In Topic: Comic page comments needs spoiler button.

I'm glad to know others still care, but I have bad news.

Spoiling is commonplace, even "ruining the distant ending for no apparent reason" spoiling, and good indications are that nothing will be done about it. Suggestions are born and die in darkness.

I mean, the person you quoted and are replying to has even addressed this.

But, honestly, as a person who regularly uses spoiler tags in comic comments for various reasons, I would kinda really like to not have to type them out manually every time. And maybe it would ever so slightly reduce the amount of people asking "how do i do spoilers" in comic comment sections.

hmmmm ... the "annoying ads" thread was started back in april of 2014 ... and there have been over 380 replies/complaints to it since ... I guess it must be too much like rocket science to see that as pretty much proving that the site owners do nothing "EFFECTIVE" about controlling the annoying ads ... like stop selling ad space to companies who completely ignore any of the so called agreements or policies that batoto claims to have

I never said the admins or site owners did nothing about the problem ... what I said was that they do nothing EFFECTIVE about the problem

The only "effective" solutions to bad actors in advertising are as follows:
  • Run your site for free and have the site bankrupt you
  • Use only ad networks that curate their ad submissions so heavily they don't make enough money to give to you so the costs greatly outweigh the ad money and the site bankrupts you
So they are doing what they can from their side. The real problem is that there is no end to people who will screw anyone and everyone over for money, and those people keep submitting ads to any ad network they can find.
