You've probably read a children book as a kid, or had someone read one to you. Most children books use rhyming as a way to make the story entertaining.

So how about we create our own rhyming story?

-It doesn't have to be restricted to a PG rating, go wild (but stay within Batoto TOS).
-The default is 4 lines a verse. If you want to write more, make the lines number a multiple of 4.
-You don't need to continue the above poster's rhyming, only the story. Though it is recommended.
-The general rhyming scheme is AABB and ABAB, but a little deviance is allowed.

With that said, let's start:

A long, long time ago,
A story of ancient history.
In a land filled with snow,
A land filled with mystery.

Be it as it may
The characters we shall introduce
Let us start with Bruce.

His build was average to you and me
He wasn't short, nor tall as a tree
And neither a thick or a lanky stance
He was hardly a man you'd note at a glance.

His secret was that of being a hooker.
Woe, Bruce, what has fate have in store?
Let's begin his story once more.

In the far reaches of the Mediterranean sea,
Where our hero was just a sailor trainee.
Clouds gathered and began to transform,
To what looks to be a mighty storm.

as a storm surely formed,
a hero was also born,
with the storm sure to dig a sailor's grave,
none can dig a brave soul's

"Avast ye!", he cried with a chilly sweat
"This may be our worst tide yet!"
Sailors abandoning ship, sailors fastening rums
You truly know the good seamen when the storm comes.

"If clouds are gathering thick and fast,
Keep sharp look out for sail and mast,
But if they slowly onward crawl,
Shoot your lines, nets and trawl."

about what, we can only guess.
meanwhile, trouble stirred below decks.

Indeed, right under their noses, trouble brew
For there was a traitor among the crew
Below the decks, a man of greed
Began his plan of terrible misdeed

With a single yell, his trace was gone
As the sun rose up to the break of dawn
No longer could they hear death's knell
For the storm was gone, and all was well

Our hero rejoiced with a cheerful glee
As he saw something at the end of the sea.
Bruce couldn't believe it, he rubbed his eyes
He finally found it, he found his prize.

A colossal land, bigger than anything he's seen
A land he sought after, ever since he was a teen
"Captain! We've found it!" he shouted with joy,
"Yes," the captain replied, "Yes we have, boy".

The Moving Island this place has been named
For this colossal island's location was never the same
Was it magic that made this colossal island set sail
Or maybe it was on the back of a colossal whale

The answer to this question no one knew
Why did it move? No one had a clue
But this island has been rumored to be a paradise
However, getting off this island comes at a price

Indeed, young travelers, forewarn of these claims
For 'Moving Island' is only one of its names.
The island of misery, the island of death,
The island where one draws his last breath.

Many a sailor have gone for the dive,
But alas, none have come back alive
Blinded by greed, they charged for the dough
However, in the end, they reaped what they sow.

What made them journey to this island, which took many weeks?
Mountains of gold, a cursed treasure, or maybe a lost love?
Unfathomable wealth, power, or all of the above?

Just what is it that made our hero and crew so brave
To travel to the island where men have dug their own grave
To the island thats location is never the same
Is it here that they wish to find fortune and fame?

Yet perhaps there's another secret in store
Hidden in our hero's memory galore
That Island was once his long lost home
A separated part of Rome

"Captain!" Bruce yelled, "We must go there!
This agonizing heart can no longer bear!"
"Yes," replied the captain, "We shall embark,
We need to get a move on before it gets dark,"

they had the whole island to explore,
and no time to waste.
