I'm glad there are rejections. As much as I love reading about crushes that work out, I also like reading about people being rejected and moving on with their lives

But my main takeaway from this chapter is WOW those chocolates look good. And are expensive. I want some..............

Why are you even reading Gender Bender?

I say "finally", because to me, it's been coming for a looooooong time. I say "finally", because it means progress, which in this manga is slow, at least from my perspective. But I never said which gender I'd like them to stay, or that I dislike them changing constantly. I simply dislike the changes namely depending on weather but rather than seeming erratic like say, the timings of downpours more or less are irl. Instead here, they are very calculated plot devices, which just makes it all make even less sense and takes a lot of my enjoyment out of it. See, I am and have been mostly bored here (while still liking it enough to wait for and enjoy the good bits here and there) because nothing ever goes anywhere, and there is no drama to mention, which amplifies the effect of "floating" that characterize Hazuki the most, but others as well. Just stop and think for a second, what in their life is different compared to, say, chapter 5? A couple presents, a couple memories, not much else, except for the two who have stopped changing: they have future plans and love now. Well, you can challenge me about this all you want, I'm all for convo.

Finally, I am reading gender bender because I generally like the tag. Simple.

Every time this gets updated, I'm like, "Man, I don't even remember what was going on when it last updated. Let me just read back through all of it right quick."

 

Then I get distracted by something halfway through and never finish. It makes me sad.

I'm kind of pissed with this development.  All because he's focusing on the rejection he wanted to give, he's been ignoring the person who he loves...

It probably would have been in bad taste to text him "Sorry, I can't make it" or "I can't accept your confession," but it's even worse just to leave him there for an hour...
