this is turning into batotia city bit by bit. i'm leaving.

How is it turning into batotia city? What because of the supernatural feel to it with magic, demons and other worldly beings?

Personally, I don't feel like the war is anything like Batotia City and that they're different role plays. I like them both but if you lost interest and want to always talk about leaving then leave. Though I dont know at what part made you lose interest. You knew fromt he get go they'd be supernatural elements in the story, nothing has changed to make it seem like anything less.

I spent fifteen hours at work today because I'm apparently the only dependable person working there. Now I come back to a bunch of notifications and posts informing me we lost Vis. Wtf? Also what does "turning into batotia city" mean? Failing to mention what the actual problem is doesn't help resolve it. Based solely on arguments about the latest fight scenes (which I have not yet reached sadly) it seems like the actual problem is the issue of showing proper restraint and/or accepting the possibility of failure for your character.

 

This is meant to be a group effort. Discussions are meant to prevent confused posts, plot derailments, and mass-edits, yet for some reason it seems to be failing on all fronts. Please please please discuss things ahead of time. I know it's fun to surprise people with a plot twist but don't do it by trampling over another person's plans and/or character. These were lessons learned. Let them be used ffs.

 

And yes I recognize there is the issue of people being unable to agree upon an outcome to any particular scenario. If that's the case then DON'T USE THE DAMNED SCENARIO. Hold off on it, ask for a second opinion from a mutually trusted source, have some kind of "fine, but I get the next one" arrangement, WHATEVER! But for the love of god don't get into a REAL fight over a FAKE fight.

 

Now I've had a VERY long day and I'm all of six hours away from the next one so please pardon my aggression here and try to sift out my message through the anger. Goodnight.

I guess the main problem with fight scenes is when people play to win.

IMO fights are there for character and relationship development.

 

asskicking is good too, but not when it goes to excessive invulnerability.

you have to choose your battles to win the war, ne?

Sorry if I'm asking obvious questions or making you feel like you're repeating yourself or something. I just wanted to be certain on the length around the time you were the active ruler of hell before letting Satan have it.

you could say i started losing interest around 8-9000 years ago. from 7000 years ago i started visiting the human world frequently, but only started staying too long at a time 4000 year ago. so when i'd been gone for over 300 years once, satan saw his chance to snatch the throne. and i don't really mind him looking after it for me, it's better than utter chaos. since that, i've just been traveling. around the world and universe and hell. nice to have a holiday, go sightseeing. i have my own castle in hell as well. not the king's castle, but just a nice home. haven't been there to often since i settled in the city, 2-300 years ago. but i have to look after that place at least, it's a convenient place to connect my portal to.

 

Okay, i guess my character and his little damsel would have to go to that motel. Don't want anyone that is related to Taka start blowing up all my stuff because my character "Betrayed" them. 

i'm not like maia...

 

What's the Byoureigumi all about? Are they good, bad, or neutral?

Also, what's up with the other clans/groups?

Byoureigumi is Taka's yakuza clan, one of the two factions that leads the current war (the other one being The Nobodies, led by Maia-san at the moment)

They deals with shady business from time to time, and seems to rule a huge portion of the city through money and power.

There are no good/bad in a war, but subjectively speaking, I'd say Byoureigumi is the more sinister side compared to the nobodies.

i think my group is at least 150 years old in the city. i've been here much longer than that, but i didn't see a point forming a group of criminals until the city started growing properly.

it's just turning into a long drawn, hopeless, static charade. it's been 3 months since it started, and i have yet to have the chance to develop my character.

flashbacks fall flat and on deaf ears. the plot is either overly tight or runs like a train on rocks. it's just an unfathomably pointless endeavor, in my opinion.

i can't unfollow topics on my phone, but i'll be doing just that when i get back to hong kong. i don't intend on prolonging this horrid trip any longer.

i'm pretty sure this city has been a center of trade in the region for quite some time. not a capital in any country, that would take too much tweaking of world history, but there are many big cities that have existed for far more than just a thousand years. wouldn't be weird if people have lived in this place since medieval times at least. i first visited this place nearly 300 years ago, and decided to settle not long after.

If you're tired of all the happenings in this RP you can always try Late's "Blades Of Fealty", That RP is more controlled and there wont be a shit load of supernatural shit like in this or the other RP. There's just magic and the rest is merely more normal. Kind of like Final Fantasy in a way.

i'm sorry. i think neither me nor orino planned things to become like this, it just kinda happened. still more organized than the old war, but a little too much in our old characters. i think we've had a few family fights that didn't get anywhere because none of us wanted to be the first to obliterate this universe, while the war was more of a long series of backstabbing.

you don't have to participate if you don't want to. if you got away from geo, i'll accept you going on a holiday. if you're away for two in-game weeks, that should be enough to avoid the end of the world.
