Oh now I get it. The trade god's gift doesn't activate, simply because the raw version doesn't say it does. It's true one would assume why it wouldn't activate, at this point its beyond me. I just translated what the raw said, so maybe it was a bad call of the author who wrote it, like why activate one God's gift but not the other, especially when a situation for it can be used was presented?

I think thr second divine protection that activates in chapter 3 is trade:

"Now that’s cheap. I wonder if the [Divine protection of a trade(Merchant) God] kicked in? "

instead of

"Now that’s cheap. I wonder if the [Divine protection of Judgement(Appraisal) God] kicked in? "
