Hello my fellow readers!
At first I'd like to mention that I'm not sure, whether this is the right place to start this topic. I'm new to these forums so I'd be thankful, if you told me, in case I messed up.
About this topic: Due to the pacing of the story I recently came up with a new way to spend my time between the chapters instead of actually using my time wisely: Creating theories about the often debated mysteries of the past of the characters of Nisekoi and about the pendant and the keys. As Batoto was seemingly devoid of this topic as of now, I thought that I may start it myself.
The „rules“ are simple:
-The theories should (obviously) be about the plot of the manga. They don't have to be about the past of the main characters. They may be about any of the characters/objects/groups mentioned in the manga.
-The theories do not have to coincide with everything that has been mentioned in the manga. While I think that the theories that do agree with the manga usually are more interesting and fun to read, it can be rather hard to keep track of every detail mentioned in the manga. Also, it grands more freedom to the creative spirits who write these theories.
-The theories do not have to be finished. If you are not satisfied with your theory you might ask the visitors of this topic to alter/add something to your theory (to make it, for example, more believable)
-The theories should not be taken serious. They will (hopefully) be posted with the main intention to entertain the reader and author and not to actually explain anything in the manga (,though it is not bad if they do).
-Finally, a warning: Reading these theories without having read the latest chapter of the manga, might result in spoilers of any sizes.
So have fun!
This theory still needs tons of improvement, so you are free to alter/add anything to it (latest chapter as of now: ch. 120):
What if there is no „promised girl“? What if the truth about the promise has a far darker background?
When Raku and the girls met for the first time, it was partly due to the meeting of several big criminal organizations. They all had enemies: Whether it was the competition or people that suffered from the criminal activities. One of these enemies happened to lose his family to the „Bee Hive“ gangsters. Having nothing left to lose he swore revenge by killing the daughter of the leader, a girl called Chitoge Kirisaki. After some failed attempts (one possibly involving a dog attacking her), he decides to directly confront her. So, one day, when she played with her new friends, he attacked her. However, due to the intervention of a young boy called Raku Ichijou, this attempt not only fails but ends with the death of the attacker by the hands of the boy. Shocked by the turn of events the children swore not to tell a person about this and to try their best to forget about what had happened. Thus, they hid the corpse. However, Raku could not bear the guilt and it started to destroy him from the inside. In their despair, the girls decided to overwrite his memories via hypnosis and instead make him believe he had an important promise with a girl. In order to make sure it worked they went through great lengths, such as creating a little story book about this setting. Finally, they sealed the only left proof of this tragedy in a pendant, so that they may confront their past when they would be old enough to cope with it.
-End of theory-
P.S.: I'm sorry for my broken English. As one might guess, English is not my mother tongue.
