Because they only read the manga. Most manga based on LN or WB are pretty crappy, they cut too much on details. If you want the story you have to read the LN, or at least the synopsis 

this one is doing quite fine. but it took them like eight manga volumes to cover three out of now thirteen light novels.

In the LN is explained that the combat dress is materialized by the Diva and should be the optimal wear to access it's power... so yeah, fanservice.

Furthermore magic power, because it's being influenced by the mind and feelings, renders contraception useless. So either the MC restrain himself, or he's boned

It's almost too funny how past volume 4 or 3 Kazuki just pushes his finger up the ass of this review.

This series would have been infinitely better with a MC that was a well devleoped character, instead of being a bland self insert. Hes pretty much cardboard instead of an actual human being. 36 chapters in, and most readers simply do not care about the MC. He could die and 99% of readers would not give a shit. His goals, his friends, his troubles, all of them are pretty much irrelevant and undeveloped, because the series is only about scantily clad girls.

 

I am pretty sure most readers dont even bother reading anything that comes out of his mouth because, honestly, who cares? Its pretty much the standard harem MC drivel.

I cant even remember what his motivation was supposed to be. Something to do about harmony between swordsmanship and magic or something? It is THAT irrelevant.

 

Most of the girls also have no memorable character traits other than their appearance and near to zero character development other than "this one is a tsundere, this one is the childhood friend, this one is a incestous slut, etc". The swordmanship faculty that wanted to prove they were the equal of the magic faculty is actually better written and I can sympathize with them. Meanwhile, who even remembers what's Kaguya's deal supposed to be? What are her goals/aspirations other than to be the strongest or live up to the family name? At least you can rememeber that Lotte is an outcast that hasnt had a normal life and just wants to survive. You can sympathize with her because she's not even familiar with the concept of friends.

 

It would also have been better if some effort was used to make the premise less retarded. For example, instead of seducing dozens of girls, it would have been better if it was "get their spirits to acknowledge him" or some such. MC would still need to get close to the girls obviously, but at least the premise would sound less retarded (which is actually important, as you dont want readers facepalming and laughing while trying to read your work).

 

Its like the difference between the synopsis of Twilight....and what the synopsis would be like if the author didnt give a shit and just wrote a few lines about how this was about her mary sue self insert fantasy.

 

The character designs and art is really wasted on a shitty author like this. Honestly, i've literally read fanfiction that was better written than this. Zero effort was put into this other than the art. Even Twilight and Eragon had more effort put into them than this, and yes, they are both better written than this. The storyline is a complete mess that shows zero planning other than "okay we need some action scenes for this arc, some ecchi scenes for this arc, so lets come up with some shitty excuse to string them all together".

I think what they refer to as "friends" means "true friends". A person can easily make friends but not true friends. At most, maybe a person can have less than 10 true friends in his/her lifetime. But a person can have many lovers because being a lover doesn't also mean being a true friend. Because if you consider your lover as a true friend, then most probably you will not look for another lover besides that person. So this statement is not ridiculous at all. It's just that you interpreted it literally.
