Cavalier of the Abyss

You got a quite a few things pretty backwards:

1. The Night refers to Earth, The Nightclan to Earth's inhabitants, in other words, Humans. The Night was conquered by Kaladbog, who fled Chaos. And Serin never had any blood ties with Earth. The exact reason Nex imprisoned her is unclear, but it appears to be a mix of paranoia, yandere like obsession and hatred, caused by the events so far. Basically, he, at some point, just... broke.

2. The giant platform (called Abyss) falling down was not the Magnicax. During the Magnicax, Depore was supposed to have lost a large chunk of her powers, vast areas of Earth and Chaos were destroyed, the Nightclan became able to corrupt Chaos (appears to be a passive ability) and Serin, currently pregnant, "betrayed" Nex, inflicting a large wound on his back that never fully healed, despite him being an immortal undead. None of which were shown yet.

3. Xix and Siana are, in fact, siblings. The pendant refers to magic stone Semek (something akin to Depore), which Serin was in possession of.

4. Siana did not corrupt her home village. That was Kaladbog, who stumbled upon Siana during his flight from Nex. Though Siana was immune to the corruption (thanks to her fathers, Nex's, origin in the Night) and blamed herself for the indiscriminate purge of her village. By the way, the purge was done to prevent the corruption from spreading.

5. Ninurrita is confirmed to be Iffrata's child. However, it is unclear who the father is. While Iffrata did claim her first child to be her cousins, it's unclear whether she actually kept her word. Also, Just unlocking the royal seal, with the blood he previously obtained from Ninurrita, also suggests that the father might be Nex. The real question is what the book actually meant by "Nex only has one son".

Seriously, are the action scenes all you focus on!?

It's pretty damn obvious isn't it? After the end of the 1st series a few years had passed. Chaos (the world this takes place in) was falling apart, but Serin helped keep it intact, in the years that passed Jae Hyuk(The Regis) forgave Serin for bringing his brother into Chaos, he also met Iffrita, Iffrita fell madly in love with Nex , however, Jae's brother, still being possessed by Kaladbolg, a powerful "god" of the Night Clan, ended up destroying chaos, this event is called the Magnanix, in this event, the platforms that held up the great tower that you see in the 1st series fell down and destroyed a huge part of chaos, killing countless people, but Serin managed to keep the casualties to a minimum by making Jae Hyuk into the "Immortal King" and changing his name into a Chaos name -  Regis(meaning King) Nex, Thus he was the Immortal Regis, he then proposed to Serin, however, Iffirta becoming extremely Jealous and therefore bitter became twisted, she became pregnant with her cousins Child, whom is Ninurrita. However, at some point Nex sealed away Kaladbolg's powers, most of it anyway and Serin became pregnant...now the question here is, was she pregnant with Twins or with only Siana, it's confirmed that Siana is Serins daughter(Serin being a half demon and half night clansmen), but not if Xix, since when Xix's mother left him in the village, she left him with a pendant that supposedly belongs to the Night clan...but why would Serin leave his son in the midst of normal humans(do the normal people of chaos qualify as humans?), but Siana with a forest witch and only a few miles apart from each other, if she was trying to seperate them, she did a crappy job...back to the point, I presume that Nex imprisoned Serin because of her Night clan blood, after Serin was imprisoned, Nex married Iffrita, Iffrita however cheated on Nex with her cousin and gave birth to Ninurrita(this would mean that Xix and/or Siana are at least a year older then Nin), some years later however she gave birth to Nex's daughter Mithra. When Siana was younger, her night powers went out of control, corrupting Xix's entire village, Nex sent out the hunters who killed everybody in the village, including Xix, piercing out his heart, Xix however did not die, but became an Undead, much like Nex, he went berserk and attacked Siana, he ripped out her heart and replaced his own....which is one way Xix could have gotten Nex's bloodline within himself if not by birth, after regaining his sanity he fell unconscious, the dying Siana was found by Jae's brother, unknown whether still influenced by Kaladbolg, seeing as his thirst for carnage has subsided, after the incident, Xix woke up, not remembering his own death or rampage thought that the hunters killed everyone and swore revenge on Nex, thus he found the crow and entered into a contract with one of his demons, and the following is what you read from this manhwa.

@deepbloodeclipse Thanks for that little summary it helps piece things together a bit since I haven't read this series in a while, though I think ill read the prequel again since it really has been a loooong time since I've read either of these and I only remember some things.

The prequel was a bit easier to follow. I liked it. Anyone else not know what the hell is going on here?

considering everything, Jae Hyuk's circumstances are really sad...for him to be broken to the point of shouldering everything on his own and taking the hardest path out.

I'm so damn confused.... Read Immortal Regis and then started Cavalier of the Abyss. Hopefully the story connects soon . Can't you at least insert a summary of what happened between the two series at the beginning of chapter 1 to help us out or something (@ the author).

Keep reading, it happened to all of us, but the story will be explained as you read. I think arround charapter 30 there is a flashback which shows what happened after the end of season 1.

Also, if you go to mangacow´s page you will find more charapters, they are not very fast releasing this manhwa (dunno why, the raws are on the internet) but right now last charapter is the number 79.

I love the art style, but this manhwa is barely coherent.

So many new characters and no stable platform for us to even pick a side to root for...

This manwha... I can't say i have any characters i like anymore. And i do agree with alot of other people that is just way too messy plot. I'm no longer motivated to read the end. Perhaps one day I'll appreciate the storytelling but for now the filler is a complete buzz kill. Pretty much I spent most of time waiting for read more about nex. the shift in MC was rly bad at the beginning but i came to like nex more and more again after i just had no fucking idea what at the beginning the transition from immortal regis to to cavalier couldnt have been worse.

I still dont buy the whole serin betraying nex he locking her up no matter how evil he turned he wouldnt do that to her out of spite. I also love nex' intereaction with caladbolg its so sad yet kinda cute
