Serious breakdowns / shocking moment in manga

I'm looking not for a series but for a particular element, how often it happens and how shocking it is. I got enlightened that manga key feature is how seriously authors throw serious elements even to some lighter genres: blood stained dress after first sex is one example. The other thing is how authors treat seriously trivial things! Whole shonen genre is based on some circle of people with the same goal, skill, power, enemy (which doesn't need to be an alien invader or deep underground lab-made cyborg etc.) - it can be edgy kid, obstacle, small mountain with tough route... I mean, stuff most people just treat like least important or doesn't even know that there's this kind of a "thing" apparently gets to be the main, key element in manga.
