Torchcamp

I've been using bato.to for many years now and it's the only manga-site I've ever registered too, specifically because I love the system you use. Being able to follow series that you like and seeing whenever a new chapter comes out for a series I follow, not to mention the great search-function this site has when you want to find new series. But I'm getting more and more curious as to what is happening to all the content on this site? There are tons of series that I've followed, some for years that are just getting removed. I understand that you respect copy-right etc. and take down series if the publishers/authors ask you. But I have serious doubts about how this is going to work in the long run. I barely even go to this site anymore because most of the series I follow and read just never get updated here or simply get removed. It feels like nice thinking in theory but never going to work since people will just go to other sites instead, sadly.

It just sucks because I really like this site, but what can you do when you go to a site to read manga and there is "nothing" to read? Every time I go in to check if something has been updated it feels more and more dead. First I thought that some series had been put on hiatus / stopped or something but I then realized that almost all of them have been removed for various reasons or don't get updated anymore.

Not trying to sound harsh or anything, just interested in starting a discussion.
