I don't think he needs to learn anything... I think he lives off of the tears and frustrations generated from each hiatus he creates. And he's perfected the technique of writing something good to really dig deep before going in for the kill. Truly a master of his craft... unfortunately for us.
He actually wrote the thing, he was a Novel/LN author before he partnered up with artists for adaptations and original works.
The actual ending to the novel is actually fun if you like suffering.

So IDY didn't write the original story, it all makes sense now, I was wondering why it hadn't train wrecked yet as most of his stuff does.
Damn, this story is incredible. What a great cast. I wish the author would pour more into this series than Freezing, its so, so, so much better x.x
Lol, sorry to bring your hopes up guys. You can expect more updates in the future considering we still plan on releasing volumes 12 and 13.
In case you're wondering "why, it has been translated already??" well:
- We have been scanlating Maian since the beginning and don't want to leave anything out
- A lot of people have donated on our site in order for us to scanlate it
- We already have bought the RAWs
So yeah, that's the story.. sorry for the 'trolling' XD.

It's an adaptation of a novel series. Both the novels and the manhwa are apparently based off an earlier set of novels and manhwa called Pit Aelia. I've heard Pit Aelia is darker in tone than the Legend of Maian, with a tragic ending. I'm not entirely sure about the darker/tragic part, as info on Pit Aelia doesn't come up easily in a Google search. I'm just relying on comments I've seen people make about it.

if i knew japanese or korean I would go piss off the author to finish freezing and comeback with this history. I never wanted so much to see an antagonist getting his ass handled.
