This.. actually felt like when a good manga is ending. Characters we love will freeze in an end frame and we'll keep on going with our lives imagining that their adventures are still going in a happy ever after mode. Grumpy, you're just like the character of a manga I've followed for years. I don't know you in real life, so for me you're this fictional hero that will still break legs even after ending credits roll. Same with others I've 'met' on the community. Admins, contributors, and fellow potatoes, we're all cool characters on each own's manga. Thanks for the adventure guys!

This is a rough start to 2018, and I'm really sorry to see you go.

I've found so many great series thanks to this site, and I think the exposure a lot of manga gets here contributed to them getting licensed.

I pray the successor to batoto comes soon, but I'll always remember how much time I spent here.

This is a very, very very painful farewell. Checking Batoto is the first thing I do as soon as I come back from work, it became a reflex -a very important one that gives me so much joy.

You've created an excellent website and gathered an amazing community. You made a very good job. Thank you for all your efforts, thank you for allowing us to enjoy ourselves for so many years. I'm extremely sorry you had to pay such a high price and sacrifice so much of your own life because of it though.

Sad to hear you go but if it's affecting your life as much as you are saying than it's time to let go. I just wanted to say Thank you for all your hard work.

I've been around since Sept. 2011 and this is the only site that I think is worth a crap to frequent. I've never seen any other site give a damn about the scanlators, the leechers, and artists equally and did it without being pure trash with virus laden ads everywhere. I think we're all going to be worse off without Batoto around. I can honestly say I've read so many manga, that I would never have given a chance normally, or even would have heard of. I'm truly grateful for you guys being around for as long as you have.

I hope you get an awesome rest man, you guys have earned it.

oh... well damn.  It'll be missed...

I wonder if any of the staff have thought to take on the bato domain and try to seamlessly move over?

Btw, I always wondered about the 'only the last 4 most recent chapters' could be read without an account..'   should have IMO made it so only series releases 2+ years old  could be read from the site without a membership...  this way the scraping would effectively (IMO) stop... yea people would complain but maybe admin get more sleep.

damn, I wonder where the scanlators will upload to now...

side note, if anyone wants to discuss setting a server up, I own scans.today ...  just need a server to direct 'reader' to as my account won't really support what bato does I don't think.

Thank you for the awesome work to all the mods and admins. Don't know how I'll survive without this site, that's how much I loved being here -- both for the comics and the forums.

I've been here since 2014 I think, account only from 2015 though. Honestly, batoto has for me since then been one of the best sites in the whole internet, and it will always keep that spot in my heart.

I just have to say thank you very much for creating such a great site, and keeping it up for so long!

Also thank you in advance for creating the export list and informing us about it, these kinds of things are exactly why batoto is the best!

Any site that Scanlators would choose to upload on is what is needed.

batoto is the only one that was used by so many.
