Labels are an important part of our lives whether we realize it or not.  They help us organize the world around us, but if used the wrong way, they can also divide people if riddled with oftentimes false stereotypes.  The purpose of this thread is to find out what things come to mind when you come across a label the person above you posts.  There is no limit to what you put down in regard to that label, just put down whatever may come to mind.  After you're done with the list, come up with another label for someone else to describe.  You can reuse a label if you like it.  This is the first (or only) of the social experiment series.  I'll see how this one goes before making another one.

I can only laugh at the diverse and various traditions that make up the "Communists" and be neatly summed up in a label. It's like saying "capitalism" and equating Adam Smith's "Wealth of Nations" with wallstreet bailouts. 

 

There is (or was) Chinese communism, Russian communism, Korean communism, Cuban communism (eh, more like socialism there).Within Russian communism there is Trotsky vs Bakunin vs Lenin. And then there are letters from Lenin arguing passionately why Hegel's idea of absolute negativity is the best thing since slice bread which would probably give Marx a heart-attack...
