when a man falls in love is.. decent. however the main actress is by far one of the worst korean actresses alive... it is literally painful to watch her. i'm 99% positive her poor acting skill can be reached far beyond the simple language barrier.. the difference in skill between her and the main actor is too great to go unnoticed. so i wouldn't reccomend. however the drama was quite popular...

mature and tragic? I didn't care for WAMFIL, but I STRONGLY suggest Shark(상어) and Nice Guy(착한남자). They're both very good, of course with romance as i believe almost all novelas have, a more recent one is 2 Weeks, it was so good.. those 3 you should definitely start with. I'm looking forward to hearing from you about how your first impressions of all of them turn out! You might also like Iris and School 2013(albeit it's rather "kiddish" due to the highschool setting.. but it's very raw as well...)

I meant Heirs is overrated in general. I didn't get how KMH & PSH won the couple award when KWB and her had a much better chemistry together.
Oh my god. I loved Reply 1997! It was seriously the best drama I have watched in so long. I recommend it to all of my friends! I didn't get a chance to watch SIG's summer movie yet. I have been busy catching up on my manga readings Boo hoo LOL, I don't think Yuri is a lesbian. Did you heard about Yoona and Seung Ri dating?
Oh my god. I don't even get me started on Reply 1994's ending. I shipped Chilbong & Na Jeong together... and Shin PD f*cked it up for me. I'm guessing you're NaReki (Trash & Na Jeong) shipper?

I'm not really into watching korean drama, but well, what do i say. I watched some, i guess.

 

Autumn In My Heart - This thing was the craze around the time of my childhood, so i kinda grew up with it.

 

Heartstring - Watched it in 2012, when my sister suddenly crash into my my new-found apartment, bringing with her a full DVD set of the drama and abuse the player and the tv for herself. Kinda tagged along when she was watching it. Got hooked into one of the ost from the movie "Because I Miss You", i even made my own rendition of fingerstyle guitar of it.

 

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho - Female coworkers watched it at the office, tag along.

 

Good Doctor - Last year. Coincidentally, I was reading Saijou No Meii. I found the similarity in the setting was quite intriguing.

 

King of Baking, Kim Takgu - One of my sister influence. While in Good Doctor, Joo Won portray the weak-willed, autistic protagonist Park Shion, but here he portray the full of hatred antagonist Gu Majun. Both the character he played had a big contrast in character, but he played both excellently, which really shows that Joo Won was indeed a talented actor.

 

Well, mind you again i don't watch korean drama  often. But overall, all of the above was really good IMO.

i watched heartstrings, it was satisfying and 신혜 is a good actress!! also, her costar 용화 was from their old drama you're beatiful :-) i didn't grow up with dramas, i only started ~caring~ about them around ~2007 or so when my cousins started caring about idols, i followed suit :^)

Well not too much into kdrama or kpop, I listen to a lot of kpop but I don't hype/follow the groups singing.

My mother and sisters are like addicts though.

 

Btw a good movie I loved was 200 pound beauty xD

I apologize for my mistake: I meant to say 'Seung Gi" Lee Seung Gi. my mom and my aunties loooove dramas its really just me and some of my girl cousins that like idols but i dont like to talk about them in public bc most ppl dont even like idols and the ones who do tend to be rlly annoying middle school kids :-// ppl usually grow out of it before their junior year.

It's about a mom who's daughter is bullied (mainly bc everyone thinks she a huge ass lesbian with her best friend) and then her bff "commits suicide" (WE ALL KNEW THAT ISNT TRUE THOUGH) and it unravels some of the disgusting and horrifying truths about kor gov. and education system as the mom enrolls in her daughters school to do what the law failed to do for her... involves catching a rapist, murderers, abortions, manipulation, child abuse.... Another show with a similar setting (a private school) is called Who Are You [School 2015]. It's definitely more drama like and fantasy type than the realism of angry mom.

I don't watch a lot of K drama, but here are the ones I highly recommend:

• The Devil - A police detective receives a tarot card whenever a murder happens and always finds an identical tarot card on the scene. This string of murders is the work of someone with a personal vendetta against this detective.
• Hyde, Jekyll, Me - The boss of a theme park has Dissociative Identity Disorder (split personality). Unlike in the book "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", the MC is the mean guy while his alter ego is the good guy. But they both fall in love with the same girl.
• 49 Days - A girl happily engaged suddenly dies in a car crash, but the Scheduler (something like a Shinigami who only does the soul-collecting) tells her that she isn't meant to die so early, so he gives her a quest: if she can collect three drops of genuine tears shed by people that aren't related to her by blood in 49 days, she can come back to life. But it isn't as easy as it seems.
