Well, gee manga, I know the Monomyth, the Hero's Journey ends where it starts -- but the peeps have to change. Having all of that character-development flushed down the toilet for a quick buck of a joke where the cast does "the old comedy routine hoohoo!" is just shitting in my mouth, and I'm not into coprophilia.
That's not how catharsis works, neither does it give any closure. It's merely an artificial sense of security which brings about nothing but lament that the entire journey was pretty much pointless.
(If that guy's personality didn't change, they'll just break off after 6 months or less. Unless the girl has immense daddy-issues for the want of an emotionally unavailable punk...But that's a whole different tragedy story.)

Welp, this manga was amusing for what it was. I wouldn't say it's bad or good. Just "meh".

She also made alusions to the fact that she was a virgin - meaning her virginty has got something to do with stopping the metamorphosis.The two of them are asleep after they do it - implying they probably tired themselves out.

I'm not sure why. Even though everything is resolved, I feel like the ending is too shallow and could go more in depth.

In my opinion, it's not a good ending, but it definitely is not a bad one. It's still way better than an axed ending.

 

Anyway, I truly enjoyed the series, and I believe a good series is a series ends when it needs to end, especially after the main plot and no elongation.

That said, I never found this to be a good series at all. It really felt like the author was leading up to something bigger only to fall back on immature "girls are weirddddddd" jokes.

I agree with you completely.  I'm glad it's finished, and on the whole I liked the characters and story, but it just went to a place I didn't like near the end and it's hard to wash the taste of it out of my mouth just with that ending.    Plus I was expecting some more hidden secrets as to why they were confining these girls.  Like using them as mecha fighters or something.  But nope.

Well, considering the mag it was published in, that's not an entirely surprising ending. Nor was it really unsatisfying, IMO.
