I also thought it wasn't possible judging by the state of the car, but it was indeed 40-45 mph ._.

They have it posted on the news, it was on a 15 mph road, and they crashed into an edge or something like that.
Only the turn limit was 15 mph, it was a 45 mph road. Anyways, your car doesn't ignite like that from a crash at that speed. I won't believe the news until there is a good video showing the accident, nowadays there are cameras anywhere so there has to be one.

Where are you gonna find a camera in a back road? Back roads never have them, unless it is a main road or highly used one.

"Sheriff's detective Jeff Maag told People magazine the driver "was doing well over 45 [mph] – [it's] fair to say at least twice that." -------"That means Maag believes Rodas was going at least 90 mph on a street where the limit was just 45."
so yeah
