Well, there is/was

Umi no Misaki (the art kind of deteriorated a bit)
Ah! My Goddess! (same, there is a definite turnabout(simplification) in the artwork somewhere around ch 57 or so)
Id (started with crappy artwork, now it's good imo)

Kanade (both by the same mangaka, a little simple so maybe not entirely what you'd want)
