Cassandra is a battle android developed as something of a supervisor for criminals who were released on behalf of recruitment by the military academy for the Sun Brigade. While there are multiple androids that are similar to Cassandra, she herself had been assigned to you, the prisoner, and as such, she is pretty much your personal warrior, who will fight to protect you and provide a sense of companionship, especially in an environment where it can be assumed you will be incredibly isolated.

But she’s also programmed to execute you should you break your contract, so be careful with what you order her to do.

Aurelia Ambrosius is a commander under the direct orders of Julia, the Empress of Fire, who has been something of a teacher and sister figure to you. Incredibly strict when it comes to teaching, some may say she makes a better scholar than a general, but her military knowledge cannot be denied, as she has lead the policing force of Sarkose in completely wiping out crime in her immediate district. Of course, she’s an eccentric, dressing in modified Ryuusei clothing because she finds it comfortable and drinking tea often.

But don’t worry, she’s definitely reliable, seeing as she is one of the major leaders of the Sun Brigade.

Brandon Silver is clearly a fake name for this Yilan native, but then again, everything with him is a mystery. His position as an ally or an enemy is difficult to discern, but he is the silent type. His natural charisma is interesting, because while it catches the attention of anybody who sees him, very few people are willing to follow him. Perhaps it is because of his closed personality, but if one were to try to talkt to him, what small replies he would give reveals a conflict greater than himself.

His associations are currently a mystery, but whether or not you choose to trust his words is up to you.

Nemesis – A star that was once postulated to orbit around the Sun beyond the Oort cloud, but was never proven to actually exist… until Falkner was able to form its contract. The power bestowed on him by this star makes Falkner a genuine monster, an immortal unable to die from anything, and a body that can heal any wound inflicted on it. In addition to immortality, his natural resilience and strength are levels above any normal person. He is a contradiction of what it is to be human, a sentient being in flesh selfishly living on and on like a machine.

 

History:

Though many knew of Drake and Adelina being the only two born in Corcoran, there was one other child. Orphaned at a young age with no one to take care of him, the boy grew up with no guidance, remaining nameless. He was given the name “Falkner” after the first airship he destroyed. He was a malevolent entity that stole resources to provide for himself, creating a path of destruction in his wake. How could a small boy be so capable in massive carnage? Simple, he was not an ordinary child. His contract granted him the power to be immortal backed up with the strength of a monster. No one was able to capture him because of his peculiarity.

 

Scientists from Mirtre, hearing rumours of the immortal child, formed a small group to locate Falkner. Instead of hunting him down like prey, they confronted the little boy and asked him if he liked food. Naturally, the boy answered that he did like food. The scientists offered him a deal: join them and have all of his needs taken cared of while allowing them to research his immortality or be left alone to pick up scraps. Needless to say, Falkner decided to join the scientists.

 

For a number of years, Falkner lived in relative comfort. Although confined in a single building without ever being allowed to leave the outside world, he enjoyed the lifestyle he now had. He would often get whatever he wanted if he asked, and most of his extracurricular activities were playing games or watching television. In afternoon, tests were performed on him, but Falkner never minded. He was immortal, and it was not like he was being tortured. The scientists experimenting on him were kind and gentle, acting more like foster parents than anything else.

 

However, as the project concerning him grew, the way he was treated began to change. The company sponsoring the experiment began replacing the original scientists, and began taking away the comforts Falkner had grown accustomed to. They began restraining him (a futile effort), and made him out as a lesser being. No longer treated with common dignity and human decency, Falkner no longer cared to stay in the clutches of scientists anymore. He was able to break out with ease, toppling the building that imprisoned him from its foundation, causing massive destruction as he escaped.

 

No longer without any restrictions or limits, Falkner set out to do what he always did: looking out for himself. Utilising what he had learned in the laboratory, the immortal entered society to satisfy any and all of his wanton desires, only moving to his whims and causing massive collateral damage wherever he decided to go. Numerous files and documents recorded his adventures over the course of the next five years; his potential for absolute destruction had him classified as a humanoid natural disaster, becoming the most wanted individual in the world, and with a bounty in every district.

 

When the Collapse occurred, Falkner was one of the first to be approached in joining the Sun Brigade. His legendary strength and immortality would be much needed against the machine god, Dispater, and the terrorist organisation known as Mors. However, there was a price. Falkner demanded one thing for his contribution: he wanted the rank of brigadier general.

Hence Sophie soon became known among her family and peers as a doubly blessed child. Though she has only ever noticed one effect from it, and that is her ability to jump. Alongside the increased potency of her vision so that she could see incredible distances with remarkable detail, Sophie can leap into the air to heights ranging from several thousand feet to just over forty thousand feet. Then, she descends upon her target with the tip of her spear, obliterating almost anything that might be in her path. Consider the impact to be a literal falling star of sorts.

History: Long ago in ancient days, there was a family of Knights who took to the sky just using the strength in their legs. They were called Dragoons, harbingers of destruction that lay waste to anything in their wake. So feared were they that the last great kingdoms of old banned together, and at a heavy cost so dismal that it plunged into a new Dark Age, they managed to unseat the Knights from their lofty home in the mountains. Laying waste to hundreds of years of tradition, discipline, and ambition.

Ambition to see the world unite in peace. A thought that many great kings feared, and abruptly brought an end to.

At least the had thought as much. As clever as they were, the dragoons had burrowed into the mountain, and within were the last of their line who lived quietly and eventually began to repopulate into the modern age. Though the talent is still rare, the bone rattling sonic boom of a Dragoon is said to be hear from time to time to this very day in those mountains. And it is from these mountains that Sophie hails from. Having left her family's traditional spartan home, she took up studies at a local university and is a student there to this day!

Though she did come prepared for the worst. With her family's legendary spear in her home, and her dragoon's armor to which only a few had ever seen, it were almost as if she had been sent into the town for a purpose. Though she had never been told of it, the cheerful girl waits for the right moment to reveal that the legends of the past are very much alive, and very real.

Siegfried is a legendary knight who was supposedly a part of the creation of the Stahlwelt. One could consider him the original “Angel”, who guarded the doors of the tower before any of the mechanical beings were built. Sightings have been reported, but people assume that the figure is simply a phantom, or more likely yet, an imposter. Of course, none of them could deny the lonely sight of the black swordsman with the gigantic sword on his back.

Whether or not he is the knight of legend is up to you to discover.

Monica Hansen is the daughter of the director of the military academy, and a student in the associated university. An incredibly skilled technician, her knowledge of computers and the inner workings of most devices is unparalleled in the academy. Of course, while there may be superior minds, there probably isn’t any one more brilliant in the academy than Monica. This makes her a valued member of the team, as she is probably the one of the few brilliant minds who can research whatever devices you may have captured from Mors.

Of course, she let this fact get into her head, so it might be a bit of a pain to deal with her.

I think he's going off of the idea that 1 Lv in the Stat Skills is equal to 5 points, though I'm not sure where that comes from.

It scales differently between stats, but ultimately, you treat these stats as "imaginary" numbers that somehow factor in to your abilities. So no, Liar won't be throwing punches capable of blowing up cities.

King of Heroes can throw multiple projectiles. A guy with 15 STR throwing a single weapon can't compare.

You will always be weaker than somebody with mastery over a weapon. The skill is basically allowing you to use anything as a weapon on an "expert" level, but it doesn't mean you can fight on equal footing with a guy who is actually trained in a weapon, who would be a "master" level user of the weapon. If that makes sense.

Name: Typhon

Age: 37

Gender: Male

 

Occupation: Exotic Animal Acquisitions

 

Contract: Gamma Draco (Etamin): Head of the draco constellation, representative of the Father of Monsters, Typhon the Titan. It's contract grants Typhon the ability to mold organic matter into whatever he could wish. Dead matter is easy to use, dumb animals easy as well, but anything magical can be difficult for his power to process. The natural magical aura acts like an immune system against his contract, forcing him to incapacitate anything magical that doesn't feel like having it's insides remade.

 

History: Monster. It was Typhon's first title and it will be his last. Born disfigured, Typhon's arrival was marked as an ill omen for the superstitious farmers of the Yalin district, and unfortunately for the boy, the three years following his birth marked the lowest crop yields in history. Disease, animals, everything that could possibly destroy the fields seemed to aggregate solely around Typhon's family home. His family was first to be ruined financially, but poverty began spreading like the diseases that were just as cannily killing off the crops. Each year the crops struggled, the mutterings about the strange little boy would get darker and darker.

 

After the the third year, local animal populations were high and the farmers were spending a few weeks of the early spring to thin the populations lest they ruin the crops another year. Typhon had been sent away from the house for the day while his parents joined the project, likely to have him out of the way. He didn't mind, he had a vague notion of how distrusted he was, and he had his own project. Even his parents didn't know what he was working on, but now was the best time to practice. There were so many poor dead animals, he wanted to learn how to fix them. He just didn't have it right yet, his creations were crude, unpolished. Appalling more aptly. Though he could breathe life back into the bodies, he couldn't fix them, but all he needed was more practice. It just wouldn't be done in the Yalin district. On this day, he was discovered. A farmer noticed him pilfering animal corpses and followed him to a hidden nook in the fields, where he watched a little boy mold flesh like clay and make it writhe in agonized life.

 

The farmer returned to the others in the fields, speaking of the monstrous thing he had seen. Before Typhon had left his hiding place, everyone else had come to him, equipped with their bloody tools from the days work. Typhon's memories following this are hazy, but he remembers the mob being angry and being set on fire. The rest is a blur of fear and desperation, featuring Typhon fleeing into the wilds of the Stahwelt. He barely survived, escaping death by using his power to piece himself together with animals he found. At first he was hideous, an alien patchwork of animals of the forest. He spent years roaming between the districts, preying on whatever creatures crossed his path and whatever humanoids struck his ire, using what he didn't eat to practice his power. Slowly, he learned how to mold himself a new body, a new face. As well, he practiced making his own creatures from the left over parts. Some of his creations were especially successful in the Steel Jungle, where they still roam today, horrid and devastating.

 

As he grew older he steadily increased his contact with society, working as a guide or ridding those with a bit to trade of overzealous monsters and animals. On one such occasion he was tasked with capturing the monster in question alive. He killed the monster and dragged back to the man who requested it, using his power to jolt it back to life. The man was mightily impressed and offered him work helping him and his company with their exotic animal business. At first he was hesitant, but over the years since he has done a decent amount of work for them. It's the closest thing to an occupation he might have.

Hmm.. Gil vs Saber stuff then? Masters versus versatile users of multiple weaponry?

But weapon mastery is pretty cheap, isn't it? If I were to only use around 4 type of weapon or so, wouldn't it be better to just take 4 weapon mastery skills then?

How good is a person with level 1 sword proficiency compared to somebody with level 1 knight of five honors (while using a sword)?
