Re:daction

Off the top of my head, DICE, A Fairytale for a Demon Lord (2nd season prologue for this actually came out yesterday, good time to start ), & Pandora Hearts, Nowhere Boy, & 20th Century Boys are all good series that got me hooked from the first chapter.

Here I'd been having a hell of a time coming up with more & more new adjectives & nicknames, but I really like these ones, I think I'll keep them for a while

The megane's apparent attempt to diffuse the situation was crushed when the guy in the stairwell broke into a sprint, unconscious 'princess' still in hand, shouting some nonesense about having the moral high ground, but 'Megane-kun' quickly followed them without any sign of discouragement. Alex was about to check his dice rolls & be off, but even before he could, hiis phone rang again with the same bad rap ringtone to notify him of the result. That's useful...

Not wanting to waste another second, he gave chase, hurriedly typing instructions to X as to his newly acquired points. The bespectacled track star ahead of him had shouted to X about spending almost all his free points on agility, so he was apparently what in games would be called a dedicated build. Alex could only hope he was deficient enough in his other specs to buy enough time for him to close the distance. This should be worth more than 3 Dice if that moment on the rooftop was my only window! But what is he trying to do, it must be something more than just 'Wake the sleeping beauty'. Given the romanticism & talk about glory, it's probably either something to the effect of 'Save the princess' or 'Defeat the Demon King'. Despite himself, Alex smiled at these ridiculous things he was considering as serious possibilities. So, all I have to do is beat him to it... though that's much simpler said than done...

As he finally started catching up, he saw the unlikely Denon King had found himself a new ally -- a stunningly beautiful girl, who ironically seemed much more princess like than the one he was carrying. A pang of apprehension shot through him. It'd suddenly gone from a 2 on 1 with the opponent literally having his arms full already to a 2v2 with an unknown quantity staring back at him. Rather than attacking however, she attempted to make conversation with the Megane, speaking with a voice so angelic he almost completely missed the subject matter. He quickly recollected himself however, in time to catch the latter portion of her pronuncement. Her knight in shining armour!? Wait, that's good, if she & the Megane know each other, we can still resolve this-- But at that moment, the sleeping beauty awoke, shouted something in an unintelligible foreign language, & began wildly kicking, managing to hit the Demon Lord in the chin. --peacefully.........

But it didn't seem this was to be so. Just as he'd finally caught up, he found himself in another race, to choose a course of action & a side in this conflict. The situation had become terribly chaotic with 5 Dicers in such close vicinity, & he still wasn't quite sure just what it was he was to prevent. However, the earlier words of the Demon King nagged at him. X tells you whatever he wants you to and you do it for power, you have no sense or morality... Alex was certainly not someone who was easily irritated, but he clenched his teeth in disgust at this phrase. Like hell I do, morality is the last sacred thing left in me. He rushed over to the infirmary door, taking a punch from the berserk princess en route, but it seemed she still hadn't recovered from having the wind knocked out of her, & it lacked much power. "Hey, there's a girl out here, she looks hurt! Please help!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. Having the nurse come out right now is probably the last serious hope for a peaceful resolution to this, with the added bonus that it'd prevent the Megane from following through with his plan. I don't have it in me to play the hero, I acknowledge that... but I wouldn't even be here if I were the sort of person who could just take the easy way out. he thought with a wry smile.

My bad, I'll start doing so.
