Why not pass the reins over to another person or persons? I'm sure there are others that would be willing to step in.

 

With all due respect (and gratitude for your efforts over the years), shutting the entire site down because the founder, i.e. a single person, no longer wishes to continue seems unwarranted and unnecessary.

fully support this to combat the bot crawl.

 

honestly, it takes about 15-20 secs to make an account. you can even smurf it, if not very interested in being part of the community. what's the big deal if one has to register?

 

i don't really see any of the objections against becoming registered.
