my bet is that his only power is changing his eye/tears color and uses that power to freak people out and bluff them

My theory is that when he sees his reflected self he could color himself into a different color, in most situations matching the surrounding environment's color. Or he could color the entire vicinity into one specific hue then check himself with a glass of some sort coloring himself according to the surrounding color which he changed recently.

It could be possible that it truly is a power of self deception, convincing himself that he has power and acting with that level of surety to be successful. A thought that just occured to me though is that maybe the term Lizard refers to the ability of some lizards to project themselves as being larger or far more dangerous then they actually are. So for instance like the frilled lizard that expands its hood when threatened in order to intimidate its enemy, his power could be reminiscent of that...the ability to induce fear or appear dangerous enough for him to act in whatever way he can.

my guess on his "repaint" ability is to be able to literally repaint the world to what he sees and thinks. Kinda like a reality marble from fate.

i would really kill the girl for what she did , all jap. manga have main characters with the same personality, i understand that he likes the girl, but come on, she just threw the gun at him and left the room as if nothing happened, she enters the room and he is bleeding and she is looking at him and pretending like nothing is going on, at some point the main character has to think of himself, instead we see the same useless main character that is repeated in all manga.

i don't mind him being weak or having no ability, or being scared when facing death, but thinking of some girl who is doing nothing while he is dying , don't tell me that he still wants her to be his girlfriend after she stole his eye and made him go through that nightmare, just so she could have some fun??

 They consume a wide range of prey as well as fish, usually caught by swooping down from a perch

It must correspond to the power of Kingfisher, in which he must see/know the location of the fish and then take it away just as a kingfisher would

 

no guess about frog or snake, but water strider can stride in water, which makes me guess that it's just making the air into water ( now he could stride in the air)

 

since the name is lizard king, i guess he can use all lizard's power. The power of changing eye color is probably from chameleon that changes according to the surrounding (in this case it's analogous to his emotion)

I have three theories after I saw the last chapter

1. Body changing: Allow him to move his soul into another one (that body must have been dead)
2. Allow him to change his appearance (his namesake)
3. Lelouch's Geass in "Code Geass" (they even mention this in the first chapter)

Honestly I think regeneration and generic "lizard powers" is what I'm going to go w/.  He just had all of his fingers chopped off and random chunks of himself removed, and considering he obviously doesn't die in the prologue (at least not perma-dead since he's on the cover of Vol. 2 on the LN) that's the only thing that makes sense to me.

The only things he will be able to do is bluff or freak out his enemies for a split second because people like Kingfisher exist. Pretty much among the weakest powers I have seen in fiction. Except maybe for that one guy I recall in comics somewhere that could change things and make them look yellow.
