I don't want to argue anything I just want to state my option.

 

I don't think HEAVEN have INTERNET. So It will be way too boring, more like it was HELL for me (because I'm an Otaku not normal people to enjoy heaven scenary and live there eternal.)

Imagining you can live freely, your food, your meal and everything will be take care of (not even need to working) but you can't use the INTERNET, you will sleep, wake up, walk around, sit and lay down when you're tired watching the sky or heaven scenary. Do you still think that was HEAVEN ?

you don't need to worry there. while if it was an eternal heaven fixed in appearance since it's creation then sure it would be hell to most people nowadays, however the stronger belief is that heaven is relevant to the person and their origins. so it will be 'your personal heaven' "shared" instead of a communal one ;P

Then if everyone die now it would be : less than ~6.5% 21 century aware approximatively ~6 % industrial era century aware  (adult not kiddo born but already dead)

Demographics approximatively with their hypothese with 108 billion add the "perhaps 500 infant deaths per 1,000 births, or even higher."

 

This argument will press the : "Hey i have made 14 baby in my life, but 7 are already dead, 3 kid to sickness, 1 die adult to war and 3 die old." And still count 14

 

So more than 30% people from heaven are baby dead so i can assume they can't argue against modernity due to their poor education.

And then i can say they won't stay with the medieval poop pot and got to use modern WC.

That's one more reason why I like reincarnation over the idea of heaven & hell.

 

no matter how many people existed, probably only 1 in 10 would qualify to enter heaven and even then it would end up overcrowded. the same situation if not even worse for hell, no matter how many layers it has.

 

with reincarnation you don't have to worry about holding onto numbers just wipe their memories, reset the soul and shoot them back into the world as newborns (species not restricting) xD

It's your logic that makes no sense. Religious beliefs most often (especially Christianity) is based on scriptures and they represent everlasting timeless spaces.

Her logic makes no sense.  Assuming that God didn't do anything to update Heaven, wouldn't the people who live there update it?

 

Once the creator of a tech dies, he brings his knowledge with him.  It would be (at worst) a generation behind, and more likely only a few years to a decade behind Earth.  (The creators of a tech/idea don't have to die, just the users/students who studied it.)

 

Granted, yes, this is assuming Heaven has the same sort of Universe physics as Earth, but even if it did not, with enough human capital, I don't see how the world of modern technology wouldn't be eventually recreated...

Me too. But i'm pretty sure they'll introduce a boy in the story to turn her form badass to lameass cliche'd girl in love. Which is a pity... Who was the genius to decide that we can't have a female badass who stays single? All of them end up turning out to be just another normal girl, down the road.

You can use wikipedia and add all population before 1800 you won't go to 7 billion. So Heaven should be at least at steampunk era for the minimum.

Her logic that either God has to update Heaven, or that God has to pay attention to Earth in order to maintain "modern" levels of technology is flawed.

 

Either the people themselves could bring the knowledge with them to update Heaven, or they have the power to will technology into existence (in order to fulfill their every need.)

 

It also assumes that technology in Heaven is behind that of Earth.

Looks potentially promising. Though I am a bit annoyed by the trope of having smart people wear glasses (have glasses myself). Seems to me like trying to have a single piece of clothing identify someone as a person. Weird, but for some reason accepted.

Jormungand, XXXholic (Yuko*), Spirited away, Nausicaä. If we include other form of media than only Anime and manga, there would be many more. 

   I agree that there sadly are not as many female leads, single or paired, as male. But they do exist. And here is hoping for more to come.

You forgot damn near every female character from Black Lagoon who all epitomize the idea of being a "Badass".  Let's see...

 

There is Revy "Two Hands" Lee, Balalaika of Hotel Moscow, the Lovelace family maids Roberta and Fabiola, and both Sister Eda and Mother Superior Yolanda from the Ripoff Church, not to mention some minor badass female characters like Shenhua the Chinglish assassin and Sawyer the Cleaner.
