I started this out as a comment but It got so long I thought I might as well make a new topic specifically for the discussion of the untranslated volumes.

 

My first comment for context:

Predictable end game ship, but I'm disappointed. Especially since Bikke has drawn other BL mangas, I was hoping for some BL. It was still very cute this way, though.

 

I can post more details if anyone wants. I haven't really seen anyone to talk with about the end ): (understandably, since it's hard to find raws)

 

 

 

I'm including details starting from the first untranslated chapter, assuming not everyone has read any raws

I'm seriously a total amateur at Japanese so feel free to take my summaries with a grain of salt.

 

Plot regarding transformations and Haru:

It becomes apparent that the "cure" is to confess to the person they like, and to listen to their answer (whether it's a rejection or not). At least one of them was cured while it was still raining, and immediately transformed into a boy, so apparently it does not leave them permanently a girl if they are cured as a girl like I thought it might.

I couldn't really figure out what was happening with Haru. He was obviously "Haruko" at some point but I'm not sure if he started out as a girl or as a boy or what the deal with him was. I'm not sure if him and Jouji are a thing. I'm just waiting for the scanlations for all this

 

The ending Ships (Briefly):

Maki confessed to Ryouko and it was mutual

Gorou confessed to Sakurako and got rejected

Madoka confessed (I think) to his fiance and it was mutual

Touma confessed to Hazuki and got rejected 

Hazuki confessed to Asumi and it was mutual

 

Details about the romances involving Hazuki: 

A lot happens... but I'm gonna TRY to summarize it so it's not super long

Asumi tells Ryouchou she suspects he likes Tsukiko (maybe making him realize his feelings?)

Asumi and Hazuki go on successful date, Touma mopes about it when Hazuki tells him

Rains on girls school festival so they go. Because Asumi's still on shift, Ryouchou and Tsukiko spend some time together without Asumi. Ryouchou feels out of place cause its all girls there and Tsukiko just showers him with compliments lol.

 

There are 2 days for the boys festival. The first day it rains, the second day it does not. Tsukiko watches Ryouchou play the piano (backstage) while the student council does their play. At the end he confesses to Tsukiko and asks for her to answer tomorrow at 2 oclock.

The next day, Hazuki is walking around with Asumi but he worries and stresses THE WHOLE TIME about the meeting with Ryouchou that he can't make it to. He's always checking the time even tho he can't make it. Asumi sees he's distracted all day and gets kind of upset.

 

Hazuki continues to be distracted about the Ryouchou thing for days. One day it rains and Maki doesn't transform and Hazuki decides to go tell Ryouchou how he feels even though it's already late at night. He walks up to the dorm as Tsukiko and asks for Houjou. They go outside since there's other people in the lobby, Tsukiko tells him that the confession made her really happy but she can't accept it sorry. He accepts the rejection (like, he's not really upset). His parting words to her before she leaves are "every time we meet, it's always been raining" and then he never sees tsukiko again.

 

A lot of time passes here, but I'm gonna skip forward. They've figured out the cure and everyone but Touma and Hazuki are back to normal. Touma confesses to Hazuki and Hazuki is really surprised.

Not too long later (but not the same day) while it's raining, Hazuki rejects him kind of the same way he rejected Houjo, and Touma immediately transforms into a boy.

 

Tsukiko tell Asumi that she's moving away or something so she won't be going to the school anymore. Hazuki asks Asumi out and confesses to her when they meet, and she immediately replies that she likes him too. In his mind he says goodbye to Tsukiko. 

 

Ok some final notes, durning all this there are some sub plots where Ryouchou makes plans to move back home and quit being Ryouchou so he can play piano, I think he kind of talked it out with his dad. And Touma mets up with his dad and talks to him and stuff too. He seemed to not like his dad at first but in the end I think he went to either visit or move in with him in France so ? Anyway they both seem pretty content with being rejected..

 

Whew ok that was long. Now some of my thoughts! Because I have a lot, and no one to share them with

I was shipping Ryouchou/Tsukiko(or Hazuki) the WHOLE time... I'm glad Ryouchou confessed and they had a lot of super cute moments, but.. bwah. In my heart I knew it would be too complicated to work, especially since "Tsukiko" doesn't exist and Ryouchou is indifferent toward Hazuki. I was really hoping to see the drama from Ryouchou finding out that Tsukiko is Hazuki and like.. just the "mind=blown" moment when he realizes he's in love with someone he knows as someone else, who is living a double life. And like, him asking himself if he still loves her (him) after that, because after all, it's the same person. Although I was also afraid he would get seriously angry because Hazuki hung out with his little sister all the time secretly, as a girl. 

 

AND, I thought Hazuki was enjoying being a girl and he might like to stay that way. But it turns out he still wanted to be a boy but he appreciated the experience.. He really did seem the most open to it.

 

One thing that bothers me is like... lets say Hazuki and Asumi never break up and they get married. Is Hazuki ever going to tell her the truth? or is he just going to deal with the fact he's been lying to her for YEARS, the person who should be the closest to him? How would she even react? She'd have to find out eventually because she'd mention it to his family members... And then once she finds out, would she tell her brother??? THEN WHAT WOULD HE THINK??? What if Asumi breaks up with him because she finds out anD THEN THE BROTHER GETS ON THAT (shipper delusions)

 

pls cruel world... i need fanfics... but there are none yet ;-; except one in french and i donT KNOW FRENCH

 

If anyone has any questions I'd be glad to answer. I didn't describe EVERYthing that happens because it would be really, really long. And because Hazuki's relationships was my #1 concern. I can take photos of specific scenes anyone wants to see, but I can't scan every page and give complete raws. 

 

I'd love to see other peoples opinions on the untranslated stuff

Well, my thoughts;

OMG I WANT THE SAME THING--about the dorm head's 'mind=blown drama'. Like, it just must be there.

And yeah, I ship them too, the dorm head and Tsukiko, I mean. I really can't wait to see the sweet moments myself. Although, yes, I need someone to make a fanfic about them being a couple--rather that Hazuki ended up with Asumi. Because, when they first met, I already set my mind to ship them really hard. Maybe I just give too much hope to them because of Bikke's piece of work usually got that 'shonen-ai flavour'.

 

And, the other pair that I desprately want to know is about Sakurako and Asumi. After they kissed, things must be awkward-ish and I really want to know what happen to their relationship after that. And really, I don't mind yuri if it can make the dorm head ended up with Tsukiko  (HA.).

 

For me, this story is just wonderful. It's like mixing straight, shounen-ai and shoujo-ai in one manga but didn't lose the story meaning. And how the ship flow is just right (until the last translated chapter, because I haven't read the rest), it's just lovely. I'd love this story even more if the 'knowing the cure' part is not rushed and feels right, but I don't know about that for now. Can't wait to read the rest!

 

Ah yes, If you don't mind, I'd like to see any RyouchouTsukiko moment that you think the sweetest, please.

omg i knooow. I'm so disappointed that the secret was never revealed to ANYONE. And now that they're all cured no one will believe them lol.

 

Ryouchou and Tsukiko/Hazuki gives me life. It's most of the reason I even wanted to buy the rest of the volumes (def still worth it even if it didn't end up canon). I wish I could write fanfic with my IDEAS but whenever i write like that i get impatient and bored and distracted. I'll just have to hope it gets more attention when the translation is finished or something

 

There wasn't a lot of scenes about Asumi and Sakurako and I didn't really translate it while I was reading, but it kind of seemed like Asumi gently rejected her and they remained friends. There was so much potential for non-hetero ships all over this manga but then not a single one was fruitful (sigh).

 

I think when it's translated you will be satisfied with the flow of the story. It continues to go at a natural feeling progress. The time between the last translated chapter and the final chapter is something like half a year

 

Ah yes, If you don't mind, I'd like to see any RyouchouTsukiko moment that you think the sweetest, please.  

Sure thing! All of the Ryouchou Tsukiko moments I like is.... All of them! Haha sorry I went a little wild with it. I included some Asumi Sakurako scenes so you can see for yourself how they act after that, too.

SUCH EMOTION-- *screaming intensifies*
I mean, when Ryouchou blushed in the piano scene and Tsukiko too after he confessed is just, damn.
When they both meet each other when they're both boys, it's just painful. Really painful.
Like, I want to get in to the story and scream the reality to Ryouchou. So that if he can accept it, maybe they can be together?
Well, looks like it's just my fantasy in the end *cries inside*
