seem to me it had the same effect as barragans ability but instead of aging it melt everything

Yeah I wasn't sure whether it was melting everything it touched, or just everything in the area. At first I thought it was some kind of sensory control power like Aizen's shikai or As Nodt's power, but I realized that Kenpachi really had melted, but was immediately healed.
