How does thuamaturgy work exactly? is it more of an item based deal, where a certain Item can have a specific effect, or is  it more of a caster type thing?

Kinda both actually. No need to use conduits to use thaumaturgy, but people do need magical items in order to perform miracles. The Shroud of Bisel provides this.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO MAKE.

I was thinking an Airship mechanic, but then you said they were all grounded. :(

No fun in being an unemployed mechanic.

Sure there is. As long as you know how to fix other stuff.

This is actually a lot angstier than what I wanted it to be, but whatever, usey's full of angst anyway. That's why he has a blog and writes fanfiction. It's also a lot worse than I wanted it to be, but hey, that's also why I have a blog and write fanfiction.

@Missy

I'm no bum. D:

Anyways, just a couple of things. First, you're actually supposed to be infected with the Ash Scourge, so add that somewhere in your CS. As for your guns, while I did play with the idea of a guy who improved firearms before in another RP, I can't allow this, since guns literally just came into existence. So you're stuck with single-shot rifles and flintlocks still. ;c

Hey Britzle, can Aberath people turn into their animal whenever they want to, or is it more of a werewolf-y, full-moon-y thing?

Sooo...how can I make it that a normal person with a flintlock weapon can keep up with magic/shapeshifters?

Shooting people would probably do a good bit of damage.

Go pirate style and carry multiple flintlocks for faster shooting. Magicians will be just as weak to a bullet in the face as anyone else. Shapeshifters will just become an animal. That could help them take more bullets, or it might make them take less. I think guns should be plenty effective.

It's partial transformation, but you can use it anytime.

Sooo...how can I make it that a normal person with a flintlock weapon can keep up with magic/shapeshifters?

Bullets hurt. The Shroud of Bisel can block anything divine/magical, like the Ash Scourge or spells, but it can't block bullets or swords. In front of steel, it's regular cloth. That said, even people who can shapeshift or use magic have really apparent weaknesses (depending on the animal you shapeshift to, you may not be able to swim, etc.) that may not apply to people who don't use that.

On that note, everyone with the Ash Scourge can use magic as well. If you're choosing not to, that's cool. o3o

I see. So multiple flintlocks. Eight or so.

And a rapier.

Any Chance I could own an airship that can outrun dragons? Like a smuggler?

And I choose not to use magic/shapeshift because being a badass normie is fun.

Dragons move as fast as bullet trains (300 km/hr approx.), airships are much slower in comparison. So probably not.
If you do want a smuggling business, you can fix up a car or a truck or something, and drape it in Shrouds to protect it from rotting outside in the ashes. You;re just going to have to change your windshield often.

Hm. So an aerial smuggler is not an option. Ground doesn't sound nearly as adventurous.

Not even a small, fast little craft? Or is that tech too far ahead of this time.
