Cataclysm sounds bleak as all hell. There are no adult-themed, apocalyptic-survival, zombie MMO's. You can get bits and pieces here and there but...

'Zombie' Games:
Left 4 Dead series, Dead Island series, Dead Rising series, Die 2 Nite (browser), Dead Space series, ect. (Anything with 'Dead' in the title)

Post 'End of the World' Games:
Fall Out series, Wasteland 2, Pikmin, Rage, I Am Alive, Lightning Returns, ect.

Adult-Themed Games:
Age of Conan... Umm...

'Undead' feature heavily in a lot of MMO's but that's not really the same.I think they call that Minecraft.
 
 Off the top of my head... I think WildStar and Firefall:
- WildStar promotes itself as a skill-based game and with plenty to do outside of farming materials and dungeon-crawling. Like their player housing. Think farmville. You can have people over who can maintain your house and chase off pests for XP when you're offline.

- Firefall is more combat focused with their pvp and pve. I think most activities in the game result in a fight, like mining ores. They use a trinity system and you can switch archetypes on the fly (called battle frames), so you make a character and just switch classes at a station.

If you consider WoW skill-based, there are a lot of (illegal) private servers that have stripped the game down to just the 'essentials'. Otherwise... Dota type games? DoTa series, League of Legends, ect.

High fantasy? Everquest/LoTro. Interesting lore? Mass Effect. xD

 

I said that I wanted one, not that it existed. And there is no dismembering, beating someone to death with his own leg thing in Minecraft.

Wasteland 2 could be fun, duno It's not even out yet. And no I'm not interested in WoW, etc. I'm not interested in a MMO where I can't loot, skin, butcher players carcases.

I also don't want to play wurm online because its a grindfest.

If TESO has active blocking or dodging, it'll count as skill-based to me.

 

I know, right...? Hahaha ^^

 

But yeah, I'll believe it has active blocking, not sure about dodging though, I wish they had that in Skyrim, being dual-wielder is hard with only sprint and few shouts as your defenses ^^''

Nah, I always test drive a game before I 'officially' play it. With Skyrim, I tried the two ways to get out of the fort before deciding who side with. Same with weapon style.

Even in an MMO, I do a runthrough and then settle on faction, class, ect. I have issues like that. @_<

Have you tried Allods Online?

Oh, I don't have problems like that, I always try to side with ''good'' faction, and I always make human male warrior if possible, hahaha ^^

 

Yeah, a very long time ago, it wasn't very skill-based so I moved on pretty fast, hahaha ^^

 

Oh yeah, I saw that news in Pc Gamer few days ago, is it skill-based...? ^^

 

 

Play as a thief and it won't be as easy as that xD

And like Naifu said, if there is blocking and dodging then it's skill-based since if you don't block or dodge well then you will suck.

The only skill thing in TERA is dodging after all :P

 

Well, at least you can score stealth kills, unlike me, and be high level enough you can just one shot anything, hahaha ^^ 

 

But yeah, what you said is true ^^

 

Well, if you don't block or dodge, you can get one or two-shotted by BAMs, hahaha ^^

Should be fixed now.

I tried APB: Reloaded but it was too much for my laptop. All I could do was make a character and then lag in the starter area.

hmm now im playing some SWTOR but except the story is not much to do there, imo they should have made it a damn SP game instead

Yeah! Ahahah, people have been complaining about the stealth and burst since the beta. They need to remove stealth and replace it with short range teleportation aka shadow steps.

The burst... That's a whole other story.

lineage 2 is going down the drain, used to play it to, off server then private then off server then quited, the off servers are full of bots and now with the god updates is way to SF for me now

i was into l2 mostly for pvp-ing but now is like more grind for items then again more grind grind grind and the farm spots are full of bots in top gear and max lvl :))
