I'm sorry if this is something somebodies already asked or spamming this but is there any word on when part 2 will be starting.

Unfortunately no. All we knew is that the break is supposedly long enough for Naver to move Kubera temporarily to the "completed" section (which it does when the break is longer than a certain amount of time). I think Currybear even apologized for not being able to tell the break length in her Part I preview (and since then doesn't seem to have mentioned break duration again).

In the meantime, according to Google Translate, the comments to the Part I review are going along the lines of "Wah! Wah! I'm in Withdrawal!" rather than "Only x more weeks to go!" So yeah, I don't think we have any idea on the break duration.

On the other hand, every week Currygom has been publishing a part of her novel on her blog instead (it's a separate story on the parents of one of the side characters). So, the break probably won't end until that novel bit ends.

Well, not really. The break will likely be at Least as long as the current novel bit, and we don't know how long the novel bit will last.

I mean, it's obviously the story about how Kasak's parents met and got together. And it may not end until we learn how Ian dies. So far:
- Ian still doesn't know who Taksaka is, much less fall in love with him
- We know who the person who destroyed her village really is now, but we still don't know the circumstances, much
- The bad guy (?) only just showed up. Actually, he hasn't even arrived on Willarv yet.

So uh... that's just to say that unless the story speeds up a bit, it doesn't seem to be progressing that fast... :S

I admit I'm fine with it since we're getting two chapters of scanlation per week, though (whoo!). Also, the next arc will have some info that I'm really curious about and that I didn't manage to figure out, and the arc after that is pretty long so I didn't type everything out, but it seems to have some pretty interesting content too. So I'm really looking forward to the next few months of English scanlations.

lol, the official translators haven't even caught up with the webcomic yet, so nobody's translated the novel yet.
But you could always install a translator add-on and try to descifer the result directly from Currygom's blog:
currygom.blog.me

Well, not really. The break will likely be at Least as long as the current novel bit, and we don't know how long the novel bit will last.

I also think that's most probable. But the story on the novel episodes is moving quite slowly, so it won't be very soon. Also, mind that Currygom started Kubera in 2010 and has been going on non-stop during two years, week after week, so I think she deserves some time to relax (but not too much )

Currygom is saying that she's traveling all over India to obtain references, and that she'll have to go to the Indian sub-continent now. And she says she won't be back in South Korea until the end of the year.
Everybody is hoping that it's an April Fool's joke. >.>

I am so looking forward to part 2. I can't read Korean naturally, but I do like looking at the strips and attempting to guess what they are saying~

Well, still no news on when Part 2 will begin, but Currygom recently did a mini Q&A session regarding the novel. The one thing that stood out is this: the novel won't describe the entirety of Ian Rajof's life until she dies (that's a relief), instead there will be a timeskip of a few years.

Now the thing is, I doubt the novel will end that fast after a timeskip either, and I still don't think Part 2 will start until the novel ends, so be mentally prepared to wait a few months longer.

if i'm not mistaken part 2 is where leez will take a more central role and things will actually start kicking off because i heard part 1 was more like an intro more than anything else though feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

so this waiting is just getting me pumped up all the more part 2 but i still can't wait till it starts and leez gets the sword

I agree, i felt like Part one introduced the characters, their personalities and goals. Now with part 2 i hope the plot will start developing at a faster rate.

I personally am looking forward to Yuta and Leez deepening their relationship and finally see which Role Leez plays in the future Kubera saw by using his divine Insight.

Not much news. Just that Currygom is spending all her time preparing for Part II, preparing for the second book, eating and mountain hiking. Second book should be released in a few weeks (exact date to be announced), and then she'll be working on the third book.

In other news, Currygom hates BL fanfics.
