Hello!

15 May 2011 - 09:48 PM

I generally don't make an introduction, but what the heck...

I'm Zan. It's nice to meet you all! I obviously like manga and its variations, or I wouldn't be here; I particularly like 1/2 Prince, Fairy Tail, 07-Ghost, and Ao no Exorcist. I have also recently become interested in webcomics, my current favorites being Noblesse and Tower of God. I also really love anime and am eagerly awaiting the subbing of the new episodes of Ao no Exorcist and Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal (which is really quite good, despite what Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged would have us think).

I admire scanlator teams but have no time at all to join one. To any scanlators who might be reading this, I just want to say thank you and keep up the good work!

:excl: Warning: rant ahead! Proceed at your own risk! And don't say I didn't warn you. :excl:
To scanlators (I don't know the specific job[s]): not to sound ungrateful or anything (I'm anything but), but please make sure you've checked for and found any and all grammatical mistakes in your scans. It's kind of my pet peeve. I don't mind little things like typos, since (at the risk of quoting Hannah Montana) nobody's perfect, but learn the difference between loose and lose, your and you're, and their, they're, and there. It just bugs me so much *ensue rabid hat-chewing and frothing at the mouth*

This is not to say that I don't appreciate the time and effort you put into giving me free translations of my favorite series. I really, honestly do, more than you might know or care. And I'll still read scans with the aforementioned errors, I just won't like them as much as scans with better grammar (unless the quality sucks, but quality basically trumps all anyway).

. . .Okay, I'm done now.
