Since Magi came out first but this is the prequal does that mean I read this first or do I reach a certain chapter of magi and then read this?

The plot of this manga assumes that you will have read at least some of Magi, otherwise there are references that really don't make a lot of sense. So my advice would be read Magi first.

Wait should I read up to the current chapter of magi or is there a certain point where I can leave magi, read this, and come back.
