before shooting it with the Chishio Bara, causing the thrown gun to violently erupt in a massive explosion. Range, Physical.

Sniper Rifle- Instantly arms and activates Will Bullets, regardless of the normal cooldown. Cooldown then resets as normal.

Pistol- Removes 1 status ailment from Dan automatically.

-Hunter's Thrill: The hunt is at its peak when the prey is trying to run for it, and Dan lives for that moment. Deals 25% extra damage against targets attempting to run away or dodge his attacks.

Backstory: Ryth was a boy dumped on the edge of Patoll District 12 by his mother.  He was taken in by a mysterious group that owned a small dojo that practiced the “Shadow Arts”

 

His master known to him simply as Shadow the founder of the dojo found Ryth to be the most curious student. He learned the arts at almost an exponential rate unaware that his student was in fact a prodigy.  At age 15 Ryth was given the title of Master as he was said to have power almost equaled with Shadow.  For 2 years he teached newer students and was continued to be taught by Shadow has his new protege.  However when Ryth was sparring with the Shadow for the Shadow to show moves to Shadow's new disciples, when Ryth won the sparring match and shamed the Shadow in front of all his students.  And as a result was expelled from the dojo.  He was kicked out and as seen as a threat to the dojo Shadow acted accordingly to what he thought would preserve his seat of power.

They put a bounty on Ryth’s head as he fled and Ryth has been hunted by any bounty hunters that have heard of his bounty.  The bounty is high but Ryth’s skill is no joke and has escaped from all attempts of capture and assassination by killing or fleeing from his pursuers. Ryth had spent his time wandering around the continent looking for things to do and cease the relentless pursuit of his enemies.  He visited several various countries and lands witnessing and fighting many beasts of all kinds that he had never encountered.  Girls though always made Ryth uncomfortable as the only gender in his dojo was male.  Being around females made him akward so he always stuck to the shadows.

 

Then one day he happened upon a group called The Blades of Fealty on his travels, and he joined the group as something to kill time, but this group contained a great amount of strange and interesting people which may have been more then Ryth bargained for.

Relationships:

Lucifer Skytte Phadera [Lvl. 1] - Quite the interesting person, Ryth met her when in a store when looking to buy a map as to where to travel next. But as he had always been bad with girls he lost his control on his shadows and began to leak energy, however she started to laugh at him. So whenever he needed a map from then on he would go to her or sometimes just to say hi, it's still akward though

Backstory:

Born from Yggdrasil (present day call Batoto from a land called Intrordia), he was an odd ball in that dryad are all females.  Some were outrage and would plant parasites plants on his tree.  Others were amuse and with play with him till they get bored.  They would stop playing with him and shoo him away.  He trusted only Helena, whom was a mother figure to him, she did not abandon him or get bored with him.  Teach him how to use his magic. His magic was magic was much stronger than his female counterparts.  Another two were Lala & Lulu, both were  sisters and childhood friends to him, although he was older, they knew more than he did.  They taught him how to play the flute and evade Satyrs/men that would try to seduces/capture them.  Helena and Lala & Lulu, they brought him up as their sister regardless of his gender.  So all his life he consider himself as a "she" a "girl" a "female" One day, lumberjacks from Gendis came to their forest and started cutting down trees, many dryad dies that day.  His mother, Helena, was cut down, but took down many humans before the lumberjacks reach her tree and struck her down.  Luria, use his powers and summon World Tree: Yggdrasil and a flood of creatures came and kill most the lumberjacks, but those that got away took all Helena's tree pieces, but left one pieces.  Lala & Lulu fashion that piece into a flute, which he carry with him.  The Dryads that survive the day when the lumberjacks, became afraid of him  So enrage and depress at his mother’s death he did what no dryads done before, leave their tree. He left the forest.  Mother (she who rules over the Dryads) was not please thus She place a curse on him, he cannot speak.  He can talk, however it will make bring him intense pain and sufferings, but produce the most melodic voice.  Till he atones for his crime he is forbidden to return to any forests.

 

 He will not return till he found every piece of Helena, although it might not bring her back, but still should be given a proper burial. He did bring some of Helena’s pieces and left them together in the forest guarded by Lala & Lulu.  He played the flute to earn the money to buy Helena's parts and pay for information regarding to the lumberjacks and potential shipment of timbers and building materials. He travels the world in hope to gather all of Helena’s parts and Mother Earth forgiveness.  He is currently in Host Atlantic Sea to be alone, because he been told there might be a way to bring his mother back before she was hack or be about to scry her parts with the ones he found already.  Due to traveling the world he well verse in cooking and other needless skills.  He funds most of his need by playing the flute.  He joined the Blade of Fealty in hope to gather more information regarding to her mother's tree fragment and more stable income.

Cooking Skill: Vaf is a competent cook in his own right. He especially loves to make and eat fresh bread, antipasto, dried meats, jams, cheeses and fresh fruits.

 

Backstory:

 

“The Owl of Minerva takes flight at dusk.”

 

Vafhudr is a man with no discernible past on Batoto. He came from nowhere, an apparition from the wastelands, emerging from the shimmering falsehood of a hot day. He claims to be from the north – and surely enough, his disdain from warm clothing would appear to support that fact, along with his complexion. As a man from the Grand North Ocean, he also has a tendency to complain and make rude remarks about the quality of architecture.

 

He lives a rather peaceful, if somewhat unsteady life. He has a flat downtown Annuncia, where he lives rather modestly and cozily, among books and good food – what more could one ask? He can be often found sitting at one of the café, speaking with citizens or reading while drinking some bitter (though he prefers sweet) concoctions. Half of his apartment is an improvised art studio, where he particularly loves to draw. He also owns an upper floor, which is mostly devoted to his Atelier. 

 

He has a tendency to disappear and leave for abroad. His favourite destination is Sallator Cypher, where he is a regular reader and scholar for many years now. He reads widely and on all subjects available, though he can be fickle with his interest.

 

Oh, and he also happens to be one of the founding members of the Blades of Fealty, nothing short of a commander in the newly formed private army, having served with its leader, Elijah, for many, many, many years – even lives, he likes to joke – and serving more generally as the Chief of Intelligence for the organization.  Those who do not know him for his reputation as a man of learning, or as a pleasant neighbor, will know him as the Warrior of the Winds, claiming his place beside the Flame of Creation, the Mistress of Time, and the Warden of the Earth

Vafhudr is vaguely aware that Kross is a member, despite the relative smallness of the organization. He always forgets her name, but never her face. He has a good memory for faces.

Vafhudr and Kaal met for the first time quite a long time ago. Back then, The Blades of Fealty were not a thing and Vafhudr was travelling the land in search of power. He had sought out the spirits of wind called Sylphs and had ventured far into territories belonging to spirits and monsters on the mountains they call home. The mountain path was treacherous, and Vafhudr lost his footing. For a moment, he was convinced that he had wasted a completely good body due to his carelessness, but a hand reached out from nowhere, pulling him back from the back. It was a woman, stunning to behold, who had saved him from the fall. She disappeared as quickly as she had appeared, merely another observer, not unlike him.  They did not meet again until she joined the Blades of Fealty, fairly recently. She is still surrounded in much mystery, despite is knack for data and information.

Her father was the famous navigator Teodolphe Skytte that traveled the far seven seas and some places that even she doesn't know with his crew mates. When he was out adventuring he would usually leave her with her auntie Mollet who taught her to bake all sorts of sweet stuffs, yet failed at teaching her how to cook normal meals >.> oh well can't have everything can we now. 

 

Father taught her to draw and read maps when she was only 4 years old, how to tell what kinda weather is when and what makes it that way when she was 6 years old ( like the feel the moistness of the air and tell if it's gonna rain, cloud for storms, etc..) and how to sail a ship, but not any kinda old ship, a real live dragonship, The Indigo Dragon crated by time itself. There's more than one dragonship of course and to find them all is also one of Sky's goals. 

 

She lived on a very small island called Enchentori in the South Grande Ocean that could only be found by her father and his crew mates, they later nicknamed it The Lost Island because it seemed forever lost in the giant deep blue sea and remained their little heaven on earth. But her whole life couldn't remain all fun and rainbows and rabbits and chocolate and sunshine and oh sorry about that, got a little carried away heh. Well as I was saying it couldn't be wonderful forever.

 

Her father caught a deadly disease during one of his adventures and died, they didn't even say their final goodbye, or hug each other for one last time before he left. she was 8 at the time.. The only person she could depend on now was auntie Mollet that grew older and older. Four years after that she mastered her map making skills almost as good as her father, honestly it was almost as looking  into the original map itself. But she wanted to develop her skill even better and make every map there is to make. Yes that was her dream, to make every map there is to make, to mark all her wild adventures! To discover and leave her trail, to find that what has never been found!

 

One day snooping around in the attic she found a treasure map that her dad drew, it had a message written on it:

 

Dear Lucifer, wasup~ 

Heh just kiddin' with ya darlin' . Well if you' wanna go on crazy adventures ya better have some protection (both kinds hehe).

This as you can probably tell is the map of the island,  marked X is the spot were I put my precious pistols that I want you to have and a little present for ya' that you liked when you were younger.

The pistols will protect you from evil foes that want to bring you and your crew harm, so use them when needed and remember don't be afraid of dying nor killing. It's all part of life ya see.

At the X awaited her a small box containing two silver pistols, a compass necklace, The Imaginarium Geographica and what was this, some sorta game card? After touching it a small Masked Palm Civet appeared, his name was Fred, they became great friends and they decided to go on great adventures together! But wet Civet fur isn't pleasant one bit, they found that out the hard way.

 

Finally, she decided to leave home on her 14th birthday, on early sunrise she hugged auntie Mollet and sailed off into the great unknown with her pretty shit boat. She thought it would be a bit easier but experience differs from knowledge, that's for sure. She was making her way down sea, sailing fast, and she was ocean bound, making her way trough them waves~ She didn't need anyone for now, but she'll miss her auntie.~

 

Awesome adventures awaited her and her yet to be companions, she was one step closer to fulfilling her dream and becoming a badass while at it!

 

She later joined the Blades of Fealty where she befriended a lot of people that became her precious nakamas.

Backstory:

Nepenthe is a name that has endured in the legends and myths of the world for time immemorial. Some call her a witch, others a sorceress, some even call her a mage. Stories of her deeds are passed around campfires, or told to children, but many protest that no one can possibly live that long. While there are mysterious figures who have seen millennia pass them by, Nepenthe is not one of them. Because Nepenthe is not just one person-- Nepenthe is a title. It, along with the characteristic abilities and lore, has been passed down through the family for as long as human memory.

 

Currently, there are two living Nepenthes: Louise Taylor and her niece, Eleanor Hancorne.

 

Eleanor grew up comfortably, as the daughter of a successful Intrordian merchant. Style Description: Nepenthe is a classic mage, using spells of all elements to attack enemies. Spells require a small chant before casting, and getting attacked while chanting forces her to start the spell over again.

 

Nepenthe falls into a very focused state the longer she is able to stand in place and cast spells  uninterrupted. The range of area-of-effect spells increases, and the damage output of spells increases as well.

 

Style Bonuses:

• Archmage Artes - Allows Eleanor to wield the artes found in ancient tomes from times past. Their destructive power is their biggest asset.

• Pillar of Power - If Eleanor is undisturbed and does not move, her spells will gain an area of effect, or expand that area of effect each stack up to 2 stacks, allowing her to reach double area of effect with 2 stacks. On the 3rd stack, she is able to cast one additional spell, though it does not benefit from the stacks, and it's cost will not be nullified. If she moves or is struck, she loses all stacks instantly.

• Mana Reservoir - Eleanor has access to a large amount of TP. While in Pillar of Power, she will recover 1TP every post instead of every 3 posts.

 

Overlimit:

• Perfect Focus: Having achieved the highest level of concentration, Pillar of Power is no longer reset when Eleanor moves or is struck by an atack.

Cooking Skill: Anything that has sugar in it, Hawthorne can make. He has an enormous sweet tooth.

 

Backstory:

Elijah Hawthorne is a whimsical fellow, often doing whatever strikes his fancy. He rarely acts serious, preferring to hide behind a mask of smiles and laughter. Even in the face of adversity and great danger, Hawthorne responds in a laidback and casual manner. With that said, Hawthorne is hardly what one would consider a responsible person at first glance. However, just because he acts one way, it doesn’t mean he is truly like that. In reality, the actions he often performs are merely diversions that hides away his true thoughts and feelings. It makes it difficult for someone to ascertain where his true intent lies.

 

To expand further on the deceit he often pulls, one has to understand why he is quite well-known as the Silver-Tongued Weaver. Tread carefully when you hear Hawthorne speak; it is difficult to identify what is truth and what is fiction. Hawthorne is a master storyteller and can pull off even the most blatant of lies with the straightest face. But do not be mistaken, though many consider him a liar, he is quite the entertainer when he speaks about the many tales that he had weaved.

 

Interestingly, Hawthorne is rather fond of children. He will take time to help out a child in need and often volunteers to help the local orphanage or daycare center whenever he is available. In addition to his affection for little boys and girls, Hawthorne is also an aspiring novelist. He has a habit of suddenly taking out a notepad and begins to write in it whenever an idea strikes him. Unfortunately, as a writer, he also forays into the gauntlet of the romance genre; it sometimes causes him to begin fantasizing or helping people who look good together get together.

 

Oh, and he also just happens to be the grand master of the Blades of Fealty, but very few people knows that, and even less people know his face.

The Flames of Deicide is the mastered form of the Flames of Destruction and Flames of Creation, meaning Hawthorne has access to the most potent power of all time. Combine that with his devil-may-cry personality behaviour, it makes for an unpredictable combat style. Hawthorne relies on overwhelming force in all aspects of combat, while relying on tricks that debilitate or annoy his opponents. Additionally, his flames are both physical and magical in nature; his complete mastery over his powers allows him to use them swifter without losing any strength.

• Flame Trinity Artes - Allows Hawthorne to wield the Flames of Creation, Deicide and Destruction in a deadly harmony.
• Recidivist Artes - Allows Hawthorne to use his unique Recidivist Artes that combine Creation and Destruction.
• True Burn - Hawthorne's Weaver Artes will burn through defenses better than most. The enemy's M.DEF and P.DEF is added together and then divided by two when going up against his Weaver Artes.

Switcheroo [1TP]: Using his flames, Hawthorne can switch a targetable entity’s place with another.

Back Rift [xTP]: If Hawthorne absorbed an attack using Rift he can create another tear in reality to send that absorbed Arte back at any target. The cost varies depending on the Arte absorbed in Rift.

Doppelganger Squad [1TP]: Hawthorne can create three clones of himself that can be dispersed in one hit. Any attacks targeting Hawthorne will hit one of the clones instead. They can also take the attack targeting one ally or an area of effect attack. A clone defence takes another action.

Suicide Clone Unit [3TP]: For the glory of Hawthorne, three or more clones can rush at a single target or multiple targets in order to explode in a fiery blast, damaging everything caught in the radius.

Double Trouble [3TP]: Hawthorne can create a perfect clone of himself or a party member that disperses once it’s at 50% damage. The copy has the stats and all of the Artes of the original, temporarily becoming another party member.

 

Recidivist Artes

(Passive) Reave [0TP]: Hawthorne can switch between making his Recidivist Artes single-target or multi-target. TP of Recidivist Artes increased by 1 if the latter.

Eternal Burn [1TP]: Hawthorne sets a target ablaze with his flames; these flames cannot damage the target, but it can prevent health being regained in any way.

Solar Flare [1TP]: An eruption of bright fire hits the eyes of the target directly, making them blind and stunning them for a few moments.

Fiend Chains [1TP]: Chains made of fire erupts from the ground beneath the target, wrapping them up completely thus preventing complete movement.

Accursed Wisp [2TP]: Several balls of fire surround the target, latching onto to the target’s various limbs, completely lowering all of the target’s defences.

Hell Chains [2TP]: Five chains of fire erupt from the ground beneath the target, completely wrapping them up and preventing movement. Each chain that is hit and broken delivers 10% health worth of damage to the target in addition to the damage that they were hit with.

Haze of Smog [2TP]: Hawthorne releases a toxic amount of smoke at the target, poisoning and confusing them.

Blaze Venom [3TP]: A bullet of fire is shot at the target, piercing into the body. Physical and magical attack is increased by double the amount, but the target explodes in a cross of fire after three turns. Single-target only.

(Passive) The Silver-Tongued [0TP]: He can weave tall-tales on the fly, and that ability extends to how he casts spells as well. After any Weaver Arte, Hawthorne can cast two Artes for free that are 0TP.

Fire Ball [0TP]: A simple move where Hawthorne throws a small ball of fire at a target.

Sun Crescent [0TP]: Hawthorne releases a crescent of fire that damages multiple targets at once if caught in range.

Hell Mine [0TP]: A small disc of fire is set on the ground. If an enemy steps on it, a tower of fire explodes from underneath.

Flame Shield [1TP]: A kite shield made of fire appears in front of Hawthorne, absorbing magical damage into health. If struck with a melee attack, the shield absorbs the opponent, burning them, and launching them backwards in a controlled explosion.

Great Fire Ball [1TP]: Hawthorne creates a large ball of fire and lobs it at his target.

Fiery Assault [1 TP]: A sword of fire appears in front of Hawthorne’s target at mid-range, slicing them once. The sword fades and reappears behind them, swiping them once more. The sword then comes into being above the opponent and is stabbed downward.

Blaze Guard [1 TP]: Three swords of fire appear at a 45 degree angle above and in front of Hawthorne, and are launched outward, dominating both ground and air.

Infernal Pillar [2 TP]: A pillar of spinning flames erupts from below the target, engulfing them in a tower of fire that is difficult to break through.

Fire Ball Storm [2TP]: Several large balls of fire are created and each one individually strikes a target.

Lance of Ember [2TP]: A giant spear of fire appears beside Hawthorne. The spear is shot forward at the target. If a direct hit is missed, the spear disperses and a hail of fire arrows shoots from above the target.

Meteor Shower [3TP]: Fire descends from the skies to fall atop the enemy location, exploding in a fiery blast and damaging everyone unfortunate enough to be within distance.

Sun March [3TP]: A ball of fire similar to the sun is assembled, and enemy targets are sucked into the gravitation pull. The flames is then absorbed in each targets’ body and implodes.

 

Burst Artes

Basilisk of Destruction [4TP]: Hawthorne conjures the king of serpents using his flames. The bestial flame has a penetrating glare that petrifies those that can feel its presence, making them rooted where they stand. Hawthorne then forces the basilisk to engulf his targets in a raging sea of fire, thoroughly erasing them reality, leaving no evidence of their existence but ashes.

Asunder [4TP]: He rips open the very fabric of reality, engulfing his targets into the abyss of nothingness. Once trapped in the vortex of oblivion, those caught inside are plagued with unending destruction and madness. Usually, Hawthorne pities anything caught in there and releases them after a few seconds, their minds typically in shambles.

Sol Cross [4TP]: A giant cross made out of flames appears above a target, piercing the target’s body from above. The target is trapped, unable to move. The fire slowly engulfs the entire target, making them feel the hot intensity of the blaze. The cross then explodes, and the target is burned severely.
