Well as far as music goes I gotta toss The Black Mages name in here.

They are an Rock instrumental group made up of the 3 composers to square enix and they rock pretty hard. The wave of nostalgia you get while listening to some of the final fantasy songs is also pretty sweet.

Also Im pretty sure everyones heard of them by now but if not give this a listen

I love The Black Mages, I'm sad they aren't doing it anymore

Ehhh, I listen to a lot of J-rock like Pierrot, old Dir en grey, Luna Sea, BUCK-TICK, etc. and a ton of video game music. If I had to pick faves there I would say Yasunori Mitsuda, Yoko Shimomura, Nobuo Uematsu, Yuki Kajiura, Shoji Meguro, Akira Yamaoka... crap that's too many. And I have a hidden weakness for K-pop.
Probably forgot something I'll be all mad about later...
