I can see Thorkell dying off more then Goram seeing how Goram is more gungho in fighting Thorfinn but I doubt it. I see the various sides to this conflicts main leaders surviving to hassle Thorfin in various ways.
I see Thorfinn getting forced in the middle of this conflict and causing a resolution to it that is unsatisfactory to various parties, and thus Thorfinn becoming the center of their attention and competing interests, The main sides of this are:
Floki, who just wants to be the boss and pass it down to his grandchild.
Canute, who want's conflict among the vikings to kill off as many as possible while also satisfying their blood lust, so they don't harm regular people as much.
Goram wants a great 1v1 battle.
Thorkell wants big group battles, also Thorkell is less interested in forcing his stuff on other people, it helps that he doesn't really need to since battles are relatively easy to get where as individuals can refuse.
Thorfinn, who's personally seen the stupidity and tragedy of war up close, having been one of its stupidest and strongest agents for years. Who has no interest in getting involved with stuff, who wants to start a new place free of all this nonsense. But once forced in the middle of this battle, will probably be forced to force a peace after showing off how badass he can be. And Goram won't properly get his 1v1 but they will probably clash a few more times. Leaving the other four sides of this very dissatisfied and all looking at Thorfinn to resolve their dissatisfactions..
And Sigurd, who is not going to get battle glory or Gudrid, but will probably manage to steal a ship in the upcoming chaos, and I'm sure won't be giving up on chasing Gudrid. Of course he's more comic relief than a serious side to this matter.
