Has anyone seen the movie "Sky High"?

It came out in 2005, it's by Disney.

I really liked it and just rewatched it.

The premise is kind of similar to this manga.

Highly recommended for anyone that likes Boku no Hero Academia.

Yeah, it's a nice movie Worth watching and probably the closest to moving form we'll see unless Boku no Boku no Hero Academia gets an anime.

Eeeh, I remember liking it as a kid but I would hope the anime is as far from similar to that as possible.

That one was good... Pity that it was overshadowed by High School Musical at the time... I liked some of the concepts like:

 

Spoiler

- like the hereditary superpowers and the protagonist being able to get two powers (Oh! poor Deku)
- the two romantic interests being polar opposites, one with the green finger the other with technomancy (a frog girl would be a hit even there!)

- the likely rival being a fire user and with a problematic father (Bakugou and Todoroki are way cooler though)

- the hero comrades all having underdog/excentric superpowers, although they only had oneshot utilities different from BHA (And know a brain like Izuku is missing...)

 

And well the actual synonym of Disney Super Heroes are The Incredibles so there be it...
