Just a suggestion - based on the comments and discussions that people have had on some of the mangas/manhwa that I follow, I feel like adding the genre tag might be useful! This is obviously something that people feel strongly about so I think it's important!

its not a genre its a state of mind of some of the characters (or rather the lack of the clear mind)
romance is a genre
romance is a genre

NTR, considered by many a plague in manga, is showing up more and more in manga these days. I was wondering if a NTR tag would be helpful for people who wish to have nothing to do with a manga with NTR or for those that like NTR (bless their souls).
I know from personal experience how infuriating NTR can be, even to the point of making people stop following certain manga altogether. It is really frustrating for some when you are enjoying a manga and its plot, only to get pelted in the face with some NTR plot twist. It ruins the manga and the experience.
With an NTR tag people will know to stay away from it, if they don't want the story to be ruined for them.
If we can't eliminate NTR...then I hope we can at least warn people of it before it jumps out on them.
Thank you for your time.

Someone hates surprise adult drama points.
I doubt it, drama genre is there for something.

Most mangas accused of netorare, while may indeed contain elements of it, often have the protagonist "take back the love" (Ai wa Torimodose?!). A popular method for immersion is simply pissing off the reader and then granting the satisfaction of revenge. A very effective way to piss the reader off is to steal (as in steal the relationship, not just physically capture) the protagonist's lover which, without the revenge part is NTR. I guess it's easy to assume any manga which provokes frustration or creates some feeling of loss is NTR even though it doesn't involve any 'cheating' on the protagonist (which tragedies do a lot and are aptly tagged).
I believe hardcore NTR preserves the despair to the ending, never giving the protagonist, and anyone who empathizes with said character, anything but frustration. While it's true this seems to be a solid rule, it depends on how sensitive the reader is to this sort of psychological bullying and how 'satisfying' the outcome is. If the reader decided to stop reading and miss the ending, then what was read could qualify as 100% NTR.
I agree with thearux though, the Drama (Tragedy too in some cases) tag pretty much covers and it, just as Romance covers the disputed topic of incest. That being said, Drama is too broad and many blurbs make a point that incest will happen (if not the cover page itself) while NTR is almost impossible to see coming without spoilers (since the protagonist is implied to 'lose') unless there is little to no plot (aka porn). Perhaps a 'Bad Ending' tag is in need? I jest, there's no real concrete solution.
However, here's something worth taking with you:
Devoting feelings to a plot is asking the author to play them like a harp. If you aren't prepared to lose, don't invest.

unnecessary. My understanding is that an NTR tag is wanted so series with NTR can be avoided. But batoto is a manga aggregator site. You can search for reviews of said manga on mangaupdates or elsewhere if you want to know if there's NTR in it or not and if it's worth reading or not.
Favorite Manga: Record of Fallen Vampire, Hayate the Combat Butler, Kekkaishi
Main reason: Akabara Strauss and plot/story flow, Tennousu Athena arc/Katsura Hinagiku, Kidoin Nura and story flow

Basically, if you start adding things like Netorare, other people will start asking for Incest, Pansexualism, Bestiality (Which would be with a fox-woman as an example), etc.
Like other people agreed with me and complemented, Drama itself cover netorare, since netorare IS USED FOR DRAMA.

I agree with thearux. Also, NTR tags are more likely to PROMOTE the attempt for people to argue for it rather than prevent those who dislike it from seeing it. Tthe NTR that you find in drama even isn't nearly as offensive as those that can be found in adult viewings.

The term/genre tag NTR seems to have become the real plague here. IMO, an NTR tag and actual NTR content is related to almost exclusively hentai oriented material and has almost no place in main stream manga/manhwa. I'm not saying depicted situations which might be seen as NTR don't exist on this site, but where ever they might occur they are more than adequately tagged by mature and adult content warnings.
From what I've seen, what's showing up more and more is people who want to throw out this term in conversation either with the intent of creating a furor or for some reason I don't understand. I haven't seen even one occasion out of the many, many occasions I've seen people throw this term out, that there was anything even remotely resembling actual NTR content.
NTR tags serve a specific purpose on hentai sites and it's not a warning, it's there for people who dig that kind of content, it's got no place here.

K agreed with svine85: NTR is a fetish tag for hentai manga and it shouldn't even be used for other demographics just because it seems "trendy to apply it".

For pony!!!
Miseng is supposedly the Prince of Zahard and thus, a trap. SIU, you've completely outdone yourself this time.
And I'm very sorry, I just rarely accept friend requests these days. I don't really do Facebook friend requests. Maybe next time.
------------------
Even though I like TOG, I have no favourite characters. There are only characters I get attached to, for the moment and some traits I adore, just for a while. In the same way, there is no character I hate or dislike. I may get annoyed, angry and so on, for a while.

Yup, like YHS said it seems it's some sort of "trendy" fad sort of thing to call "NTR!!!" every time some people get a chance. No idea why.Seriously?

I don't really read a lot of manga these days but it really is annoying when I'm trying to read one thing and it soon becomes clear that the entire purpose of a manga is some kind of submissive fetishistic situation that I have no ability to relate to.
I'm not talking about amusing manga like MM where the main character is uncontrollably masochistic, it's played for laughs there. What I am talking about is when it becomes clear the author takes some kind of perverse glee in making readers feel connected to characters only to have them torn apart and raped by obviously evil people and the like.
I understand what people are saying in that relationship issues are something that happens in adult drama, but netorare is so overly prevalent in some Japanese works that I just prefer not to deal with it entirely.
TBH I don't see it that often in the standard day-to-day (meaning not porn) manga, so it might not really be wholly necessary.

If you don't like it then just drop it!
Most people fear the NTR because they thought it will affect their lives. Well... I think that's half right.
NTR or Netorare is just myth or urban legend. There's no such thing like NTR peoples in this world! THEY DO NOT EXIST! They only exist in the world of hentai. These rumors will fade if we don't believe it.
Keep thinking positive and make this world more beautiful.

Seriously?
Ppl on here are so hung up on NTR.
some of them need to hush and then majority go on blasting "ntr" when they really do not even know what the term actually means, which in this case is normally wrong like the manga "Golden Time" for example, many troll the comments smh. Like aux said drama covers that and this site is not a hentai site "like yu han" says.

So, from the 6-12 repetitive posts, we can concur that such a tag has no place on Batoto.

It's not wholly nonexistent in regular manga, but I think I agree that it's not really prevalent enough to warrant a tag.
