Suicide mission are the only ones that get her excited.

Biography

Found to be compatible with Second Hearts at a young age, Ebony's parents refused to sacrifice their only child. The Anima surgery was just too risky, and it wasn't as if the aliens had found them deep under ground. Because of this, the government replaced Ebony with an imperfect clone that would only live for five years. Soon after, Ebony was experimented on and trained until he was old enough for the surgery. When he was six years old, he underwent the highly dangerous operation and came out the other end a female.

Currently, she is part of a small group of surviving Cetras. After years of watching her friends die or burn out, she knows her end isn't too far away. As a result, she goes out of her way to kill as many of the aliens as possible before she dies. That way, her short life will have had some sort of meaning. Her only companion on this journey is her Hardsuit, Caladborg. An A.I. powered mini battle platform, Calad has two Heavy HGE Assualt Rifles, and a self-destruct "No Retreat, No Surrender" option.

Most of Eights's history is hidden away in official files. She tells each person who asks a different story, some wildly different from others. The only things that link the stories are as follows; in all of them Eights was the 8th Cetra made. Prior to her change she was a member of the research team. The reason for her insanity varies but was never due to her change but instead an event after the change.

It's believed her original name was Mary and that some time after her change she fell into depression and tried to commit suicide. Her method, self-immolation, failed as she regenerated almost as fast as the fire could burn. The pain drove her mad and left her a gibbering husk for some time.

Currently Eights splits time between military and research roles. Despite her broken mind, her intelligence is still something respected

Good. So, then frozen age should be 16yrs even though he had the operation at 6yrs?

I'll update the bio after thinking about it a little more. Then I can better explain how the suit works and how he feels about being a she now. And why he became a she.

The government kidnapped Ebony and replaced him with a clone. But because of the limited resources, they new the clone was imperfect and would eventually die (further covering there tracks).

She lives for only one thing: Death to Invaders. It is said that her ferocity makes her as feared among her own as among the intruders, staying true to the trait shared by her Astrea. 
 

Biography

Who suffers the most in desperate times. Yes, the helpless and thus when things got grim the homeless and the orphans were the first to be rounded up as sheep to slaughter. F-216, original name unknown was an orphan picked up by the government for experimentation. Found to be compatible with second heart and with no family to fall on, she was pushed into the deep end of the dangerous research. To be able to survive the gene of Fei - the deathgaze. She was the 216th child to be put into making a successful Cetra and by divine grace (or demonic) she was able to survive.

 

Currently, she is a part of a rather select group of surviving Cetras and given her second heart she was already written off. Everyday she survives is a mystery but she doesn't bother herself with deep thinking. Rather she busies herself with slaughter, cackling madly and swinging her great-axe she is a symbol of hope and fear among the surviving forces.

The control of HGE to razor point, minimizing HGE usage while increasing cutting power to almost impossible precision. While he can send it out in single long range strikes, or even to give his own blade that extra edge and range, it should be noted that he is also able to freely manipulate it through a swing, allowing him to slash a single target multiple times with a single swing. This is perhaps one of the most efficient heart powers, as it does not require too much Might to be completely effective, on the other hand, more might just means he can cleanly cut through more things, as with not enough, the slashes will be too shallow. Contrary to popular belief, this does not require a weapon, but it helps.

Haseo is rather aloof, choosing to speak very little and keeping a stoic expression and mannerism. As a result he's a man of the job. He's incredibly good at intimidation, all in the glare he says, then again with a razor sharp blade poised in the right direction and it's easy anyway. He possesses great insight in the midst of combat, and has as of late had to change his method of working together with allies, being quite used to simply cutting everything down, he instead in a team operates as the finisher and clean-up, the single-hit-kill style suiting that, and he has no problem with it. Though at times his patience may run thin, and often does when certain things are on the line. He chooses to not attach himself to others as best he can, knowing death can be just minutes away for anyone in this day and age. Regardless, at times he doesn't seem as cold as many make him out to be.

 

He's often seen with some alcohol in hand, many have reprimanded him at first, but his skill with his blade and movement doesn't seem to change at all regardless of how much he drinks. He prefers stronger alcohols, such as vodka and sake.

Born into a land thrown into chaos, disarray and impending destruction, he was a boy who had few aspirations, but if there was anything he valued, it was the way of the sword, a man on his death bed taught him, it almost always seemed as if he'd die, but he still breathed and observed and taught him. As an orphan, Haseo had nothing else in his life, his friends turned to crime or military draft, but he was not as decisive as they were, he was always known as the weaker kid after all. But the way of the sword amazed him, this old man the last of swordsmen hailing from the east, a lost art, now long forgotten in favour of firearms and other means of combat, they say only Anima still use such methods of combat. If anything used a blade today, it wasn't the way of the sword, it was only something or someone swinging a really sharp stick. This man, he taught the way of the sword, an art of war.

 

Finally, the old man drew his last breath, just as he watched Haseo master his finest technique, as if he was waiting for someone to inherit and succeed him. Haseo in the end, never knew who the man was, nor his origins, it seemed as though he was a phantom. None of that mattered now though... Throughout the underground city, he became a bodyguard for hire, many looked at him and his blade with scepticism, so very few wanted to hire him... At least at first. He slowly built a reputation for a few years, and people came to fear and respect his name, yet he served no one in particular. They brought up old stories of 'ronin', and compared him to it. Culture from years past became nothing but fairy tales, so many ended up looking onto him with wonder as well.

 

It was one day though, that the Etrangers came close to the underground city, he was out on a bodyguard duty for a merchant who wanted to acquire some materials nearby, it was very close by, so this was supposed to be a rather low risk job. He ensured the safety of his client, but in the process he lost his arm and part of the torso, but in the end the Etranger was slain. There were still more though, but fortunately as they showed up, one Anima appeared to quell this little scout party, this was the last thing he saw that day.

 

He woke up the next day, but his body felt strange. His missing arm, and part of his torso... Was mechanical. Only recently did they begin cybernetic technology again, so he must've been lucky. His client paid money to have him revived from the dead as a cyborg. He realized another thing, he could feel something else... It was quickly explained to him that he was also given a Second Heart. Cybernetic technology was only going to bring him so far from the brink, in fact with part of his torso missing, it wasn't going to be possible, however they decided to gamble him into a possible Anima, they were able to do it at the time, not to mention he can take on an Etranger and slay it without any enhancements, to the scientists, the Anima who arrived at the scene and his client, it was perhaps the best gamble to take for mankind. It amazed everyone how quickly he adapted to the Second Heart though, bringing compatability to normal much faster than any other first time Anima. Just like that though, his life as a cyborg Anima began.

 

For four years, his blade slew Etranger after another, the Kusanagi ability of his made it trivial to end a battle, allowing him to cover for his standard level compatability, all while making full use of his finesse and might. The alias given to him Hissatsu, was based off of this, one hit, one kill. It didn't sit too well with him, but he was extremely suitable as clean-up, after his allies would fight and wittle down enemies, he would then move in, and in an instant he would end the battle. His ability could do this, but it wasn't the only thing he depended on, some forgot he was a master swordsman, in a combat scenario he was incredibly capable. Today he continues his work, but for what reason he knows not.

 

Professor Heinrick Alkensteiner - "Gentlemen, we can rebuild him, we have the technology"

 

Equipment:

• Masamune v.HGE: A HGE modification of his original Masamune, it immediately channels any HGE it comes into contact with through the handle, and runs it through the blade, and then forming a razor edge that increases the cutting power of the sword. It has very little trouble slicing anything in two while powered with HGE, but functions like it's normal counterpart without HGE.

• HGE "Salamander" Cybernetic Enhancements v.2.1.1: An older model than most cybernetic enhancements today, but as a result of newer models being made to be more efficient to produce, the Salamander model is made of sterner stuff. In the grand scheme of things though, it was more expensive than the newest models, and not that much stronger.

• Cyber Suit v.HGE: A HGE modification of a standard cyborg or android's battle suit. It lowers HGE leakage, is easy to move in, and provides great protection against the elements.

but other than that it seems good to go apart from the pic i would assume you are drawing, and yes you would have been an anima for 2 years, though if it was 2 years ago i would go Judeca seem as Cetra's kinda don't get made anymore.... well sometimes they do but it wont really effect your ability

um from my knowledge only animas can resist the spores, humans may have made vaccines but would probably only be effective nearly straight away..

I was reading the human bio when it occurred to me that, if mobs leave spores when they die, which infect everything around them, then fire should a primary weapon. And then it occurred to me that everything on Earth, possibly including plant life, besides the surviving humans, must all be Etrangers now. So unless there's some sort of DNA Ark, the planet is basically inhabitable, win or loose. Which brought me back to my original point, the war is already lost. They infected everything, they are everything. Might as well bombard the planet from orbit (which sends spores into space, thus beginning the cycle all over again).

Speaking of which, what happened to space exploration?

Savan’s second Hearts power has HSG take the form of a thin aura that surrounds Savan’s body. The aura’s capabilities is much like its predecessors and creates explosions, but the explosions are focused from any part of the body and can come from the tip of his sword or his foot, in dire needs he can make the aura burst all around him causing great damage, though it leaves him drained.

Personality: A true knight in every sense, he has the pride, honour and love of a true warrior and will not back down no matter the situation, even if death breaths down his neck and touches his cheeks. Though those who know him well have noticed slight changes in his behaviour ever since that certain mission that changed him forever.

Bio:

Born into the hopeless world Savan was a strange child, he hated being stuck underground, he would listen to the elder who told stories that his elder told him as a youngling. He heard many things, many legends of the world above and even stories older than any man can really remember, and that was the legend of Knights. Perhaps it was not smart to tell the boy all these stories as when he heard the stories a glitter was always present in his eyes, but perhaps this was fate at work guiding the young boy towards a future beyond the expectations of many… if only this boy was not born as the world was coming to an end.

As the stories continued new stories started being told, these stories are not about the times of old, these stories are recent from the news of a new hope for humanity… the anima. In Savan’s eyes the new hopes were like the knights from legends, fighting against the evil for the greater good, of course Savan would soon come to learn the world was still hopeless, there was no hope… or was there?

One night in the underground city which Savan lived a horrid scream could be heard, it was the scream of fear, the scream of doom. The city soon became chaos, it was strange though there were small aliens… but the one leading them wasn’t big…. it was a Baroques class, but Savan did not know that, all he could feel was fear as his parents were devoured by the horrid creatures that broke into the safe haven underground.

“I don’t want to die” the boy cried as the Baroques class approached him.

“then don’t” a woman's voice said, and as the voice spoke an explosion happened in front of them, the alien was wounded but not dead and it escaped. Savan was shocked with the outcome of what had just happened, he had just been saved by one of the knights he had come to admire and that person was Ayasegawa Fei a woman with a strange beauty that Savan soon came to admire even more. He wanted to talk to the girl but she left as quickly as she came, and her parting words were etched into his mind for the eternity to come, “if you don’t want to die, become stronger” and with that explosions rang through the city of the dead as the once superior aliens fell, burnt, perished. That was humanity's last hope, a power that could even be considered inhuman.

Savan was the only survivor from his town, his family his friends all were dead. But the boy did not break, he was saved and taken to another town, Nibel. As he arrived he learnt this city was the HQ of humanities last hope, with this knowledge a spark stronger than ever before lit in his eyes as he asked if he could have a sword to train with to become stronger, he was denied bluntly by the adults, he begged but nothing so he gave up and thought up different ways to practice. Day in day out he ran laps, he did push ups, sit ups and many different exercises to strengthen his body. He spent over a year of basic training without being able to even touch a sword all he could do was read old books that explained how to wield swords, then a girl walked up to him and handed him a sword, “use this, you can become stronger” the girl was fei, yet again she played the pivot point in Savan’s life. With a sword in his hand he added swinging the sword repeatedly to his daily training and trained with a strong will, a will stronger than most humans in times of hopelessness. His training advanced over time and he pushed himself to his limits, the basic swings of his sword turned into precise strikes of deadly strength….to a normal man and the boy had surpassed the limits that tied most humans down, and that was fear… no it was not right to call him a boy anymore as he was already 20 he had become a fine man.

What would become of this young man in the times of parel? most did not even consider this question if for some reason someone was asked, they would all reply that he is a fool who will die young for having such high hopes. Of course not all thought that what he did was useless as when he finished training he would sometimes come across Fei as she wandered around, then Savan would always try to talk to her, she was not very talkative, and she could act very differently at random intervals but Savan did not care. Maybe it was something like first love? or maybe it was like how an abandoned puppy would follow the one who fed them once? either way as Savan always spent his time separate from others he valued talking to her like nothing else.

Of course all this meant nothing in the end as news spread about the Animas losses, Fei had survived...but it seemed the way she acted worsened and it was decided to put her ‘to sleep’ Savan was deeply saddened by this but he could do nothing but watched as hope turned into despair and humanities last hopes slowly diminished. But hope would never truly fade, if humans have ever been good at anything it is their ability to overcome and find other ways to survive and that is exactly what happened. with the seventh Anima’s ‘death’ it came to light that there was a way to ‘recreate’ these soldiers and people were welcome to volunteer in the experiments.

By the time Savan gained proper knowledge of this experiments had already started taking place, many of the first where failures and died, there were so few successes so far the number of new Animas now named Cetras could be counted with 2 hands, the number was 6, there was one success for every Origin so far…. except one, Fei.

It was inevitable that Savan would volunteer for the experiments, fate was a strange and cruel thing that pulled Savan along. When he volunteered he said he wanted to fei to be his origin, the scientists told him it was impossible to survive the transplant because of the great mental and physical destruction, but he would not budge on what he decided he would become a Cetra with Fei as his origin as he truly believed it was the only way he could repay the one who saved his life. And so they gave in and conducted the transplant.

It was a success

Savan became the First Cetra of Fei and only few would follow him later… but that time was no where near now.

The scientist were astonished by the outcome, he survived and was even mentally stable. It seemed his Undying iron will was considered the cause in the end as they tried again afterwards only to fail, their bodies would either be destroyed or their mentality was completely eaten away while other Cetras born from the other origins slowly succeeded

Pay no heed to the stories of others for now as they are the stories of other men and woman in the new times of hopes and these stories could very well intertwine with Savan’s as time flows through.

What happened to Savan after it was a success? well after some training to understand his new body he was sent straight to battle with the first and third Cetra, Garven Soleg and Julia Evergreen. With only three of them the battle was near one sided with the First’s unstoppable power and Savan’s completely offensive power they shredded through the alien forces while Julia much like her predecessor stayed further back and ‘toyed’ with the lesser aliens.

Hope was reinstilled in humanity.

the Seven original Cetra stood at the helm and became the leaders as new Cetras appeared and more humans gained the courage to fight in some way, even if they could not fight they found other means to contribute to humanity. Many new bright minds came into the light and worked on finding a more stable way to create Anima’s. and with the battles that brought life and death to the Cetras they studied, worked on many things and with the studies they even created armour and a sword for Savan that synced with his HSG which made the seventh leader an even more destructive force.

Savan spent the next few years in constant battle, he could always be seen at the center of the battle covered in the crimson from his foes. Slicing his foes or obliterating them with his Burst Armour and none could compare to his pure power, he was truly worthy to be considered the first Cetra of Fei.

With new hope comes new love

Humans seek for comfort with others and Savan was no exception. From the years fighting alongside Julia Evergreen a bud blossomed between the two as Humanity light in the dark world. Savan had finally found love at 68, maybe this love was the thing savan wanted the most. If asked how the two started dating both would have different stories of when it started, because the love was there for a while they only decided to act on the feelings after a near death experience Savan had in a battle not long ago they realised either one of them could die at any time so what was the point of holding in their feelings and feeling regret at the end of the road.

The romance between the two leaders ended up being a big thing… because you know they are both leaders but their romance was used as propaganda after the release of information of the new more stable Anima transplant, the Judeca’s. The propaganda helped attract new recruits, ‘love in the midst of darkness’ had seemed to hit it off as it was used to recruit and try to keep the minds of the masses off the despair at their doorsteps. But why did they love each other? its not very clear if they know themselves, love is unpredictable and maybe it was due to the fact they were on the battlefield more often together as their abilities were well matched compared to other leaders.

Love progressed, happiness was visible and on the suggestion of the higher ups there was even a public marriage. It is normally the woman that receives the males last name but Savan took on Juvia’s last name as he never had a last name of his own… there is a reason for this but Savan has never and will probably never talk about to even his wife. Their relationship wasn’t all sweet as the propaganda suggested because in the end they were still a normal couple, they loved, they fought they made up and they argued some more. In a way it was a fresh atmosphere. There was even talk of trying to have a child, which while not impossible it was still uncommon and the child would be born normal… but isn’t that what they may want the most? they would fight for a world where their child could live a happy life.

but they never had a child in the end.

 

The greater the hope, the greater the despair

 

It happened 10 years ago, a mission that should have gone smoothly went so wrong in so many ways, this mission was fated to come in a way. It is the very mission that changed Savan…. what could have changed him? read the documents and reports relating to the mission and decide for yourself.

August 14th 3XXX

[The mission was meant to be so simple, there was a horde of Harvester aliens and no leader was sighted the mission was simply annihilate the forces with full force. So a squad lead by Savan and Juvia was sent out for direct combat, They met with the forces… but something was wrong, there was someone...no something standing at the head of the forces, it was a man… no it was no man, Savan recognised the twisted smile all too well, it was the same Baroques as all those years ago. Why was it leading an army? why did it look so… human? what is it’s motives? it seemed different to the other aliens, it didn’t seem to follow the linear thoughts of destruction and devouring of other life. No speculating about that monster is useless.

After anger boiled my blood I drew my sword and charged in a frenzied rage. There is no excuse for my actions, I do not remember much after my rage induced charge… apart from seeing my comrades falling victim to the enemy, It is all my fault they died..everybody died….everyone….even her, i saw it all it’s the only memory burned into my mind. While she died He...no it laughed, it enjoyed watching me suffer then i completely lost it.

The next thing I remember is regaining consciousness on top of a pile of alien corpses, and that was when reinforcements arrived. I didn’t care anymore, everything was gone the one I loved my comrades i failed them all… and IT was nowhere to be found…… I can’t take it much more….I will slaughter them all]

-this is the one and only time Savan the seventh spoke of the failed mission, it has been requested by the higher ups to not personally ask Savan any questions as they have speculated that Savan is experiencing the same ‘issues’ as his predecessor...there may not be much longer left.

There are also medical reports of Savan which can be of interest, he somehow survived the attack with many wounds, his ascension levels where near depleted and he was on the verge of death… what could have happened on that mission to cause this?

There is not much more time left. It may not be visible to many but there have been clear changes in his behaviour patterns, he is starting to deteriorate in a similar way to his origin. We may have to resort to the same method we used on the first, maybe we place the ‘hero’ next to it, what irony as the first and the first of her ‘offsprings’ to eternally sleep side by side.

Savan has lost his way, what does he fight for? who does he fight for? why does he even fight? He ponders these questions and many more in his free time nowadays while sitting alone on a bench at the center of the city, its almost as if he is trying to ask his origin the questions directly as he talks to himself.

“why dous thy wield this sword? Tis this the fate I must bare?”

Savan is the seventh leader and on the verge of being taken off active duty, is this the end of the line for the Knight or is it just the beginning?

I was reading the human bio when it occurred to me that, if mobs leave spores when they die, which infect everything around them, then fire should a primary weapon. And then it occurred to me that everything on Earth, possibly including plant life, besides the surviving humans, must all be Etrangers now. So unless there's some sort of DNA Ark, the planet is basically inhabitable, win or loose. Which brought me back to my original point, the war is already lost. They infected everything, they are everything. Might as well bombard the planet from orbit (which sends spores into space, thus beginning the cycle all over again).

Speaking of which, what happened to space exploration?

Somehow I forgot to transfer that idea from the original idea Vis and I had o.o

Nibel, the HQ, must never fall because of 2 reasons:

• It holds the only technology to produce weapons and Anima
• It holds all the genetic information of the specie that ever roamed the earth, and the means to culture them back to life

Nibel is, in a way, the future's Noah's Ark (one that is armed with laser turrets and defensive drones, that is). The war's purpose is to eradicate the Etrangers, and reintroduce the old life back to the planet. Fire proves to be a good weapon against the smaller creatures, but the bigger ones have developed the means to survive fire. Their spores are so thick and layered that burning would not do much harm to them. Against such opponents, human relies on 'poisoning' the spores with high concentration of HGE, a process also known as 'purification'. It will be a similar process to oxygen poisoning to human, or drowning seeds in water to most terrestrial plants. Overdose of something is never a good thing.

 

Spores requires contact with biological matter to germinate. Without said contact, they would die out in the matter of hours (or minutes, if it originates from the weaker lifeforms). Having understood that, human simply outfit their soldiers with thick, insulated armor that does not allow the spores to penetrate into their flesh. Ceramic-based plates meshed into a kevlar body armor would be a good idea to start with, I think?

 

Space travel.. Hmm.. It'll be a long read on that one, so bear with me.. Also, spoiler alert!

The thing with HGE is that it is not in fact infinite. Think of them as woods that could be grown and harvested in a matter of minutes, and once they are burnt the ashes could be grown into a new tree in a matter of hours. They are 'infinite' because they are highly recyclable. The thing with space travel is that.. HGE will be spent with no means to recycle it during the voyage, which makes them no different to the current liquid oxygen fuel.

 

Sure, humans have thought of using solar energy to power their vessel once they left the orbit, but said energy would not be able to support a faster than light travel thanks to the output limitations. With no hospitable planet in sight for.. I don't know, 1000 Light Years? all around the Earth, we simply could not take human to conquer planets outside our solar system.

 

Attempts to Terraform Mars was also made, at one point, but that was also abandoned. The low gravity does not allow us to create dense enough atmosphere to sustain human life. Some scientists had developed a prototype machinery that could be used to strengthen the gravity (that thing the Gnomes use and maintain in Aria), but the sheer size and weight of it has made transport to Mars too costly for humans to afford. Therefore, since they are not having any problem living on Earth, human put the idea of conquering space on a hiatus.

 

Our moon, Luna, actually holds a small community of scientists on its surface. Saying anything more would be a huge spoiler so I will stop here :>

 

I am very happy with the curiosity you showed, uncle. It made me realize how lacking my lore is, and how hard sci-fi scriptwriters need to work to make their works believable XD
