Personality: Hugo is very kind, and loving of many things. But the hunt always comes first; that and the care of his companions. Extremely polite, and gentlemanly, he can have quite the temper if he sees someone being wronged however. A master of misdirection, and getting people to do the things he needs done without them realizing that they are doing so; allows him to easily gather the information he needs for the hunt.
 
History:

Hugo was born in a time where people were still getting used to "The Weird". Though, besides this, his childhood was fairly normal, other than his small township constantly harassed by monsters. Mother a nurse, and father a simple doctor, he had a happy life regardless. When an animal changed by "The Weird" attacked their clinic, and injured his mother, Hugo along with his father took up arms to find the beast and procure an antidote to the poison it infected her with. This was when Hugo felt something strange. A thrill, unmatched by anything he had done in his young life. He was a natural at tracking. But his father, was not in his element out there in the wilds. Hugo thought to himself, "Bumbling fool! We will die if he doesn't go back!" and so, he told his father of his concerns. Now Mr. Skitters wasn't a coward, but he could clearly see that he was holding his son back. Against his parental judgement of leaving a ten year old in the wilds with a rife, he went back to stabilize his wife. With that done, Hugo himself felt freedom. It couldn't have bee more easy for him somehow. He followed the tracks into a copse, and found it, resting from it's raid. Taking careful aim with his rifle.....boom. The beast was dead. Not a very interesting and engaging story is it? I thought not myself. But That's how it goes with Hugo's first hunt. It was easy, simple. From that point on, he was hooked.
 
He got the beasts venom, and brought it back. His mother was fine with some help from his father. Life continued to normal. But Hugo grew restless. He wanted the thrill of the hunt again. So, when his parents closed up the clinic and went to bed at night, he alone defended the town from monsters. Honing his natural skill at tracking, and trapping. He amassed tons of trophies of his kills, and made his own set of gear from them in secret Spending his morning's sleeping, afternoons planning, and training. Gradually, the people noticed that there hadn't been any attacks in quite some time. Word reached a new organization, The Copernican League; about a town that though in the thick of things, wasn't being attacked at all. They came and did some research, and someone pointed them to the Skitter family, who somehow had been making a lot of remedies for various ailments out of nowhere. Dr. and Mrs. Skitters gladly welcomed them into their home, and the good Dr. Skitters showed them all the groundbreaking medicines he had made thanks to some venom his son had brought back. By this time, Hugo was 20, and living on his own in a cabin near the towns outskirts. When the members of the Copernican League showed up, the house was empty. Showing themselves inside, they were suddenly awestruck with what they saw. Lining the walls were hundreds of skins, heads, and more from beasts twisted by "The Weird".
 
A click sounded behind them. "Gentlemen, how very nice to see you intruding upon my home. Now, would you kindly, leave my home before I place a shot within each of your skulls? I'd rather keep my little hobby under wraps you see." said Hugo to the three men. They slowly backed out of the house and then Hugo walked past them, shouldering his rifle. "Many thanks gentlemen! If you'd like to properly introduce yourselves without trespassing, I will be happy to accommodate you." he said, tipping his hat and closing the door. The men, still in shock from the contents of the cabin and their brush with death; knocked gingerly upon the cabin door. It immediately opened with Hugo standing there with a welcoming smile. "Visitors! Come in, come in!" he said ushering them inside. Motioning towards some seats, the members of the League sat down promptly. "Q-Quite the collection you have here Mr. Skitters!" one of them said. Hugo laughed heartily "Quite so good sirs! I was wondering how long it'd be before someone found out my little secret." Hugo said, serving out tea. "Now, what is the purpose of your visit?" he asked kindly.
 
They explained that they were members of an organization dedicated to finding out about "The Weird" and his town was an abnormality in the scheme of things. "Of course, we now see why Mr. Skitters! We wonder, if you'd perhaps like to work for us? We desperately require specimens, and a skilled individual to acquire them. These trophies you have gathered are all quite extraordinary!" one said eagerly while Hugo sipped upon his tea. "Well now. Gentlemen, you had my curiosity. Now you have my attention. The "Hunt" has gotten quite boring here...I am in need of something new, and spectacular. Very well Sirs! Point me in the direction of where you'd like me to go!" Hugo excitedly told them. "W-Well, there is a group of condor's that can spit acid and survive underwater to the east bu-"  Hugo held up a hand and cut him off. Grabbing his gear, he tipped his hat, and went out the door calling out. "See you in a few weeks men! TALLY HO!" Hugo yelled happily, riding off to the east.
 
So it was like this, for many many years. Hugo Geraldine Skitters worked for Copernican League, as they pointed him to wherever the hunt was most interesting. He was unmatched, and always got his target with precision. As a side job to test his abilities against the fellow man, he also became a renowned Bounty Hunter. Through the years, his name spread far and wide. Then, forty-six years into the hunt, he dropped off the face of the earth. Of course, he was soon found. Living in his same old cabin. The Copernican League begged him to come back, yet Hugo told them simply "Oh, I'd love to be out there. Hiding in the brush. But When your joints creek and scare away the prey? What's the point! Harharhar!" and closed the door on them. Yes, Hugo had lived a wonderful life. Now he was living out his days with his little animal companions, Mimi the Ferret and Braxton the Mouse. He received an anonymous letter in 2014, saying a Winged Albino Tigerbear was sighted just outside the Weird Bowl. This hunt, was one he couldn't pass up. His final glory. Not wanting to leave his furry little friends alone, he brought them along.
 
Forty days he tracked it before it inside of the Weird Bowl where it retreated. Hugo stood there, weary and old, using his rifle as a cane. For a normal hunter, this would be it. Nobody who ever went into the Weird Bowl came out right. Mimi ran forward at the edge and squeaked. "Har! You are right there fair Mimi! I'm old anyways! What could happen! Onwards to glory my friends!" Hugo roared triumphantly, ventured into the source of The Weird. Now, I can't tell you what he saw, or what happened. But when Hugo, Mimi, and Braxton came out of The Bowl with the corpse of their hunt a month later, they were different. Braxton grew to the size of a full grown horse, and Mimi and Hugo had switched places. Hugo was now in Mimi's body, and Mimi was in Hugos. Fortunately, and unfortunately, they kept their normal mannerisms. For the past two years, they all have been getting used to their situation. In a way, this was a blessing for Hugo. who now was in a younger, and far more agile body. Gaining back his moxie as The Greatest Hunter To Have Ever Lived, He is ready to get back to the hunt. Then perhaps, find a way to fix this. Two years or not, it's still terribly confusing, isn't it?

 
 
Weird: The way the weird has changed this trio, is apparent, and disturbing in some ways. They were all blessed with a form of longevity, and Hugo has the ability to speak in his body of a female ferret, and can understand animals. Thanks to custom equipment, he can utilize it all normally, but with the attributes of  being a rodent. Mimi on the other hand, hasn't gotten the hang of speaking in Hugo's body and squeaks in jitters, and random words. Also is prone to still scurrying about on all fours, and collecting shiny objects. Braxton is as big as a 7ft horse, and is trained expertly like one, and a circus mouse.  

 

Inventory: Hunting/Skinning knives, bait pouches, water flask, custom made fighting claws, pistols, enhanced hunting rifle tooled for normal elephant gun usage but to Hugo's new size, tranquilizer darts, exploding rounds, and even more types of hunting bullets, various survival gear, money, and other effects(Mimi's favorite shinies) within Braxton's saddlebags.

@Lilith - Is the link for New Bedlam broken? In any case the pictures are quite accurate although in the case of the Fore and others they only show a portion of the area. Also remember that the Cataclysm happened in 1904 so Vegas was just a small western town. Its obviously grown since then due to it being clear of the Weird, but it won't be that high tech if you're thinking there might still be electricity and such. Any power source in this rp is powered by Lightstone.

 

Also any historical inaccuracies on my part can be attributed to this being an alternate timeline not necessarily based on the world as we know it.

The link is fine, I just meant, with all that was going on in the picture, it would be the Weird version of Las Vegas. I didn't even think of the actual place being in the story, much less introducing it.

I was looking at the picture and wondering how to describe the place, or any of the places, with all that is going on. For example, in the New Bedlam pic, the sky is orange and there are green fish floating around. The last time I wrote a story about reality bending, the gm asked me to tone it down.

Hmm well New Bedlam is unaffected by the Weird for the most part so you wouldn't see fish floating around and the orange sky could just be the sun setting. Also the Weird doesn't really cause reality to bend. Its more of the long the lines of the landscape and wildlife taking on unusual qualities. In the Weird Bowl it could feel like an MC Escher painting, but that's an extreme example.

 

Anyway New Bedlam isn't the starting point. Its the Plateau.

 

Also I'll be sure to provide as accurate a description as I can according to where you guys are.

The time isn't that relevant but mid afternoon. Marsha's Plateau is exactly what it sounds like. It's a small town on top of a plateau ._.
There's a natural stairway to get on and off the Plateau.

Oh, we were talking about two different anime then, lol. I forgot about Jormungand.

 

Hadrian and Koko were first conceptualized in Rogue's RP "Of Gods and Men." Later they were further developed in other roleplays. However, they're not the characters I'm planning on making.
