If I could suggest something, maybe something similar to Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash? I wanted to incorporate the world of Pokemon in it too. I was originally going for that sort of concept but eventually strayed away from it. Maybe you'd be interested in it?

So its a fantasy world set in the Pokemon universe? They'd serve as monsters and people would hunt them down?

Would anyone be interested in that? If a handful of people want to try it, I can come up with something.

Have run that literal setting. Right now the hunting monster thing is a bit similar to Re:Monster, which we already having an existing RP of. I'm sure you'll still get players, since it's a pretty popular concept, but if you wanted something more distinct then maybe shoot for something else.

 

Honestly, I think it's best you just run what you want rather than trying to cater to us, because 1.Have more interest in updating it that way  2. We're a bunch of drooling idiots who don't know what we want anyway

I appreciate the advice, dad. I'm hoping to go for something novel but still be familiar to me so that even I don't lose interest sine I've noticed that from other RPs for quite some time now.
Honestly, I'm quite the fan of One Piece and Superheroes, but I feel those things are a bit too overplayed and wouldn't garner participants.

Would you prefer the classical/original style of One Piece or something more serious and possibly dark?

I was also thinking of a Log Horizon-based concept but the world would be one massive archipelago and job classes would be centered around piracy, seafaring, naval expeditions, and the like.

tbh I find really game-like systems with classes and everything to be a little too convoluted for the text-based format available here. I'm a huge fan of tabletop and like classes and stuff, but those games have like 8000 pages of rules. Full disclosure: I won't be reading 8000 pages of rules for a text-based forum RP.

 

I'm in general a fan of regular One Piece, as the idea of exploration of really outlandish places is kind of unexplored here in my experience, but honestly if you were to make something darker with log horizon-esque influences (I haven't read/watched that, so I can't extrapolate upon what that means), I'd probably still hold a vested interest because I would like to make out with Zoro-chan.

I know what you mean, but all those messed up concepts are kind of hidden under a veil of anime. Was just wondering if you preferred to make that veil significantly smaller or remove it all together. Actually, we can't remove everything, that would make the thing too awkward.

When sun/moon comes out, I might finally, finally, finally get around to making a competitive team. Probablymaybe.

I think starting this RP was a bad idea. I might as well go with plan B if things don't work out.
