There's so many series about high schoolers and a few about college kids, but not that many that I can think of off the top of my head that actually center around people of working age. It'd be nice to find some more series focused on life outside of school and teen angst/drama that are adult without being straight up porn or meaningless gore.

Series I've enjoyed so far include:

Cowboy Bebop

Mushishi

Saiyuki

Tiger and Bunny

Baccano

Devil is a Part Timer

Maoyu

Usagi Drop (Enjoyed the anime, but made the mistake of continuing to read the manga -__- )

Barakamon

On my "to watch/read" list:

Shirobako

Spice and Wolf

Ergo Proxy

Psycho Pass

Most of this list is fantasy/sci-fi, so it'd be especially cool if anyone can think of any slice-of-life more reality based ones (I tried servant x service, but it wasn't quite my thing).

  • 5-ji kara 9-ji made (but I personally didn't like it. though your opinion might differ ^^)
  • Solanin
  • Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan (not exactly about "daily" life but still slice-of-life)
  • Futari no Renai Shoka
  • Salty Studio
  • About Death  (not exactly slice-of-life)
  • Nineteen, Twenty-One (MCs are between school and uni)
  • Bokura Ga Ita (starts in school, ends when the MCs are already working after they finished university)
  • Taiyou no Ie (male MC is a working adult. Though his work-life is not the main focus of the story)
  • The Private Report on my Lesbian Experience with Loneliness (autobografical. the author is actually heterosexual)
  • Kakukaku Shikajika (autobiografical. Starts when the author is in school, proceeds to uni and then work. not sure wether the focus is enough on adulthood)
  • God of Bath (ugh, well, the MC has a job, I guess... xD)

s-f/fantasy:

  • Trump (starts with a boy at school age, but the story follows the boy even after he enters his first job)
  • 6000
  • Yuureitou
  • Wombs
  • Shiba Occhan
  • Black Lagoon (that's not s-f/fantasy, is it? just saw the first season xD)

I haven't read all of them yet, neither did I like all of them (< but that's just my opinion xD).

When I need quick read away from my usual cliched guilty pleasure I'd select genre in comic finder

Seinen/Josei & Slice of life.

This is my two cent.|

I've searched for Josei before, but on other sites, I'm new to bato.to, so I guess I should see what they have here~

Nice, I'll have to check those out. Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan looks especially interesting. I've read Salty Studio before, that one was cute!
