Hi! I was wondering if anbody knows an anime/ a manga in which the girl/boy dies in the end. The genre must be romance and shoujo. Thanks ^_^.

Please don't suggest these anime anymore:
Clannad
Kyoushiro and The Eternal Sky

Ohhhh. Shoujo. Dang, I was going to suggest Elfen Lied.

Only one that comes to mind that I really enjoyed was Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan. Be ready to cry, though.

In Clannad nobody dies at the end though XD

Deep love - Ayu no Monogatari is a good one.
Deep love also has spin-off mangas of the other characters like the dog or the friend or the boyfriend after story but nobody dies there still it is some pretty deep stuff especially Deep love - Pao no monogatari spin off I do recommend reading them all.

>_> In Clannad the character (who shall remain unnamed) dies in the middle of the series. They're still dead, regardless of whether at end or middle.

Nope, nothing else really good is coming to mind. And Watshitachi no Shiawase na Jikan is pretty short, too, only 8 chapters. Still, its was fantastically good.

The heroine in "mission school" has the same preferences. It's not shoujo.

@theroadstopshere
But what if the story at the end goes back before the death in the middle causing them to be alive at the end?
Like Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni / Kai, I wouldn't call them dead at the end of the series even though they got massacred over and over and over again throughout the series.
I am pretty sure there are a lot more manga that kill off the main character at the end but I cannot remember the names.

Er, the character I'm talking about definitely stays dead. In Higurashi, they get literally brought back through the curse/ f-ed up reality, whereas in Clannad, its just a flashback.

As far as anime how about Angel Beats? It's comedy romance and though it's not exact there's people "passing on" throughout and at the end. It has some strong life and death emotions to it. I'm not sure it carries either a Shoujo or Shounen tag but it could probably be Shoujo, depends on your opinion.

The only suggestion in manga I have for you is Socrates In Love. It honestly fits the bill,, Shoujo, Romance, and Tragedy (MC death) but don't take this as a recomendation, it was just too sad for me to read, sorry.

Can you pm me with the name of the one who dies because I just don't understand who dies and stays dead?

Well, there's Omae ga Sekai wo Kowashitai Nara, though it is kind of like dna423 said about the Higurashi no Naku series. There's the one-shot Akuma ni Itsukushimi no Te wo, which is sweet even though it's even shorter than Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan.

Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai is based on a novel (there are two manga adaptations) and is similar to Clannad in that someone dies. Goth, by the same author as Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai, has many dead characters although it is very disturbing and probably not the shoujo you were looking for...Hoshi no Koe (Voices of a Distant Star) ends with the feeling of death. I bet Yu Yu Hakusho is out of the question.

In all, I think you'd have luck with shounen, one-shots, and novels. Most shoujo mangakas write for magazines that promote love and life with love, not death. I'm pretty sure everyone dies in the Tokyopop shounen manhwa Eternity (Park Jin-Ryong & Shin Yong-Gwan).
