Anime/manga that made you realize how useless we are, and how shit the world is.

And also Regarding Death, Nowhere Boy, etc.
And Death Note & School Days ain't that depressing imo, it's more like you want to punch the characters in the face and there's so many epic gore.
But there was this manga that teached me that "You're not the only one living with shitty problems. " reminded me that reality is far far cruel and that so many people live in a self-centered manner without caring for others while waiting to be pitied(*snort*, as in "being understand by others" *evil laughs*. Forgot the name of the series who mentionned that line though... There were more than one though. A certain coming-of-age called Onani Master Kurokawa give me sorta gave me goosebumps by showing school bullying.
Fawk everything---- <my reaction as I am in the process of reading those kinds of mangas.

It's not a manga, but for crappy feelings, I should say it's well worth the read. My advice - skip over the little paragraphs down by the bottom of the pictures, as they read in a "Here I explain everything that just happened in case you've got a too thick skull to figure it out on your own" sort of way. So yeah, just skip those over and take them at the very end if there was something unclear. But the comic...go read it.

But strangely, none made me feel worthless, they only made me think that I am too weak now, and that I need to change if I want to be strong enough to avoid those endings, no necessarily physically but also mentally since most of the times I feel like murdering the main characters when I see how dense they are.
So yes, I too enjoy dramas and hearttearing stories cause they help into someone strong enough to not loose himself in such situations.

fingers.
For sad manga, I recommend Ai-ren and Arigatou. The former is beautifully tragic, the latter is slightly disturbing.

I was already corrupted before I discovered manga/anime, so there's nothing more it could do to me.
As far as further depressing me, I guess Texhnolyze does alright. The ending is totally FTW.

I vote Clannad.
The anime made me depressed. The ending, it shook my will to live greatly and I wanted to die because of how it made me see the world.
