It's not inmediate, less spontaneous , number of messages is way lower as many people doesn't bother with the forums which means less interesting things , and the closing was so abrupt without giving a warning about what had been done wrong that it doesn't make much sense.

Well, the people just lazy in our days, I suppose. Forum is the thing to discuss something. In my point of view, comment section under chapters should be dedicated to peoples reviews. For, you know, other people, who, don't have to start reading to decide, is he want to read it, or not. And don't even suggest to "go to the page 1, dude", because first few pages only litle less chaotic than the rest of that mess, which is the comment section.

Like something bad. The main reason, why comment section is such a mess. It's like a freaking /b/, but with one and only thread, which never go into bumplimit. And most of it is emotional nonsence. Allmost like a comments under videos on pornsite. I hope you do know, what is /b/, and why it isn't the best place to visit.

I've often see this argument, in different words. "I don't want post here, because nobody posting here!". It newer woul, if nobody gona start. And now is a good time to start, because it's the only place avaliable.

If they stopped from saying something by a need of a few additional mouse clicks, maybe they don't have to say anything of a value. I have no regrets for those remain unspoken.

I still instinctively scroll all the way down to look at comments and I keep forgetting that it is no longer available. Is sad.

Comment section is for commenting on the spot things related to the series, in spoiler if they are spoilers. Something like "is this worth it" should be a rating system, or , for more in-depth analisis, on the forum.  Also, the comment section rarely seems like /B, fortunately. And not like pornsites too. Comments where basically of two types: commenting on the impresion of what happened, or making funny remarks about what happened in each chapter. The fast grow is due to the daily dose of Tomochan, that means more messages in less time.  

 

Even if it true that the comment section is used wrong as a whole, it is utterly bad practice to lock it for so much time without even a warning first. Giving the chance should be the policy. It would be funny to go reporting all the comment sections in which someone has done something not on the rules and see all them nuked. The fallout in Batoto after that would be horrible/hilarious. And all because it feels like everyone that likes to use the comment section is being punished without warning with a rather seemingly random lock with no unlock to be seen soon for what isin reality the fault of a few.

 

It is not only the number, but the spontaneity. Also, forum should be used for more in depth analysis on the chapters or more elaborated things.

 

Your last point is the most hilarious of them all. Basically you are saying that if someone for any reason prefers the comment section that means what that they have to say is of no value to you, so you prefer them being not in the forum...but you keep saying they should use the forum for what is being the comment section used for. We have a problem here it seems. Perhaps is better to let the forum and the comment sections be their own things.

 

Also, is to note that the format in which tomo is presented, daily, and with the type of history and how it is shown to us, a comment section is just the right size for it. It is not a series of deep plot details , it is instead one of a few panels of comedy, daily. There is not that much to discuss, if not going to nearly off topic sometimes, but to talk about the little point made by the autor each chapter and how it is funny and how spawns funny things, plus Fluff conquering the world despite the evil queen efforts.

It got where the content was less and less about manga. It was the right thing to do. Batoto has my gratitude for putting their foot down. A good decision and it should stay this way.

I just finished reading Murenase ! Shiiton gakuen , really liked it (funny manga), and wanted to read the comments to see what the others people thought about the manga...

Yea but the difference is that unlike Mousou, Tomo comments got locked because someone got salty about another manga comments get shut down and threw Tomo under the bus, so the mods decided to flex their muscles and make it look fair while being super unfair.

So your logic is "I don't want to use it the way it is being used, so nobody else should be able to use it either." Is that it?

Why the fuck is this comment section so controversial? On moth its about which scanlation group is legitimate, then its about feminism, now autism?
