Well, this one is a real "Ataru" (Is this one right?? i forgot his twin brother's name, what is it again??). A creative and fun guy who can almost deal any problem. Even "Yuuma" himself admited it that his older brother is better than him...xD

I can't wait for next week. Is it the same like dark past trial in real account before??? xD

whole world, really? we all know japan's closed-door policy past which affected how the people built their culture; solely around themselves. while the whole world uses youtube, facebook etc, they have their own medium like niconico, and mixi respectively. (china and some other countries use their own version too) now tell me, have you even tried visiting those sites?

I did hear about the ISIS thing. And that's just two people getting dragged into a regular terrorist situation, but I heard about it anyway. Here we have 10,000 people getting transported into some "cyberspace", hundreds are dying on the villain's whim and nobody seems to have the slightest idea how to stop him. It could as well be an alien invasion. Who could possibly ignore that just because it's happening abroad? No way they could, nor could Japan keep it down.

I'm assuming foreigners aren't posting simply because re-aca has closed registrations (and while it's mighty suspicious they aren't crumbling under pressure right now, closing registrations sounds like a reasonable safety measure). But forget "the whole world", it's not even "all of Japan" that's posting here. Just a weirdly desensitized segment. I'm a 4chan regular, but if I saw a real girl trapped in a cyberspace survival game, no matter how cute/hot/funny she may be, my reaction would be Holy shit she's trapped in a cyberspace survival game.

chapter 4 was weird. the whole concept was off. i mean if you think about it, the whole world should be watching them since it is a major international terrorist attack. viewers should have skyrocketed from the very beginning. all these comments are just weird and way too trollish for it to actually be real. comments should be more like "HOLY SHIIT ARE THEY REALLY TRAPPED IN THERE?" or "OMG WOW THIS IS INSANE". if the outside world knows they only need 100 viewers wouldn't they gather supporters to insure they're victory?

I think this is alternative route that the author set up where Yuuma has a (not so loyal) girlfriend instead of a sister.

it's more of a alternative which will most likely lead up to a point where their paths meet.

Nope. There's only 1 out of 260 RA users continues with this game routine. I think this is a safe number to account of people who still follow the game for whatever reasons they may have.

What if viewers are split into groups like the players? There were multiple games going on at the same time and you can't broadcast all of them everywhere at the same time.

There were originally 10,000 contestants of which 5341 had at least one follower. The 5341 people were split into groups of 300 for the first game, meaning there were around 18 games happening simultaneously. If you split 5,000,000 viewers among 18 games, you'd expect groups of around 277,778, but the one we saw had 18,231. Which would mean participation is at around 6.56%, or 1 in 15. But they likely numbered the 10,000 initial contestants, not the 5341 survivors which more or less doubles the figures. 34 games, maximum average participation goes down to 147059 voters per game and the 18,231 makes it 12.4% of that, or 1 voter in 8 users.

So that's the votes. As for the joking comments, my best guess is just that Marble is hand-picking them somehow. Maybe the developers at Real Account were working on an anti-troll filter, but then they realized it's better in reverse. Or maybe it's just more cybermagic.

But anyway, I wasn't only talking about the voters. The masses inside re-aca lose their shit every time Marble does something crazy, but minutes later they look anxious at worst. Then they start joking around and ogling girls and so on until Marble reminds them again that it's a matter of life and death (mostly death). I can only imagine a mass of people in such an absurd situation would go wild and out of control and if Marble managed to intimidate them into participating, they'd do it with completely broken spirits. At best they might rally around a few extremely charismatic leaders or something, but I don't see a crowd of random people just chilling down like that.

I think they should do a comedy sketch livestream. They are a perfect tsukkomi couple.

Man, if someone like me were forced to improv on stream like in this chapter, I would be attentive to the watchers' questions while also trying to rally a real counterterrorist effort against Marble. He wouldn't be able to control the panic as I take his ass down with me.

Assuming I even had 1 person to follow me by that point. But they'd have to be as crazy as me to put their life on the line for a schmuck like myself, and I wouldn't be upset if they saved themselves.

Do note that the twitter trolls are extremely unlikely to suffer any consequences while Marble has apparently killed people on- and offline, This situation is far worse and far weirder. I have to agree people in this manga are really stretching my suspension of disbelief. Sometimes there's fear or outrage, other times they just go with the flow or even find it interesting. All of these behaviours really do pop up, sure, but the big picture here is fucked. The ratio of people taking this seriously or not always feels way off and it shifts in weird ways. And anyway, it's odd that so many commenters are acting in such familiar ways when the situation is so completely unfamiliar. I'm really not getting a sense of what's going on offline right now. It's just individual behavioural patterns showing up wherever the author needs them.
