If possible, please fix it so that it pings the RSS after the chapter is actually available to the end user. Pinging a user's RSS before the moderators approve the chapter is pointless, as the user can't read it until it's approved (also can result in chapters being missed by the user). Alternatively, allow users to read the unapproved chapter at their own discretion.

Good to know. This is a pretty big issue for me since I rely on RSS to keep track of this, and this issue basically renders RSS useless on the site.

The bug is actually a little different than that. A chapter doesn't show up on the RSS feed until a moderator approves it. When you see a chapter in your feed that's not available when you go to the url, it's actually a chapter that has a delayed release (that is, a certain time before it's view-able on this site per the scanlation group's rules).

 

Honestly, this bug is probably something that would be fixed with the My Follows overhaul that was planned, but that's currently on pause by Grumpy

Yes, it is a known bug.

 

Those chapters are approved, but currently on delay (set by the uploader). The group has a 48 hour delay policy: the chapters do not become public on Batoto until 48 hours after the person has uploaded them.
