The format of the Anime would be too important. As I see this, unless an Animator pick up the original content from One, not the redraw version, chances are the typical mainstream shitty everything the same Anime will ruin OPM. But if the original content from One is picked up, with a good art style that can catch the mood of the comic then I expect it to be a blow. But you should never expect an Anime to follow the same format of a Manga or webcomic because of different standard, technique, business.

Doubt it will happen this year. Though I will totally like the idea of the anime. It's just not gonna happen this year. Too few source material. Either way maybe an animation kinda like Attack on Titan?

That makes no sense.. The Manga is literally the Webcomic but more detailed and HQ, along with an expanded universe which is a collaboration between ONE and Murata..
And I hope that they at least attempt to release a pilot OVA or something by 2015. It would be.. Nice.

Why not just use the original webcomic by ONE as source?

I would definitely want to see this becoming an anime. Hopefully it will be the same as the manga, PURE EPIC.
