The art is nice and the story interesting
Btw, it would be nice if you went on the Tapastic site ans read the series there too, it is always nice to support the artist!
Maaan... this took way too much time for the 2nd chapter, i totally forgot about this
But anyhow :
it seems like the images are compressed down from higher resolution. Is it possible to upload the HQ if you have those ? Overall it seems good for now, but the MC seems rather meek, although this leaves space for character development, with such slow releases it will be PITA for the readers to remember what happened in the last chapters.
I hope the kid IS the main character - stories that start with the strong are only fun if the story is about them breaking.
PS: Change to right to left, it's confusing, especially since the artwork LOOKS japanese..
gotta say, for self published this is far beyond some fanfiction plot done in mspaint like most people assume SP stuff to be. I'm quite enjoying it
For something like amateur job , this seems amazing. The art is cool , the story - still not enough chapters. The pages per chapter - for a first one , they are quite low actually. And the size of the pages seems a bit smaller than usual.
I've always felt that starting a character as a complete weakling is a rather artificial way to force character development, and it is usually too tedious for me to stick around. However, as a self-published work, this has piqued my interest. The art is fluid, the facial expressions and stylistic depictions are very expressive, even if some stick out from the rest of the style. There's obviously not much of a story yet, but considering this has been classed seinen, I have good hopes it will present something more than linear progression from battle to battle.
As an aside, I suggest that you put your personal introduction as an afterword, not a foreword, so that people may read this with less bias.
It's definitely too early to rate, but speaking of the artwork, seems balanced and follow the basic proportion properly.
Also I would like to add that the character blend perfectly with the background wich is something worthy of note considering that is self published.
I would end saying that I will look forward to see more hoping that the characters will not turn out to have stereotypical personalities.
Keep up with the good work!
and good luck
Well. I won't say much in terms of storyline, artwork, character, or anything along those lines. It's a bit too early to do any of that, and I'm sure my fellow colleagues of the internet will get to that.
Nor do I feel that I am particularly qualified to say what I'm about to say, but nonetheless, I feel that it is something that needs to be said. I want to congratulate you for the courage you are showing in self-publishing a piece on the internet, for all to see and critique. I think that regardless of the quality of your content compared to anyone elses', it's a big step forward for any artist to put his work on public display.
I hope that this experience will be a fulfilling one for you, and that it may bring you ever closer to your dream. I myself will follow closely.
